Julio is the Centerpiece of this offense. Julio went 4 for 40 so far from the road trip to today. This is .100 BA. If Julio doesn’t produce, no player at the deadline can make up the difference that Julio was supposed to provide.

You speak the truth, William. I wanted to sit Julio in April for 3 straight days. It hasn't been just hitting. He had at least 6 instances when he fail to call off the left or right fielders. Once I thought injuries resulted, but it was a near miss. I've seen 3 rookie baserunning mistakes. I know how young he is. But I'm not in the mood for excuses. He has close to 100 Strikeouts in 85 games, easily on pace to top his 175 K's from last season. Breaking balls, off-speed stuff. That's the book. But i don't see him far too often step to the plate with a plan for the pitcher he is facing. 0-2 after 0-2. I'll stop now.

It's so hard to watch julio right now he feels like an automatic out I think Raleigh thought it was going to be gone so I think he didn't hustle out of the box

No amount of trades are going to take this team from WORST OFFENSE IN THE LEAGUE to something respectable and capable of a playoff run imo. The shit part is Dipoto is already on the hot seat, so they’re going to go for it when we ABSOLUTELY should not.

Yeah J I was super pissed when Servais didn't challenge that Raleigh double.. I thought he was safe in real time and the replay sure looked like the tag was missed. I don't get on Servais much but there's zero excuse for that in the bottom of the eighth down 5-1. Anyways I appreciate the post games even on the losses! Nice work 👍

The no challenge on the Cal play was baffling - apparently the RNG 8-ball in Servais hand said, "chances not good". For real though, his instincts and game feel really come into questions at times.

I think we can all feel it in our hearts that this is the same old mariners team. The first place lead is great but the west is terrible. The offense is just non existent.

I think this off-season was a huge detriment to both the chemistry of the locker room & development of Julio. When Cal & JP called out the M's for not going after it, then getting hushed from the team for speaking the truth. It caused major rifts for all our offensive leaders, who may have already mentally checked out of this team. Plus, it may have shown Julio some bad habits both on and off the diamond. This off-season pi$$ed off a lot of people, both fans & players. We might have ruined some key players that were supposed to be our core.

You said exactly what I was thinking. The Mariners seem to be the ones who help struggling or ordinary pitchers look like Cy Young award winners. Get a little mean, guys and be selfish. The Mariners I mean.

For unrelated reasons I was actually up and able to watch this game live here in Nottingham. It was a 3:10am start, the sun was rising by the 5th 🤣
I’m not sure I take Bryce Miller out there but who cares, he’d already given up _two_ runs, and the M’s literally couldn’t score a second to tie it, so who cares about the pitching? It doesn’t matter.
There were some really nasty ABs there, some horrid fielding mistakes. It just looked ugly. Garver had one that looked as bad as Julio’s worst and Julio had one as bad as Canzone’s worst. Shame it wasn’t just my lack of sleep making it look that way.
I’m glad we’re seeing some small ball here and there, that wasn’t there at all in the first month or two of the year, no sacrifices, no bunts, etc. but we actually do need some big ball at some point too.
I bet we trade Polo and he starts hitting again somewhere else, he’s just one of those guys that goes to his first new org as a career one org guy and gets shelled.
Sorry for the essay lmao, evidently had more thoughts than I thought this morning, time for coffee I think 🤣

This is maybe the worst lineup in Ms history, but on paper it should be good. When everyone is struggling you have to look at the coaching I think.

This offense is not a postseason ready offense at the moment. There is still plenty of time for this offense to become a postseason offense. Meanwhile there is a postseason ready offense 4.5 games behind them.

It's like watching a bad 90s TV show in the 7th season when they've run out of ideas. This offense needs to pick it up. We need to make some trades or just stop running out the old guys so much. Bliss should be getting some more playing time and I'd rather have Raley at 1B than Ty right now. Pull the trigger on a deal, set the market!

Two words: Scott Servais. Wayyyyyy too laid back. He's a frat boy. He is NOT capable of remaining as our coach. He makes head-scratching decisions, and he doesn't seem to care about holding his players to their standard. They need to have a players' only meeting or something. To give up Locklear for Polanco??? I don't care that he was 'the guy' that the Mariners wanted. But clearly, the Twins knew something...
