Thank you, Amry love doing these sales. Some I think should have brought a little more, but the saying goes if I wanted them to go for more I, should have been bidding. All in all it was a fun time!
At least it's not raining in the blazing hot summer when it gets so humid after a monsoon. I used to live in Glendale in the 80's for a few years, the lack of storm drains in Phoenix and Glendale was absolutely mind boggling. They should put black numbers on the light horses, a person can barely see the white numbers. What makes a horse sell for 180k, Bragging rights, breeding, competition money? Lot 8 had Pepto and Gun blood, no wonder, that's great reining ancestry.
Very fun never seen a sale like that. As a complete novice the Wilson horses are planted or schema buyers, especially if two years in a row buying high horse. Not so sure bringing out the kids is a good high sale tactic. The horses that preformed more and looked strong and showed skills during the sale brought higher prices I thought.
Thanks, Amry ... I liked the 8 ... how close is he related to Alan's stud 66, I know they are both Peptoboosmal bred but don't know how close. So, are the prices primarily based on past show performances? I don't recall seeing any mares, so please tell us how much breeding counts on all the geldings. Confirmation? Flashiness? Color? The preview? Do tell!
I don’t think this sale accepts many mares… mostly geldings. They’ve only sold one mare ever at this sale, kinda crazy! I think prices are based on a few things like breeding, color, and show record. For example, the high selling horse won over $60,000 at the 2022 Riata Buckle roping. Proven winners definitely have a higher price tag. I think another big part is who is selling the horse. Some people are known for having really good horses. I’ve noticed once people get a good reputation, the prices of their horses usually goes up.
Ahhh thank you! I filmed this video on an iPhone. I’m not sure what camera the auction site used but I know they have to be stationary for all the wires to be connected. I have the freedom to move and get different angles
Pitzer horse went cheap, appaloosa was well priced, amish kids palimino was a bargain. Interesting how well the grade horses did, both in the preview and the auctio. All that foundation first and futurity stuff is over rated.

Love the sale video. My rodeo Granddaughter rides a stallion out of Peptoboonsmal in Cutting. That I think they said he was sired by him.

This sale was all geldings! Crazy, but the general public likes geldings better than mares …

I don't think they got a good sale anyway if they keep them kids out there and show that horse off they get more money
Not a fan of how these horses are shown during the sale. They are rode hard and look mighty uncomfortable. I like calm and in control, not chaotic.
? These are ropin horses. This is what they do. Riders are exhibiting the skills they have. In no way did they look uncomfortable
