Just know, the game against the Suns is a far bigger story. McHale talks about it in other videos. If you continue on with Larry, you'll hear it.

Larry Legend... The biggest trash-talking psychopath in NBA history.

And it's not even close, LOL. Larry would get ejected from today's league in his first game, and they'd have to hospitalize the other players just due to his trash talking.

The general consensus is Michael Jordan, I have Jordan and Bird at 1a and 1b, either way around. For one, Bird moulded Jordan into the player he became. 23-11 record against Jordan (17-11 regulars, 6-0 playoffs), he taught Jordan the mental part of the game. Jordan is the GOAT, Bird is the GOATs GOAT.

Larry is a legend, there's no doubt about it. But Bird didn't mold Jordan into anything, don't be ridiculous. All it shows is you didn't know who Jordan was. Jordan could have played right out of high school. Guess some had no clue he was a Kobe Bryant that chose college. Him and Worthy were unstoppable. Jordan hit the league leading ALL scorers. If he hadn't been injured in his second season, he would have held that title 8 out of his first 8 seasons in the league. Nope, it was the brutal Celtics that beat the crap out of everyone for years, that other teams got sick of. The Pistons went out and hire a hockey team people know as the Bad Boys. They finally won a fight and Bird retired. So the Bad Boys had to kick the crap out of the Bulls until they too, hired their own hockey team. But Jordan hit the league with far greater impact than Bird and Magic did. His team just wasn't tough enough to beat the Celtics either.

@@bettyrose959 ha ha ha WOW, Your The One That Needs To Do Some Research. Stop Giving Jordan The Excuse, "He Didn't Have A Good Team". Here Is A Little Research That I Guess You Don't Know. The Year Before Bird (1978-79) Came Into The Celtics. The Celtics Only Won 29-Games. Bird Comes In His First Year To That Same Team In (1979-80) And Bird Helped Them Win 61-Games. And Even Got Them To The Playoffs, Yes They Lost, But He Got This Crappy Team That Far. Bird's 2nd Year, He Got The Ring/Title (1980-81). How Long Did It Take Jordan To Get His 1st Ring/Title? Answer Is: 7-Years. How Many 50/40/90 Season's Does Jordan Have? Answer Is: 0. And We All Know Bird Was The VERY First To Get A 50/40/90 Season & He Has A Few.So Larry Is Everyone's Daddy On That List, Because He Was The VERY First To Have EVER Done It. I Can Tell You Weren't Around For Those 80's Games Back When MEN Played Real BB. But Everyone "Beat The Crap Out Of Each Other". Most Of The Time It Wasn't Really Done On Purpose BUT Yes Sometimes You Could Tell It Was. Find Some Whole Games From Back Then & There On Here YT. You'll See That Bird Didn't Give Out A Lot Of Cheap Shots. But Yes They Would Try To Hurt Bird Just Like They Would Try To Hurt Jordan. Because Both Could Score. Also They Would Go After Bird Because He Was One Of The Best In Passing. Jordan Was Unstoppable One On One. And Bird Would Bait 2 OR 3 To Guard Him Because He Knew His Passing Skills Would Get The Team Points. Back Then It Was More Exciting Watching Them In The Paint. But When It Comes Who Was The Best All Around Player & Still To This Day Has The Highest BB IQ, Hands Down Bird. Also Here Is One Last Reminder Of Bird. Bird Is Still To This Day (2024) The LAST ONE TO HAVE WON 3-MVP'S, Three Years In A Row, 1984, 1985 & 1986. That's Been 38-Years Now.

@@gailshepard-cook6350 You need to do some research. The year before Larry got to the Celtics was the first year under new ownership. They combined two different teams together. The Buffalo Braves and the Boston Celtics. The owner of the Celtics knew he could never move the Celtics out of Boston and traded ownership to the Buffalo Braves. He then moved the team to what YOU know as the Clippers. In that deal he brought players with him. Even though the team had 5 future Hall of Fame players and the #2 draft pick Cedric Maxwell. In the 1977-78 season, the Celtics missed the playoffs for the first time since 1970-71 Dave Cowens rookie season. After Coach Satch Sanders was fired following a 2-12 start to the 1978-1979 season, Cowens served as player-coach for the remainder of the season. The team finished the year with a 29-53 record. This was the last time the Celtics would miss the playoffs until the 1993-94 season. It's the Boston Celtics. Was stacked with Future Hall of Fame players for decades. Most of the years with Bird, they could field ALL 5 positions with HoF players and still have 1-2 coming off the bench. ALL of their numbers are in the rafters. Look up, it's the Boston Celtics. Packed with future Hall of Fame players. Not just Larry Bird. Larry had the ability to make HoF players better. He did that from day one. Doesn't change the fact the team had 6-7 HoF players on the team his whole career.

@@gailshepard-cook6350 Didn't give Jordan any excuses. The Bulls weren't tough enough to beat a HoF Celtics team. You act like the Celtics were bums. You see, the owner of the Celtics traded the franchise with the Buffalo Braves (the Clippers)during the 77-78 season, who brought players with him. Under new ownership the Celtics missed the playoffs for the first time since Dave Cowens1970-71 rookie season. Even with 5 HoF players and the drafted Cedric Maxwell. First full season, Coach Satch Sanders was fired following a 2-12 start to the 1978-1979 season, Cowens served as player-coach for the remainder of the season. The team finished the year with a 29-53 record. 4 HoF players. It's the Celtics, for crying out loud. Larry's rookie season had 5 HoF (not counting Bird) players and a new coach. Didn't miss the playoff until the 90's. It's the Celtics, for crying out loud. Following season McHale and Parish showed up. The Celtics had 6 HoF players (not counting Bird.) This continued with Bird his whole career. 6-7 HoF players every year, It's the Celtics. They've been the top team for decades, missing the playoff twice under NEW OWNERSHIP. Still packed with HoF players. They would kick the crap out of opponents. They threw fists on a regular basis. They were tough, Jordans Bulls were not, either were the Pistons. They hired hockey teams. Pistons Bad Boys. The team everyone hates. They were mean, remember? It's because they got sick of the Celtics beating the crap out of them too. But Larry played his whole career with 6-7 HoF players on his team. You act like I'm saying Larry sucked. He didn't. He is a legend, able to make HoF players play even better. Go sit down. I know exactly what I am talking about. I don't need to research. I lived through it. Celtics had 2 poor season under new owner, Until Larry got there with a new coach.

@@bettyrose959 Granted Yes they were a lot of HOF in the 60’s that some went into the 70’s and a few 70’s that went into to 80’s. But Come On Most of Them were in They’re last Year OR Years. Bird Was playing with some beaten down “HOF”. Also Bird didn’t really have that many HOF players in His First Year. His Second Year Chief & McHale came in. Chief was about to Quit BB altogether, right before He got Traded to the Celtics. McHale was a Bench Warmer. And It You really look at the Stats of 1980-81, between Maxwell & Bird You’ll See Who Should Have Gotten That Final’s MVP. Bird was the One who had gotten players on that Team, What it really meant to learn to Pass & For Sure to be Ready for His Passing. If Chief & McHale didn’t have Bird, I don’t Think Either One Would Have Made The HOF. I don’t get where You have that Bird Played with 5 other HOF Not Counting Bird?
Let’s Just Say Bird Walked Into BB in His Very First Year With Those All Around HOF Skills.
He was A Great Leader For That Team. Hell even when His Back got so messed up, That pretty Much New Team Needed Bird Out There. Because of His Highest Ever BB IQ, To Help Them Get Their Points. Bird On the Floor From His 1st Year till His Last Year He Was Like Their Coach Out There Too. Like I said I Really Like Jordan, But He Did Not Have The All Around Skills Like Bird. So Now You Can Go Lay Down On The Couch. Also Bird Didn’t Give A Damn About His Stats LIKE Others. He Enjoyed Getting The Whole Team Involved. If You Have EVER Watch His Whole Games, There Were Many Times He Could Have Scored BUT He Choose To Pass So Others Felt Involved. So Yes Bird Could Have PADED His Stats If He Wasn’t So UNSELFISH.
