My mom got me into the Halloween series and we were both excited to hear about a sequel/reset but she passed before it's release.
I had so much fun watching this in theaters. Everybody was vocal, high-fiving each other at the "Gotcha" part. It was great, she would have loved it. The other two, not so much.
Dude, I’m so sorry. This must hurt. I know how it feels to lose a loved one before an important point, but I have no idea how it must feel for that loved one to be your mother. My grandfather was an veteran, and we were very close. On Veterans Day, I was checked out from school to receive the news from my crying mom and aunt that he had passed that morning, just a few days before I turned 10. My father passed just about a month after.

Storm Akima if y'all thought this incarnation of The Shape was brutal in this film then wait till y'all check out Halloween Kills because in Halloween Kills not only is The Shape even more deadly brutal than be4 but he's also extremely/super/ultra/very p'd/ticked off after what happened 2 him in the end of this film!
Halloween Kills is going to give them the shivers lol
He made somebody’s head explode in Halloween 6. If you’ve seen that, nothing in kills will top that.

I tell ya Storm, 😂 😂 😂 your sister is a riot, and she's so darn memeable when things get tense or at jump scares. And if I didn't know better, I'd say the reason you show your mom horror movies is because there's a life insurance policy out there with your name on it as the beneficiary 🤣 🤣 🤣 because every five minutes she looks like she's gonna have a heart attack.
They made this to be a straight sequel from first one
Halloween 2018, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends are their own storyline that happens as another timeline to Halloween 1978, they're honestly better than a good number of the previous sequels but people like to complain. Rwally curious t I see your thoughts on the other 2.

A perfect storm is also an excellent movie for y’all to watch if y’all haven’t already and it is based on a true story as well
Halloween movie suggestions: Goosebumps 1&2, Corpse Bride 2005 and The Curse of Bridge Hollow 2022.
This is a direct sequel to the 1978 film. None of the other films happened so Laurie has only had 1 run in with him and they are not related. This is why her daughter and everyone else thinks she was overreacting and why her traps were not foolproof.
Within this Halloween timeline, the only movies that go together are the original Halloween 1978, Halloween 2018, Halloween Kills 2021 And Halloween Ends 2022.

Only the very first one from 1978 counts for this film. All others after that are not part of this storyline. There are two sequels: Kills and Ends. Means: Yes, they (Laurie and Michael) are NOT siblings.

And don't listen to any negative comments about Halloween Kills or Halloween Ends. I just think too many people can't see them for what they are, and how they're different even though they're still slasher/horror films. There is a lot of brutality, gore... but both films are also aiming to be elevated slashers. I, personally, think they succeeded well.
That's funny watching this on my tablet and suicide squad on tv and when you guys reacted to her shooting up the mannequins at same time will Smith is shooting up the targets at the prison funny how that synced up lol
2018-Ends ignores everything that came before except the original.

defently recommend sequels kills and ends , the characters all back in it laurie and her daughter and grand kid , kills watch the exdented cut , its extra brutal and longer ending

Storm Akima with the motion sensing lights scene in this film either The Shape's impossibly sneaky/stealthy when he needs/wants 2 be or he Teleported either way/however way y'all look at it somehow The Shape all of the sudden is in between the motion sensing lights & the poor poor Oscar character of this film!
He's not fully human. John Carpenter has said he's human with a supernatural edge. HE made him to be the actual boogeyman, something you can't kill.
This one connects with the first one there for all the others are not in it's timeline and because of that they were not siblings in this one. I like this one and I liked Halloween Kills not such a fan of the one that came after this movie though.

This movie is so gruesome I’m surprised you all actually watched this some of the kills I can’t watch just so brutal

The original ending was to be Michael and Laurie knife fighting on her front lawn. Both would get torn up with Laurie getting the upper hand. Karen and Allyson would get her in the truck and drive off to the hospital and the camera would go back to Michael's body, but it's missing. We'd see Michael stumbling through the woods, taking his mask off, blood trailing him as he stumbles and falls at the base of a tree. Gripping his chest, labored breathing and we'd then see him die of a heart attack.
I love this ending because at the end of the day, he's a man. They did their best to rid the supernatural elements of the original Halloween series and ground it back down to somewhat reality. But when Halloween Kills and Ends were announced, they chucked that theme out the window. Bummer.
That ending is awful. There's a difference between grounding it and flying in the face of what makes the character captivating. This whole notion of is he, or is he not, this being Loomis spoke of in the original is the key to why the character worked. He wasn't a man, nor this cultist creation, but rather an enigmatic force of nature. That's why a lot of people didn't like Ends, because it showed he is still susceptible to age and he lost everything that made him interesting. This ending, for better or worse, follows that original through line without fully answering that question, this keeping the legacy afloat.
That ending was shit. He's a superhumanly strong, durable (nearly impossible to kill), and he's gonna lose a knife fight to a 60-65 year old lady lol. Myers is not just a man though. David gordon green is a hack who had no clue how to use the character. For 2018 he said they wanted to ground it and make him a man that can take amazing amounts of damage, but it's a normal dude.
***SPOILERS FOR KILLS & ENDS****
In this he has laurie with that monologue on how the more he kills the stronger he gets, that you can't kill him with brute force as he kills the mob after taking an insane amount of damage In ends he's back to being an old, frail man getting pushed around by a nerd lol

They took it out because of test screenings. people HATED it. I was at the Halloween convention in pasadena in 2018, and last weekend and taking to a lot of people they mostly hated it also.
There's a image of that ending where Michael sits down to die but he has his mask on so he never took it off.
Halloween 2018 is 40 yrs after Halloween 1978 so Halloween 1978 happened Halloween II didn’t
This movie should have been the end
Halloween Kills was good
But the ending ruined that one
And Halloween Kills just ruined Halloween Kills completely
