After watching the SEC Championship and now watching the first half of FL STATE game & Michigan game, it’s not even close.
The best 2 teams just played each other.
And Bama won.
I'm a huge Bama fan and hate Texas but I think the Longhorns have the talent to beat Georgia or Alabama. Sark is a great playcaller.

I grew up an Alabama fan and ended up coaching high football. My all time favorite coach to watch on a practice field is Kirby Smart. We use to get to watch Alabama practice as HS coaches from time to time and he would sprint down with the kickoff team coaching them the entire way back. He makes you want to be a better coach just watching him. I’m happy for my Tide, but Kirby Smart is the real deal. A hero of mine for a long time.
Bama fan here and I'm proud of our team but, hat's off to Kirby Smart and the Dawgs. Awesome coach and team. Alabama and Georgia are two of the strongest teams. Roll Tide!

I know there is alot of back and forth and smack taking, As a BAMA fan, I will admit, 29 straight wins, Back to Back National Titles, 3 straight 12-0 regular seasons! That is a pretty damn impressive accomplishment from UGA. It makes winning the SEC Championship feel extra special. Much respect to the Dawgs!
I have so much respect for Kirby Smart. I miss him at Alabama and I have always wished him well since he left for UGA.

Nope, both have lost on the field of battle. There are 3 Power 5 conference champs who haven't! The SEC is not unbeatable (even though their fans think so). Even last year when UGA was clearly the most dominate team in the country, OSU took them to the last second. Yes, the SAME OSU who lost to Michigan, the same Michigan who lost to TCU, and the same TCU that was totally blown out by UGA. What if games are silly and stupid. You win em' all, you play top-level competition (i.e. Power 5), you should be in.

Georgia fan here... congratulations to Bama for a great win. No excuses from me! Still proud of my Dawgs. Didn't really see much of the "next man up" mentality because Georgia has other players who can make plays on offense. Ladd and Brock had 1 leg trying to do everything. Should have saw a bit more of Lovette, Rosemy, Delp and even Arian Smith.

On any given day, any team playing at that level can win. My dream outcome for this year? As a UGA fan, and fan of the underdog Stetson Bennett, I'd love to see Tate Rodemaker go out and play the two best games of his life and watch FSU roll to the national title. Especially since they've been such a train wreck since the Bowden era. Norvell has done an amazing job there! Not sure how Jimbo ever got a natty there!

Kirby is a good coach, we all know that he learned from the best coach in football period. With that said, they played their heart out and Bama came out on top. I’m a University of Georgia fan. We’re not gonna be ranked in the Top 4 we’re going to the Orange Bowl vs FSU if they don’t make the playoffs or Louisville. We’d boat race either of them. If the committee keeps Bama out someone should go to jail but we’re out. The committee doesn’t have the guts to put us in even though we are one of the four best teams. Well this year is yet another prime example why there should have been an extended playoff system already. But, mark my words. Starting next year, when it does start and the championship games each year start being SEC VS SEC each year, suddenly all the cry babies will start wanting the original top two team championship game back again.
I think the playoffs should be expanded to 8 teams, not 12. Having 12 requires yet another week of games, and there are never more than 5 or 6 teams that have a real shot at winning it anyway.

You cant be a Alabama fan, because Alabama already beat Georgia in the SEC Championship in 2020..and what happened, the committee gave Georgia a second chance by putting them in the CFP after losing.the SEC Championship game to Alabama.
Georgia ended up winning the National Championship in 2021 over Alabama because the committee messed that up.
Last year the committee put TCU in the CFP after losing the Big 12 Championship against Kansas State.
USC was holding on to the 4th spot, but when USC lost to Utah in the PAC 12 Championship, the committee put USC out and Ohio State got the fourth spot. But it was ok for TCU to lose their Championship game and still make the CFP where they were stomped on in the title game by Georgia.
I don't care what the record is..but if a team loses a conference championship game.
They should be out.

Alabama has been ranked 1 for decades without the NIL/Transfer portal. Kirby was a part of that. I don't hate Georgia, they are just not better than Alabama.
Ranking means nothing. Alabama did what they had to do and that beat the 1 ranked team. And Georgia failed to win. How can a committee reward a team to get into the CFP after losing their conference Championship?
Georgia got in after that lost to Alabama in 2020.

SEC should be OUT of the CFP this year if it is done right! So no, not King this year! CFP should be the three UNBEATEN Power 5 Conference Champs, then one of the two Power 5 Conference Champs with one loss. But Texas owns the 1st tiebreaker there, they beat Bama at Bama's house! So, it SHOULD be Michigan, Washington, FSU and Texas. End of discussion. Anything else is a total BS "beauty contest".

As an LSU fan, this was a fantastic game. I really thought UGA wold win, but never count out the GOAT. I think if they played tomorrow, UGA would win. As far as the four best teams out there right now, UGA, Bama, Washington and Texas. UM will get into the CFP and will lose in the first game.

Beck - 21/29, 243 yds, ZERO TD's and a lost fumble. And all week I listened to the "experts" go on and on about how UGA's "D" wasn't as good as last year but they were "better" at the QB position! How's that working out UGA? Compare this game to last year's CFP game against OSU. Stetson Bennett literally refused to lose that game, put the team on his back, and overcame TWO double digit deficits to win that game!
Stetson - nobody knows what you got going on this year with your leave from the NFL, but tonight pretty much cemented your spot as the greatest QB in the entire history of the UGA program! Hope you can come back at the NFL level and prove all the pundits wrong there too! It's like in the movie The Replacements. You gotta have heart, miles and miles of heart. That's what Stetson brought to UGA. Not the 6'4" frame, killer arm strength, 4.2 in the 40, but killer instinct and heart.
SEC does NOT deserve a berth in the CFP this year, period. Washington, Michigan and FSU all ran the table this year. They should ALL be in. It's not a "beauty contest" where some people in a closed room decide who is better than who (and they often get it wrong, last year Michigan was supposed to crush TCU who "didn't belong"). Games are played on the field, and those three teams won all of them. And FSU won their last two games without their superstar QB, and tonight with a 3rd string true freshman who had never started a college game. Could Michigan have beaten Iowa with their 3rd string QB?
So, out of the one loss team's, Texas should be the one. They're 1-0 against Bama and UGA, Bama is 1-1 against Texas and UGA, and UGA is 0-1 against the other two. UGA will play in some other New Years bowl and probably lose as all their players bail early for the NFL and those that are left look at it as a game for losers.
