Even though I have a boat, and a couple canoes, I still do a ton of shore fishing. I think most years my biggest pike are caught from shore, biggest this year is 42". I usually wade and try to cover lots of water, and I've taken to using long steelhead rods or light surf tackle to increase my casting distance. There are some great surf fishing plugs that will cast a mile, pike love em, and they generally cost about the same as a Rapala.
I can totally see that, especially in the Spring with the colder temperatures keeping them comfortable in the shallows. Great observations and sharing of techniques.
Beauty, nice catch
Great catch bro! Love your hoodie.
Thanks Judi. Go Leafs!
Hey hey! Nice one!

A nice pike indeed. Unfortunately, I have to wait till Saturday in my area. Crappie fishing will have to suffice.
Lucky Georgian Bay opens a little earlier. Soon you'll slaying those toothy pike. I hate that the wait for bass season is so long.
Nice catch! Can i ask what's the location. Just sub to your channels
Thank you for the sub. I usually don’t reveal specific locations but anyone familiar with Parry Sound knows this is the salt docks. Cheers.
@@fishingrelaunched4864 thanks bro! I'll check it out soon.
