Whoever said Em’s new shit doesn’t hit is crazy. His whole Music to be Murdered by album is straight 🔥 and his song from the movie called “Venom” is a banger(watch the music video cuz it’s 🔥 too) He just got a lot more lyrical, using double/triple entendres, metaphors, word play and old school references and people today don’t like to think about the music they’re listening to and Em definitely makes you think bc that’s the era he grew up in
His new albums are straight fire. They hit different from the old ones, but they still hit hard. Some people just can’t let go.

People do that with all music. They remember the way they were but every artist grows and evolves. Everybody likes to act like they were there when this artist broke out and then they "sold out"...blahblahblah. Fact is, most artists that people think sold out - it's just the opposite - they actually get MORE freedom to do what they truly want as they get more successful. I'm a metal head and people are constantly talking about how bands like In This Moment, Mastodon, and even oldies like Nine Inch Nails were better back in their first couple albums - and you have every right to like that music better and it is all opinion anyway, but in most cases those artists are doing the music that THEY like more.
100% I hate when people can't appreciate different forms of talent. That's what makes him even more amazing than I thought before... Back in his first three albums. 25 years of nothing but straight fire

He said it in a recent interview I believe from like last year or 2022 where he said he believes that fans say they miss the old him because they miss the rage and loved when he was angry. He doesn't have that rage anymore but his love for hip hop hasn't gone away.

I've been listening to Eminen since the 90's and he is my favorite rapper but I love hip hop & listened to it before I started rocking with Em. Your reactions are authentic & positive. Ignore the hateful & rude comments. You can't rewind time & listen to every Em song, that's not how life works lol. Keep up the great work. people forget that eminem is in his prime and has been since 2018. (You can definitely make an argument for 2010-2015 eminem too.) And whilst I do listen to his older music more and think it sounds better, it's undeniable that his newer stuff is better not only lyrically, but as well as his flow, cadence, etc. He's just gotten better and better.
