Marko, as always, your genuine, honest and interested in sharing valuable information to the public and your followers. Thank you, I wish more content creators would be like you!
Thanks for continuing updates and for keeping us financially Educated! Regardless of how bad it gets on the economy, I'd rather trade the crypto market as it's more profitable than holding. I made a Hundred thousand dollars from trading last year even though I barely trade myself.

A little off topic from FIRE, but I started watching your RUclips channel and similar channels from who I think are actually intelligent people not trying to click bait me. At age 30 I was broke, and today at 38, my net worth of 250k+. Made a lot of FIRE style sacrifices to set that foundation. It takes patience and determination to even get started, but it’s worth it. Thanks to people like Marco, the average person can think smarter and learn practical and useable skills.
Thanks, for me it really came down to two major factors, which is being able to stay focused and doing it for a purpose bigger than just the fact you saved and invested smart.
I would love to hear from real people that have been following Marko and examples of how they incorporated his teachings, I'm 36 and trying to retire as early as possible, I've been working since I was 15, didn't learn about investing til a year ago, my only debt is my mortgage, need advice
I think in your case it comes down to how aggressive on investing you want to be then. Using investing calculators that give probabilities of compound interest over time really are nice to lay out the forecast if you stay the course. I’m not an expert, but I would consider putting most of your money into safer ETFs that gain about 8-10 percent per year and consider making sure your monthly expenses for dumb stuff like subscriptions and things you don’t use are never part of your life to eliminate waste. Also look for cheap and free hobbies for most of your time, and splurge on a nice vacation once per year
What type of accounts should we be putting our money to reach this type of goal? I currently only have money in a Roth IRA and a Savings account. I have a 403b account but I don’t trust my money in there because of the high rates they charge. Any advice as to where else I should park my money to achieve the 7% interest rate of return while I save for coastal fi?
I'm 34 and my coast fire age is in 15 years. But started a business and hoping to drastically improve net worth and income in the next 5-10 years... So who knows! As always, you rock Marko!
My retirement strategy is to plan to be able to retire by 55, but continue working until 70-75 to keep a schedule so I stay active and healthy for longer, you know, have a life worth living. But able to do work that for the most part is what I want to do.
I have a paid off mortgage on my primary home. Projecting to pay off my rental at 34 (I am 32). The rental income will set me at FIRE since I won’t have any other debt. Cheers fellows!
I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my entire life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you Katherine Stewart.
Wow. I'm a bit perplexed seeing her been mentioned here also Didn’t know she has been good to so many people too this is wonderful, I'm in my fifth trade with her and it has been super.
The first video I watched on this channel was from five years ago when you were hoping to have a baby soon, and now you have two little girls ❤ congratulations 😊
That's a nice tool, Marko! Fire in two years...was planning on retirement in 5 (unless I'm not burned out and still enjoying the grind), fat fire in 9! The 270,000 miles on my car have kept down my life style creep! House paid off in 14 months.
Im assuming if your retirement number is under 59 it would have to be a taxable brokerage and not a 401k/IRA retirement account since you cant withdraw from them without penalty?
If you're doing this method, i would think a dividend growth portfolio would be better since you can turn on DRIP and let it snowball without you contributing directly.
Im 35 with a wife and very young kids at home. I just hit $1M net worth before turning 35. At $3M we can retire comfortably at $7M we can retire, leave a legacy and do literally nothing if we want to. My goal is to always be doing something, I don't plan to take my foot off the gas until I decide I don't want the high paying, fun but time intensive job. It's nice knowing we've set ourselves up to have the freedom to do that, and that's all that matters to me.
@@Jack-tk1issure, I'm a technologist. The industry I'm in is high paying but high risk/no pension. For that reason we live well below our means to weather storms and be able to get to a point where I can have a second career in 10-20 years if we want that. We were also lucky in that I was able to barely buy a house in 2012, and learning the power of investing from my parents at a young age. I first bought VTSAX in 2009, and we sold the 2012 house 2 years ago to trade up to the family home.
Wife and I are 36 with a toddler and hit just over 1m this year. We're not high income earners. It's doable. We make sure we got housing and transportation in check, and everything falls into place. Godd job! From Houston tx
I sure wish someone would recommend me a financial advisor to rebalance my asset portfolio 😭 if only someone knew a financial advisor that was a renowned figure in their field.
Great vid. One concern I have is agent parents. I may be coast FIRE and my kids may be set up for school. But I expect I’ll need to support parents as they age and need assisted living. Have you covered anything on financial planning in for aging parents? Expected costs? Etc?
I love the idea of this video but it’s not accurate at all. It says I need 2.6 million in 30 years to have 100k to live off of in 30 years. Well 100k in 30 years won’t even be worth the equivalent of 50k today. So they are off by more than 2x. That’s is insane haha. Why did you endorse this? Another way to explain it is that tool says my fire number for wanting 100k to spend at retirement is the same 2.6M number at 30 as it would be at 60. Showing it didn’t take the future value of money in at all 😂
Holy shoot, I guess I achieved coast fire without even knowing it existed lol I’m 29 with $518k saved currently. I’ll be well over the target $530k by the time I turn 30
I’m coast fire at 32 using the set of assumptions displayed on the first table. Real question is does Marko wear pants making videos? Bro just rocking the dress shirt and boxers? 😂
Great video, only thing I disagree with is estimating the annual spending in retirement too low. Assume you will spend the same if not more in retirement!
I cry every time I think about retiring. I sincerely apologize to everyone who applied for social security at this time after years of hard work and retirement and lost everything as a result of an unforeseen event. It's challenging especially for those who are retired.
True, it has never been easier to learn how to develop your retirement savings than it is now, with inflation, when you may study and experience a completely diverse market passively by hiring a professional portfolio manager. The effects of the US dollar's rise or fall on assets are, in my opinion, complex.
Even if you lack the necessary skills, you can hire one. I was a project manager, and the crash took a significant toll on my own portfolio of around $850,000 from my retirement pension in April. I instantly contacted a financial advisor, who designed a defensive strategy to safeguard and benefit from my assets throughout this red season. I've made more than $250,000 since then.
There are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with Leah Foster Alderman for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look her up.
Thank you for the video Marko! I'm 31, debt free, and have about $30k invested and have about $123k in HYSA because I'm hoping to purchase a home or land within the next year or 2...but if I can hit $150k invested by 38 I'm happy! 🤞🤞🙏
It seems certain stocks are undervalued, flying under the radar despite their potential. You can't help but wonder when the market will recognize their true worth. How can I invest $600K wisely to ensure our future security?
It's frustrating when market inefficiencies persist, particularly with undervalued stocks. Consider consulting an advisor for smarter investing decisions.
My financial advisor has been a game-changer, providing clarity and boosting my confidence in navigating finance. With their help, I've achieved my goals faster than I imagined. Highly recommend!
I wqs reviewing my 401k with former employers and notived that all the mutual funds that are no longer fed do not grow the nunber of shares by reinvesting returns. How is this. All my other investements do (stocks, etfs, mutual not jn 401k) is this a scam by voya?
I wish i had seen this in my 20's, not in my early 40's. But I also wish my 40 year old self would convince my 20-something self why I should put more money into retirement and not say "That's a problem for the future me".. Future me is here and I am over working! I'm 200,000 off my Coast FIRE amount so I'm not likely to hit it anytime soon, but I know that i'm at least in a good position overall
Marko the calculator is misleading… it assumes zero tax liability at retirement. Also the Trinity study tested safe withdrawal rates to see if a portfolio could successfully last 30 years. Your comment about never touching your portfolio’s principle if you use the 4% SWR is not true.
Save money for retirement until you reach your coast fire number. Then “coast” through life doing what you want for work to meet current life expenses. Work less, travel more, buy a corvette, work a job that pays less. Once you reach retirement the money will have grown to your full retirement number.
Thanks for continuing updates but I'd rather trade the stock market and crypto, as it's more profitable. I make an average of 84,500K per week even though I barely trade myself.

I have lost a lot trading all by myself without a guide. It's been an uneasy ride for me. Who is your mentor please.
How can someone know a professional account manager that is trustworthy and legit they are hard to find this days.
Trading without any guide is so risky you need to get a good mentor like Professional Anita Sapp Lee to guide your trades
Building a good investment portfolio is more complex so I would recommend you seek Anita's support's...
