Omg you're a life saver. I've had dust particles for over three years but never had the courage to clean the focussing plate... I was always scared of damaging the camera.. thank you so much.. I really mean it .. thank you so much so very much. I cleaned the focussing plate and replaced it and now I don't have to see thru dust every time I take a picture. Thank you very much for the video. My focus screen is scratched and I took it to camera shop. They said that the screen cannot be cleaned and they did not suggest replacing it. You made it easy for me to do it myself.

Thank you so much I had two big dust particles in there and I just needed to clean it off but I had no idea how to get it out
You're welcome, I hope you get to remove them. Attention, do not clean it with clothes, cotton or other, just use air, like by using the blower/fuc fuc/pumb or compressed air in can like 'dust off xl'. Do not trust in videos that it is possible to clean it with other things, just use air. Good luck

Thanks for this, now my 2 cameras are now sharp 6D and t41 650D!!! At first i have 2 6D bodies and i don't why the oneof my 6d body is still sharp and the one is not sharp in every lens i used, now i searched for blurred focuse and i see this video and apply this to one of my 6D and my 650D now they're all sharp! Now i know😢 thank you for this. 🙏

The metal bracket bent will it still work or do I need to replace the metal bit and if so where can I get a replacement metal bit
Hi, it depends how much you have damaged it. I'd suggest you to put back and see if it will work ok or not. A bent metal can cause a blurred focus points (just view/viewfinder) because if the screen is any mm out of the place causes it. Maybe you can try to fix by using those jewelry pliers with care because a replacement piece will be quite hard to find. Good luck.

How do you check if you can replace the screen on a specific model?. I have a canon 3000d. Will it work for tht?
Hi. The Canon 3000D is also known as T100 and until I know it is possible to replace the same way as shown in this video, but to be honest with you I never had one in my hands to check how it is. Good luck.

This focusing screen is good in to Canon eos 4000D?
Hi there, to be honest with you I don't know this specific model (4000D/T100), but I have heard a couple comments on the web that this model cannot be changed any longer, and other guy mentioned that he had used the model from 600D and it worked, but as you know you can't believe everything you read on the web, so I'd suggest you to do more search on the subject. What about cleaning an old screen?
Well if your has no scratches, just use air on it to try to clean, NEVER touch it with your fingers or even try to clean with clothes, cotton or any other thing that you are going to damage it once it is a fresnel. Do not believe another videos that you can use cotton or so on. Just use a spay in can, air compressed, blower, etc.

Limpa e depois me conta se você entendeu. Rs. Brincadeira Bem Corrido. Deixa eu tentar lhe explicar. Este despolido é fresnel, depois dá uma pesquisada no Google sobre lente fresnel, mas dando um exemplo simples e "bem corrido" seriam centenas de micro dentinhos na peça, então qualquer coisa que você passar vai ficar presa entre eles (micro fio de algodão do cotonete por exemplo) ou riscá-los e aí tchau seu despolido, então nunca se limpa despolido com nada além de ar comprimido. Tem vídeos que dizem dar certo, mas não acredite. Bem, eu não arriscaria, vai ficar só riscaria. Rs. Ah, precisando de um novo despolido depois de tentar limpar se não der certo ou acessórios e equipamento para fotografia, dê uma olhada em Lucato ML no MercadoLivre em: www.lucatoml.com.br São mais de 13 anos no MercadoLivre com reputação 100% positiva. iLucato Compartilhando Conhecimento Ah entendi! Eu sempre limpava com o cotonete do kit o espelho e o Focus screen, mas por fora, sem desmontar, não vou mais fazer.
Na verdade eu cheguei no seu vídeo pq peguei uma 40D pra repasse e ela não está acendendo os pontos de foco. Não sei se o screen está deslocado ou se algo pode estar desconectado.
Realmente o deslocamento pode ser uma das causas, vale a pena dar uma checada se o despolido esta apoiado corretamente na bandeja. Boa sorte e depois conte as novidades. ;0).
