Unsilenced Timor Leste: Stories of survival, hope and Activism

Post-conflict communities often have high rates of domestic violence. In Timor Leste, 33% of women aged 15 to 49 have experienced physical violence at least in their lifetime. The Spotlight Initiative, co-led by UN Women and grassroots organizations, is supporting the government to develop and implement policies to prevent and eliminate gender-based violence.
