That’s how you know how good Daniel Cormier really is, the fact that a killer like fabricio was bragging about scoring a takedown on him really shows his grappling pedigree
If I had to pick one coach to coach me out of all the seasons of UF, Cormier might be the one. He seems very genuine and smart as a coach, maybe the best I’ve seen. I think the issue with Jon Jones was really because Daniel Cormier IS the nice guy and badass fighter that Jon Jones pretended to be for so long. Jones is a great fighter; Cormier is a great fighter and person.
This dynamic is far better than the hostile one, where there competitiveness but civility and a bit of banter personally as a fighter it’s nicer to watch
Super impressed with how DC handled his confrontation with Thailand. He could have easily not cared and let him walk off but he flipped the whole situation into a growth experience for him. Shows a lot of emotional intelligence
One of the best seasons to be on either team would’ve been great . Dc energy with the wrestling, conditioning etc, And Stipe energy , training etc would’ve been great. The pranks was hilarious and the competition between Dc and Stipe alone would get u ready for fight.
