Need to take Afghanistan as an example, play as a team of 11 brothers rooting for each others success. No back biting/groupings We also need players with courage and a fear factor about them. Players who can take risks and not be scared of the result. Majority of Pakistan's problems are due to mental weakness and insecurities. Till that doesn't get fixed, not much will change.
The issue with Babar and Rizwan is not there striking because when they bat together in pair their strike rate is high but when one of them gets out the other has to hold the wicket because whole middle order is useless. This decreased the strike rate and builds pressure on both set and new batsman.
I think another big issue is that Pakistan and PCB has not given enough attention to FC and Test cricket. The best players across all formats will always be made in FC and Test cricket. Tests will bring all types of situations and conditions during each game for both bowlers and batters. Pakistan playes 6-7 Tests per year and instead will have 5 match series for T20s on roads with small pitches and very little pressure. They need to prioritse being a strong Test nation first. It is hard because LOI games have better attendance and generate more money for the board.
