I have been searching for years for some tiny doilies I need to complete my salt/pepper shaker mini angels. Michaels stopped selling them years ago. Then I stumble across this & am gonna grab some thread & make my own. My project was suspended in time it seemed. Now I am jazzed to finally be able to finish!! Can't thank you enough for this easy to follow tutorial!
Thank you so much for making this video! I've tried crochet before and I became so frustrated. After watching this video and playing it back a few times as I do the process, I actually was able to do it! And I got the hang of it really quickly. Thank you!! Can't wait to do more!
Hi Amy, Thank you for the instructions on how to make these cute little doilies. It is so nice of you to take the extra step to have the instructions in written form as well! I've been having fun making some of these! Hugs, Suzan
Thank you sooo very much for this video. I want to make these so bad, and I think I can now.... Your an amazing teacher, thanks for sharing... Hugs from Ohio
Thank you so much for sharing your teeny tiny doily I loved it I made one just like yours and a second one adding other roll by putting 6 single stitch in each hoop so cute
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for making this tutorial. You made it easy, simple to follow and your voice, OMG! Your voice is happy like sunshine and soothing like my mother, makes for an enjoyable learning experience. Thank you again for your hard work and your love of teaching and sharing. Thanks for this tutorial. I really want to learn how to crochet & once I get a hook some thread, I am definitely going to try this. Saved to Favourites.
Hi! First thank you for sharing this! I am new to crocheting and I'm learning from videos. I was wondering if this pattern can be used to make a bigger Doily, if I continue the pattern and with each round add 1 ch to the chains. For example if I wanted to do Round 4 would I "Chain 6, single crochet in the next loop. *Chain 5, single crochet in next loop*, repeat to form 10 loops." And keep going until I get the size I want?
I just made my first doily!!! Your tutorial was easy to follow, however my doily just does not look as good as yours but not bad for first one :-) I have been crocheting since I was in second grade (taught myself by watching my grandma) but I never could follow a pattern as I learn better by watching. I am going to keep making them till I master it. TFS!! BJL :-)
oooh, I'm sorry. I'm actually left handed too, but I crochet with my right hand. I don't know why, I guess thats just how I learned. lol. I don't think I could even do it left handed. :(
I used kirtzy aluminum crochet hooks but yarn doesn`t slide well,, , the one your using looks to be smoother looking, is it available to purchase? Or do you have the brand name?
Thanks for this tutorial! I've been wanting to try this myself and your video was perfect...took me an hour to make one, but I'm going to keep practicing! Tfs, Stephanie
Hi Amy. Thank you so much for the video on mini doilies. I understand everything but I must be an idiot because I'm not sure where to slip stitch at the end of every round. I got the rest but having trouble knowing where to slip stitch or finish each round. Lol must be old age. If you can help I would appreciate it. This is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks again. Many hugs, Mary
Hi Mary! Sorry for the delay! It is a bit tricky. You would slip stitch into the first stitch you made, in the previous round. But really, it's not life or death. Just slip stitch in the place that looks good enough. I do that all the time! lol
hi there, thnx for this pattern im going to use it to make earrings and necklace by adding together, ill upload a pic when im finished, although ur video is just a little bit blurry and makes it harder to see
This is brilliant. I've been searching YT for ages, for a simple doily video, and this is it. :-) I'm going to make a few, but what if I want larger? I've got the idea that I'd love to make a table runner from different sized doilies, all sewn together. Do you have any other patterns for doilies? Not too difficult as I'm still relatively new to crochet. Thank you so much for your easy to follow and understand tutorials. Kind regards, Laura in England. Xxx
Laura Filby Laura, I love your idea! You could keep doing more rounds of the last round, for this particular doily, to make it larger. Also, seach "free easy crochet doily patterns" as there are loads out there! xoxo
hello came over from creativeyoungmama's channel. I loved the crocheted piece she made. she said she learn from you. so I had to sub and make some too:) thank you for the tutorial!
awwww, bummer. I will say it took me about 6 painful, frustrating weeks of pure dumb stubbornness to finally get the hang of crochet. It is not at all easy to learn, but once you really get it, it just flows. It was like something just clicked one day, and I was off and running! :) xoxo
I'm looking to make small little doilies for my Singer Featherweight machine. You put them on the thread spool holder! Just as a decoration. People actually sell these!
Love this so easy to watch, but i am just hopeless but thanks for video, oh and i sub just in case i ever do one i will come back and show you, lol love dede xxx
i think i got as far as a single line and just kept going one long chain, and that was it for me, as i just got tangled up, and never could remember the pattern, but love your stuff, thanks for sharing, love dede xxx
fatally0urs Hello, I know this is a few years ago but I just learned this last night and the same thing happened. What I'd done was, instead of doing 9 DCs into that first chain like she described, I closed the loop and DCd into the circle because that's what I'm used to doing. You can do it that way, but after you close the loop, chain 3 then 9 DCs. Chain 3 is your first DC. In her instructions, the chain 4 counts as 1 DC + the 1st chain stitch. Hope this helps 😊

I'm looking to make small little doilies for my Singer Featherweight machine. You put them on the thread spool holder! Just as a decoration. People actually sell these!
That's crazy, but I guess people will pay to buy pretty things. Good luck with it!😊

fatally0urs I'm not sure... sorry!

Hi,
love your videos can you do a video on how to crochet a beanie or hat.
thank you.
I made my first doily but it came out a little messy
how can i made it bigger ??
sofiaforero1185 you could continue the last round over and over till its the size you want :)
I used 2.0, and it comes out so small and couldnt see the pattern clearly :(
