2:05 If your pets are fighting and attacking each other, don't film it and seperate them, jfc. The chin was lucky that the cat seemed scared and ran away instead of attacking back. Aside from that, unless they've been together since a relatively young age and are used to each other, don't put them together.
Haggis Wrangler yes I meant should not. Sorry for the typo. As a chinchilla lover these clips annoyed me. Some of the cages are really not suitable and interactions with cats, dogs or other animals is a big no no.
First of all yes you can choose are cute because not as happened like do you not have them in a plastic glass like cage and also you can’t have them around cat you can’t do anything with him that’s just all just being mean to them this is not right most people should not have to chinchillas
You need to really consider it, they live long, sometimes up to 30 years, you will have to clean daily (they poop A LOT), they have very strict diet requirments (I have to ship my food from other country), a lot of things they ate in this video they shouldn't, like the fruits, because they can't process sugar. They also have to be kept in cold, in this video I saw someone temperature being 25 celsius, it should be 23 max because they can have seizures from heat. They also mostly sleep during day time and are active at night. If you have male chinchilla you will have to do ring checks (meaning you will have to check under their foreskin for hair) so they don't get it tangled and die. They bite EVERYTHING, so you will have an area for them to explore that will not have any plants or cords (chinchilla proof room). Then you will need to have exotic vet around you (regular vets are not qualified, they are exotic pets) and some common health issues can be really costly. On top of all that they are not cuddly at all, some might allow to be touched, but others will never allow it. In this video it appears that you can just hold them and pet them, but that's like 5% of the time and if they are sleepy. Unlike cats and dogs they do not like to be touched, because they are prey animals.
Ohh yeah just usual bad owners, scaring poor little guys with stupid cats, putting them in fucking clothes and Terrarium in 1:19 literally breaks my heart:(
Many of these videos aren't cute. First, why would you keep your chinchilla in the same space as a cat? The cat could easily kill them-- cats are hunters! Also, 5:30 of chinchillas being forced to cuddle aren't cute and they are very scared which is why they escaped and left. Why would these tik tokers call that cute the chinchilla obviously ran away for safety and it isn't funny. and in 8:35 the chinchilla is obviously stuck with a wire ring thing on his jaw and what? why is this cute?
I have cats but also want a chinchilla, would it be ok if I either dedicate a whole room to my chinchilla, or keep my cats in my bedroom when i want to take my chinchilla out? i want to keep them seperate so my chinchilla would feel calm and safe and so my cats don't get bit or peed on by the chinchilla
@@charlydalrymple4940 I personally would think you should keep the cats outside the room if your chinchilla is out for playtime, as you can't really control what the cats do. It's not required to dedicate a whole room for your chinchilla but you would have to chin-proof things in a room (eg bedroom where I put my chinchilla in) by having wire protectors etc to avoid them breaking your valuables (and those things hurting them). Good luck with getting your chinchilla!
This is not how to own a chinchilla. For most of them. First of all I see a glass cage? That’ll overheat them. Don’t give them chips or other people food. No hamsters and chinnies in same bath either
I advice you to consider cat/ dog or when it comes to rodents a hamster or a rat. Chinchillas are really not beginner friendly animals, they can cost a lot of money to just meet their basic needs, vet visits, they aren't that playful or cuddly, most of them don't like to be touched, they also can live more than 20 years and considering that you are in school you will have to take them with you to college or whenever.
@@sinnedpurge8798 also it's best if you get them in pairs. They get very lonely when they don't have a buddy. They're wonderful pets to have but as the person above said, they don't really like being handled all that much. They're super sweet and aren't aggressive when they are but it can stress them out very easily. Mine liked to sit on my shoulders and run around. They do this super cute little run-jump called popcorning.
@@Koooles they are really friendly animals dude and a hamster longs only 1,5-2 years and they like to be touched. I don't now from where you get the information bro. And maybe what you say is because you habe buy one from a shop with too much yers because if you buy one with 3 months and educate him well to be nice with you your chinchilla will be great
Omg the cat scratched the poor chinchilla how mean the owner should put the chin in its cage and let it out when the cat wasnt around.

Totally true
I believe they were just having fun.....
0:29 DO NOT PUT THESE INNOCENT RODENTS IN THE SAME DUST BOWL!!!
Chinchillas have strict diet, they can’t have chips!! I find this video very alarming, they don’t know how to handle these poor chins😭😭😭
It kind of looks like dried banana, don't you think? I mean, it looks too thick to be a chip but idk
@@Cra2ycat8077it does! a treat once in a while wont kill it pls chill 💀🖐
Chinchillas aren’t supposed to have any fruit so if it is dried banana, then it’s still bad for the chin
Turns Out I Didn’t Get A Chinchilla But I Got A Mini Corgi :3

Im pretty sure they're stuck in a hole in their glass cage, since the water dispenser can't float

Why do people dress up their animals like people, when it's clear the animals don't enjoy it?
Don't know why people put cat and chinchilla together. Just dumb
