Mate I’ve recently joined your Patreon and little by little I’m definitely getting better…. One of the most underrated things your teach is to not panic… which again does make a big difference…. If I go a goal down I just try n treat it as if it’s still 0-0 and getting the next goal is the target …. Class uploads 👍
I am doing all right from your tutorial but when i am 1v1 with my defender i can't get the ball from opponent.
I was 13/14 wins player in previous fifa. This WL i ended 4-16. Every opponet was press so much, sobrero, green finishing, scheme. I was no chance

ok get to the real stuff Neal.
1. Why is my 98 mbappe trialblazer and 97 paced smith getting out paced by 82 paced defenders when I have a head start of like 2 inches on the screen?
2. Why are some players able to press some sort of button that makes it so when I tackle they retain the ball or it deflects weird to their other team members?
3. Why is it people are able to pass and turn so well but even when I use r1 dribbling my most agile players move like a fucking barge?
4. Why are other players keeper INSANE but mine struggles to save weak footed shots (I have alison toty)
5. I packed 94 fut birthday Gullit, and whilst he is good, I don't seem to be able to use him well.
6. is the game play 21/03/24 absolutely mad for anyone else? It's like i'm playing pros in league 4 tonight. 16 games won 4, is it a thursday thing?
7. has last minute goals come back? I concede every match last minute sometimes 2 minutes over the overtime like the game would go on forever until they score.
I'm getting worn out by this shit. I get 50-52 point in weekend league week in week out, I usually end up in division 2 on rivals but its like the last day of the season I get there. It all seems too contrived, too "scripted" almost as if theres like a mass conspiracy of sandbaggers that get together and be like ok lets ruin league 4 because i'm telling you these are NOT league 4 players i'm playing tonight. My team is mad, but these guys are making me look like shite and i know i'm not.
If you can answer me these questions I may sign up to your academy. I'm sick of this shit though. the game just feels so fucked
Ill be honest, the academy wont be for you if you dont trust the process, so dont sign up would be my advice, you have to be willing to listen and follow
try to be quick replying to this
1. never happends unless angles are at play see the video on pace
2. no button, sometimes game bad rebounds are a thing both sides you notice it more against you that you favour
3. R1 dribbling is garbage, dont over rely on it, left stick with high agility/balance iks all you need and you will move quick
4. all gk are trash but amazing in 1v1 when they come out, IF you bring them out
5. A skill issue from your end

as I said , tbh the school wont be for you, I would suggest not joining it as you need to trust the process, and ignore 99% of the community which imo dont even know what they are talking about and dont speak facts, I would say grasp some more concepts on my channel and then after a while join, but at this moment you shouldnt given as you are not trusting or learning how to resolve these issues with my vids on yt

As a newcomer to FIFA, I have to confess that I'm facing MASSIVE skill issues. I've been putting in effort over the past few months, watching multiple guides and trying to cover as much ground as possible by studying tactics, formations, and different playstyles. I have learned anything I could about keeping defensive line intact, being patient while attacking, and so on. My main issue concerns the pressing. I am nowhere near the first division, yet the opponents press me relentlessly, leaving me with barely 0.5 seconds to react at times, which is extremely frustrating. I would argue and also support your statement that this game isn't solely about custom tactics and skilled players. A perfect example being myself where I do have a wonderful team but lack the general knowledge of the game, which will inevitably become apparent over time. I often find that my passes are being cut short or intercepted, and although my defending is sometimes decent, I struggle to create chances or to develop an effective attack.
Therefore, I have a few questions to ask, and I'm open to any kind of advice:
Should I stick with Advanced Defending or switch to Tactical Defending until I become more confident and gain more experience with the basics?
How can I improve receiving the ball? Should I press or hold R1/L1 or R2/L2? (I've noticed other players receive the ball with precision, whereas my passes feel slow and are easily intercepted).
Should I get used to timed finishing? (I gave it a try, but I felt uncertain about certain connections in the games, so I turned it off. I often found myself already under too much pressure, leaving me with less time to time it properly).
For anyone who had the time and patience to read through my entire message, I want to express a huge thank you. You're a legend.

Trust me brother learn time finishing, took my a while to use it but I’ve used if since fifa 22 and it’s so good score so much more. When receiving the ball make sure you are not sprinting, then when you need to make a pass that could get intercepted use rb/r1 to make the ball travel faster
I’m super late but definitely watch pro players gameplay and ask yourself , do I do this? Try to implement your play style with there’s as well , Johnsims has a lot of good content concerning all your questions

This is my issue with this game I make a pass and my opponent ai is already sat on my other players but when my opponent is on the attack my ai are standing 5000000 yard of there man

See my video under controller/game settings, but only used advanced if you are elite+, imho that is if your positioning and etc is perfect already, AI in tactical is more benefifical
