QUICK GUIDE INSTRUCTIONS:
PREPARATION
Prepare the surface for Cabinet & Furniture Top Coat (optional step). If needed, lightly hand sand the previous coat of Primer using 220 grit sandpaper or a maroon or green Scotch-Brite pad. Ensure the Paint Color is dry before sanding and wipe away dust with a cloth. This will eliminate imperfections or contaminants from the previous step. If the surface is smooth, you can skip sanding the primer before applying the Base Paint.
APPLICATION
Methods of Application: Brush, Roller, or Paint Sprayer.
Sir thoroughly before use with a paint stick. Apply 1-2 uniform coats of Cabinet & Furniture Paint in your color choice as needed for coverage. Allow the first coat to fully dry 2-3 hours before the second coat if needed. Lightly hand sand the previous coat using 220 grit sandpaper or a maroon Scotch-Brite pad to eliminate imperfections or contaminates.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
For applying paint color to routed or 3D details of a cabinet door or the intricate perimeter of a cabinet drawer, and the sharp corners of the face frame, utilize an angled nylon paint brush. Keep from overloading the fine details with paint. See our tutorial on our RUclips channel for detailed video instruction. You Got This!
Use a ⅛’’ Nap Microfiber roller to apply Paint Color to the flat sections of the cabinet doors, drawers, and face frames. Use your roller length of choice, 4’’, 6’’ or 9’’
CLEAN UP
Remove all paint splatters and drips.. Wash all brushes, rollers, and equipment immediately with warm water, use dish soap if desired.

Hey Mitch,
What color was used here? Will it be possible to order swatch samples? Thanks for another great vid!
Hey Mitch, can you just come paint my cabinets for me? 😂
Great job Mitch! Cabinet paints is the logical addition to the Stone Coat lineup and I trust its quality.
yes it was a natural move for us! It's been years in the making so we're very excited to bring this to the table
I am glad a new product came out for cabinets. Not just Rustoleum any more! When I get a new place, I'm going to do this same process. Even go to Portland to learn the process!😊😊😊
One amateur trick is to put the hardware in seperate zip lock baggies then label them so you know where they go.
Stome coat counter tops.
I get the durability on doors and such. My question is, how does it stand up to knives, hot pots and such for counter tops, islands and table tops?
I am interested in re doing my kitchen but would the counter tops be more durable and lasting to use real granite, marble etc
Thanks, I really am learning a lot. Look forward to my first project
I just finished all my cabinets at 72
Patience a must
85% prep nice video
I use a large exercise ball to sit on doing lower cabs love it so comfy laughing at myself live alone yea

Hola 👋 I was just wondering if you have a video on the new cabinet paint product and I scrolled down and bam!!! There’s the video 👀😳😃😜now I’m going to have to watch it again on the Tv in HD I want to see the details and have a better view of the finish…Y’all have a great weekend!!!👋😃👋
As a retired Painter/home remodeler guy there's a few technique tips I could chime in with, but I understand this is directed at DIY'ers, so I won't. Love your epoxy products. Did my 1st time epoxy coating on my own newly remolded kitchen and it came out beautiful. My only slight disappointment were the colors choices I made while mixing some containers up were too dominant. Next time I know. Keep these vids coming. Thx
As a retired painter/remodler myself....I know what you're talking about. But I won't say anything either 🤪
I'm assuming that with laminate cupboards that are already delaminating, it would be best to just get new doors? Those look really nice!! 👍 They fit well with Rhonda's country vibe!! 👏👏
The laminated doors and drawer fronts actually come apart fairly easily. I had one that was cracked so I took it down and the entire laminated part peeled right off when I pulled on it. The rest that weren't starting to separate took me a bit to figure a trick. Eventually, I used my heat gun and they all peeled off easily. Painting was easy once the laminate was removed.
Not painting over electrical outlets was a hot discussion that needed to be worked out before my then girlfriend became my now wife. She came around. 😄😉
How well does it hold up and stick against stained cabinets? Is it the same process as you’d do over painted cabinets?
😮i liked the blue before
Great job, thanks for sharing. Full View and Like..
Great Work🥂 ? What to do if cabinet surface is made of wood chips & some surfaces are not smooth or a bit chewed up. Can i use wood fill or spakle to fill chewed up surface from water damage? Thanks appreciate your energy & knowledge.
Hey Mitch, you said this paint self-levels and won't leave brush marks. What about vertical surfaces?
I just finished applying your countertop epoxy to my kitchen counters and plan to paint the cabinets next.
Hey MITCH

Does it work with laminate cabinets?
Like the color did you sand the cabinets after first coat of paint?
Is there a color chart for the paint colors? I'm not seeing one on the site.
If my shelf/cabinets need sanded and redone inside them what do you suggest? Use the same paint? Contact paper? Some sort of liner?
Hey Mitch. What shall I do if I have a backslash that is apart of my countertop that has a rounded top. Puzzled if it will fall down on it??? Help. Thanks. Debra S. Surprise, Arizona
Wow!!!!
Mitch, we bought a house with linoleum countertops. The countertop and backsplash are all one piece and continues up the wall to the bottom of cabinets. So its one big piece to handle without having to rip out linoleum repair sheeyrocj, etc. Trying to jeep it sumple
I have the same issue. I think I'll just run a tape line for the countertops, then I plan to tile the backsplash.
@ibrockinrobin67 great idea. What we thought about doing was placing butcher block on top of the existing formica staining the edges and then using a faux stone as the back splash. It's a porous stone so we'd have to figure out how to seal it. Perhaps using the wall method as a plaster and adhering the pieces to that to make sure there's no water penetration. Also, the butcjer block will raise the height of the countertop.
Hey Mitch, What about how good it works over "Golden Oak" with the grain showing though? Also the pin holes?
He mentioned that ...use the primer. It self levels and keeps the grain from showing theougg.
What colors do you offer
to paint the cabinets
www.stonecoatcountertops.com/cabinet-and-furniture-paint-32oz/
Porcelain Moon
Desert Daybreak
Midnight Cyprus
Indigo Twilight
Nocturnal Slate
Evening Ink
I'm thinking I want the nocturnal slate, BUT I've been trying to match my gray tile for a while and haven't found a good gray match that I like. Will it be possible to order sample swatches of the colors?
When I want to see it I will look for it otherwise please stop!
Hello Folks, does your Epoxy cure at low temperatures please ?? I tried a cheapo epoxy kit and it melted the Polystyrene. It was just a 10ml epoxy glue kit....... £1.99
What if your wood cabinets haven't been painted before?
The system is designed for that application also. Our primer will block wood tannins from ghosting though the paint down the road. Two thin coats is all that is needed.
Micht how much for the kit
