    Beautiful. I lived in Guanajuato for about 4 months a few years ago, and it truly is a magical place. Your video captured a lot of its beauty and charm. I took Spanish lessons at Escuela Mexicana. The food is spectacular and the views and gorgeous alleyways are not to be missed.

    To start off our 1 month trek through Mexico we landed in Leon from the US, and our first couple days were spent in Guanajuato. It was stunningly beautiful. We stayed at Hostel Casa de Dante. It had a beautiful view of the city from there, and the in house chef was absolutely delightful! The 180 steps to the hostel might be off putting to some, but it was perfect for us! Plus it was a lovely hike to EL Cerro De La Bufa was not far with a great view of the area! We almost don't want to spread the word, because it was so untouched. We journeyed to San Miguel after, and although it was well preserved, we soon realized it was over run with wealthy Americans. We quickly left, and ran to Oaxaca!

      Question to Mysticcycles - Was SMA over run with wealthy Americans spending their money as Tourists in SMA? Isn't that good for tourism/business? Were the wealthy Americans you observed residents of SMA? How could you tell the difference when You say you left quickly and ran to Oaxaca. WHY? Do you dislike wealthy Americans in Mexico whether they be tourists or residents? In my hometown in central CA. there used to be 80% white and 20% Mexican in high school. 40 years later there is 80% Mexican and 20% white. Many were, and still are subsidized financially by the American taxpayer including those illegally flooding our borders and wanting free things courtesy of the American taxpayer. Our local hospital just went out of business. Why? It was forced to take south of the border patients who could NOT pay for their hospital services. Unwed pregnant mothers come illegally, birth their children and get the taxpayer to pay for them. In MX, the gringo pays their way! BTW - it appears there are different price levels for food, fun and hotels, from cheap to expensive. Something for everybody to enjoy!

      Hello Ralph 🙂 I didn’t pay for this room btw 😅 but yes I agree with you. I should’ve recommend other cheaper options in the city. I will do that next time. Sorry about that. I think the rate in the hotel was too high because of the “Festival de las Flores”. But in low season it can be half the price. You can also search for short term rental apartments 😉

    Question to Mysticcycles (below) - Was SMA over run with wealthy Americans spending their money as Tourists in SMA? Isn't that good for tourism/business in MX? Or, were the wealthy Americans you observed residents of SMA? How could you tell the difference when You say you left SMA quickly and ran to Oaxaca. WHY? Do you dislike Americans in Mexico whether they be tourists or residents? In my hometown in central CA. there used to be 80% white and 20% Mexican in my high school. 40 years later there is 80% Mexican and 20% white. Many who came were, and still are subsidized financially by the American taxpayer including those currently, illegally flooding our borders and wanting free things courtesy of the American taxpayer. And, BTW - For every budget, there are different price levels for food, fun and hotels, from cheap to expensive. Something for everybody to enjoy! If the morals or manners of the American in MX are inappropriate and disrespectful, that's one thing,.... if not, I'm not quite sure what your problem is? Please be more specific?

    • @frescoservice5124
      @frescoservice5124 10 месяцев назад

      Mexicans are not flooding the borders those are from central and South America more Mexicans are moving to Mexico then they are going to USA because Mexico economy crashed in the 90s due to NAFTA but now its way better and the Mexican peso is stronger than the American dollar and Mexican immigrants the 20 percent that are still in USA pay taxes but don’t receive any benefits the government profits billions from that and for a little over 15 years many white Americans have been going to Mexico for dental and medical services because it’s very expensive in USA because US schools are expensive but in Mexico the government pays for medical school and Mexican undocumented immigrants work way harder than anyone in USA filling up the jobs nobody wants they actually created jobs now that they work force is available look at Florida the immigrants left and many businesses in agriculture and construction closed and in Florida the neighborhoods that were predominantly immigrants had very low crime rate but now that they left low class whites moved in and crime skyrocketed and for kicking out the Mexicans central and southern Americans are replacing them and they are have a low work ethic and less educated less criminals the government knows that but they are making it up lies about Mexicans because republicans found out that when people have a fear of their country in jeopardy due to immigrants people tend to switch to republican so republican politicians are constantly making it seem as if illegal immigrates are the problem but its not true in my opinion people don’t question if it’s true or not because racism white people have been taught through generations and generations that white people are superior and I might look that why but it’s an illusion the reason why USA became super rich was because of USA has the largest and best farmland in the world by far no other countries even compares on top of that the Mississippi River interconnects with the major cities and meets the the coast that’s protected by a thin island from Brownsville to New York makes USA the largest and best coast for ports and global trade vs Mexico has only 1 port and the rest of Mexico’s coast is surrounded by mountains no rivers No good farmland makes Mexico very poor geography for global trade one of the worst geography in the world thanks to USA stealing Texas and California 2 very rich in oil and great soil for farming that’s why Mexico has had a late start to becoming a well developed nation and on top of that spain extracted many resources from Latin America and from Yucatán to South America its a thick jungle very complicated to navigate or build roads that’s why many roads are not paved to expensive to build and maintain but today roads trains and airports are complete so ports are built so global trade is possible now now Mexico is the 13 largest economy in the world 11 place for most purchasing power things are changing for the best for Mexico and USA constantly makes Mexico seem like its a 3 world with cartels everywhere and very dangerous but it’s not true yes there is cartels but they are isolated only in certain areas most Cities are extremely safe example Merida is rated for second safest city is all the Americas second to Quebec and there’s many more even in hot spots for cartels they don’t target innocent civilians or tourists vastly of victims are rival cartels in my hometown Matamoros supposedly it’s very dangerous cartel land but it’s not true every one knows if you are mot involved you don’t have anything to worry about getting killed by mistake identify or being caught by crossfire is very rare you have a higher chance of dying in a car wreck I only seen the cartel de golfo 2 times and they were giving money to small business all the kidnappings and violence towards innocent people were from los zetas they lacked business knowledge to traffic drugs so they turn to targeting the innocent but that’s not profitable compared to trafficking drugs so other cartels teamed up to get rid of the zetas now its back to normal but cartels would never exist if Mexico had a better geography better soil for agriculture better port’s better rivers for global trade the mountains is what made Mexico under developed but it’s becoming a developed country it’s considered upper middle class country and Mexico recently discovered lots of lithium in the mountains and Mexico had lots of experience with mining because Mexico is the world largest provider of silver with Mexico being 70 percent mountainous with newly discovered lithium Mexico will soon become a superpower their military has been growing mexico has everything checked off to become a powerhouse I can keep going but I’m already making this too long 😂 as for Americans moving to Mexico it’s damaging the Mexican economy because things are becoming more expensive causing the lower class to move out some Mexicans feel like USA stole their land and now they are taking more land away is what I’m hearing but don’t quote me on that I’m not too sure but I can look into it for me personally I don’t like turning down people who need help no matter what history their government has done every single person is an individual they had nothing to do with their government choices in the past and not every white person is racist many are I know because I have white family members thru marriage and they tell me that most white people are racist but I would never let them define their whole entire race. I hope this helps 😊 you answers your questions 😎
