We happily sail in interior cabins - so B2B Alaska cruises from Vancouver cost me a bit less than one week in a veranda. Sailed Navigator last January and will repeat this next year - easy sail and again B2B in interior was great cruise and budget friendly. Love your reminder of TA or repositioning cruises - we find deals that are less than premium economy seats on planes and starts our European travel with a relaxing sail.
So happy you mentioned Navigator of the Seas! We've been on NCL and Carnival lots, but booked a 3 day cruise on Navigator in early November, to see how we like RC. So excited to explore the ship!
Celebrity reflection has some smoking deals this September for for short 3 and 4 night sailings with killer prices for balconies and not just inside cabins. $274 PP including port fees and taxes for sep 16-20 sailing on Expedia. Can’t beat that.
I booked an Alaska sailing with HAL's standby program and ultimately didn't get to go as there were no rooms available. On the upside, even though the FAQs state that refunds are processed in 4-6 weeks, I got my refund in 7 days.
Once I retire, I’m going to sign up for their standby programs. I’m close to the San Diego port. I would also consider it if I’m in Florida for another Cruise could do it afterwards potentially.
Several things to note about guaranteed cabins. Those are the ones that have been canceled or needed rebooked for a different date in the last year or so. Also on several occasions I have seen higher priced for a guaranteed catagory over booking a select your own cabin in the same catagory.
$99pp/day for Inside or Oceanview and $129pp/day for Balcony. There's also an upside for traveling as a Single, because it's just $49 for Inside or Oceanview and $79 for a Verandah. Quite a deal for singles. I tried this program for an Alaska cruise that departed last Saturday. DIdn't make it on, and the stress was brutal, especially since they told us we wouldn't know until THE DAY BEFORE and by that point, we couldn't add the beverage program if we did get on. Lots of flaws with the program, but a great cruise price if it works out.
Disney transatlantic 14 days to Spain $300 a day and we got it for 179 guarantee room. Sadly as 5 hr flight to most cruise ports 3&4 days out as flight more than cruise
Sorry, but the reposition or travelling in an inside cabin is no news to us. I fact, we have done more than 65 cruises on different lines and a lot of them were repositioning, some b2b and believe it or not - very in an inside cabin! We are newly retired and love to cruise, but do not have a goose that lays golden eggs! We were eben able to find out about the good prices by our own research, imagine that. 😉
We have a number of different type of people that watch our channel (some brand new to cruising). We’re glad to hear you often deal hunt and find great options!
I, for one, appreciate this information. It may not be new to you, but to a lot of the viewers, it is. Me for one. One piece of advice I would give to every traveler is to use a travel agent! They have contacts that can help you in almost any situation.
Meanwhile you can barely found repositioning cruises from/to Hawaii/French-Polynesia/Australia, as major cruise lines made cut downs of itineraries in Australia, bc port fees in Australia have been increased to an extremely high level.
@@dlgregory35So sad about P&O Cruises Australia. They will shut down in March 2025 after nearly a century of cruising. P&O Cruises Australia, which belongs to Carnival Corporation & plc, will be integrated into Carnival Cruises in March 2025. All cruises to sail after 2 March 2025 under P&O Cruises Australia brand will be cancelled. Pacific Encounter and Pacific Adventure will then sail under Carnival Cruise Line while Pacific Explorer will exit the fleet. Hopefully prices will stay at reasonable level.
@@monikaliebold4225 Yes, P&O Australia prices have always been at a affordable level completely agree eben with others talking about high port fees in Australia. So they have done well there, but when Carnival took overr P&O, Princess, Cunard etc things went downhill very fast. P&O was alwasys a top shipping line and yes they have been coming to Australia for many years but P&O Australia and their office have only been established since I think about 2002 or so I am not quite sure of the date.but after the year 2000. Peronally would never go on one of their ships again done Pacific Adventurer and that was more than enough never again. Wish we had Fred Olsen down under, older ships feel like being at home, not overcrowded good food well looked after just completely comfortable. Wonderful value for the money cruise line.
Most of the time, yes, but there are certain times when the single supplement is not significant. They were able to book me a 15 day from Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro on Celebrity in a balcony with a drink package for under $100 per day.
I'm experienced solo traveller. I prefer Norwegian Cruise Line. They are pioneer in solo cruising and have solo cabins in each category and have great deals for solo travellers.
Guaranteed cabins are not bad depending on the specific ship and her layout of certain cabin types. For instance, on Royal Caribbean's Anthem of the Seas, I went for guaranteed junior suite which are only located in mid section of the ship on certain decks well below pool deck. It didn't matter which room I got at that point but was still cheaper (not $99/day though).
This is already known why repeat it are you that hard up you need revenue from advertisements>? What about your living on a cruise ship nothing to say about that?
I do find great deals for cruising, but for me, the flight to many cruise ports is much more than the cruise itself.
Your prior videos have convinced me to try margaritaville at sea
We think the Islander is worth a try! As long as expectations match the budget cruise line experience, it’s worth a t try!

Great tips! 100% agree with all, including the bonus one!

Enjoy! 🥳
Once I retire, I will be signing up for Holland‘s standby program. In addition I will be looking at some repositioning cruises. Those look great!

NO GUARANTEE CABIN RESERVATIONS FOR US- GREAT VIDEO AS ALWAYS!
I'm going on Margaritaville at Sea in late August and can't wait 🎉
Enjoy!! 🥳
Great tips Jordan, say hi to Jared for me.
Thanks! Jared says hi 👋🏽
Samte tip have been around for many years many others saying the same thing get real use your own brain.

I want to travel solo for three to four weeks without a huge flight expense. Repositioning to Europe is great except for the flight home.
Reposition from New England to Caribbean as these can be 2-3 weeks. 😉
Like the new intro, great job!
Thanks!! 🥰

Great. Video- we found an increase of port fees and taxes
Thanks for the tips 🤗
Connecnting room was horrid, and it was our friend that we connected to LOL I can't imagine if it was strangers.
Thanks Jordan 👍
You bet!
Disney transatlantic 14 days to Spain $300 a day and we got it for 179 guarantee room. Sadly as 5 hr flight to most cruise ports 3&4 days out as flight more than cruise
Only done guarantee rooms and all have been good on Disney ships
Nice job.

Can anyone tell me if inside connecting room 11178 on celebrity beyond is bad? Thanks

not that high P&O Australia while still operating have very low cruise prices and they do not include gratuities so still cheap.

Great video and Jordan you found me a fantastic repositioning in 2025 from Lisbon to Rio de Janeiro on celebrity.
Thank you so much!
Traveling solo so it’s really expensive.

Lately guaranteed cabins have left cruisers with no cabin!
That is a weird risk we saw the last year as well 😅

Hi there, the last video we posted before this one was on that topic, we’d encourage you to check that out! 😀
Keep up
Thank you this is helpful information
