- During the covid pandemic (2 1/2 years) I was in a province in the Philippines. While there we built over 25 C.R's (toilets) and built and repaired many homes and distributed food and other essential items thanks to this youtube channel and the subscribers. By the grace of god my wife received a kidney from our daughter on the 27th of March. Fortunately she did not have diabetes like Norman. In his case he would need a pancreas/kidney transplant. That can only come from a deceased donor. Even getting listed as a transplant eligible is a extensive process. I don’t know all the procedures in the Philippines but im quite sure it is cumbersome. Fortunately Norman was able to get his dialysis started. Making him comfortable is likely the best thing for him. My wifes sister has the same hereditary condition that she had so she started dialysis in April. I wish nothing but the best for Norman being my wifes caregiver I know the struggle. Prayers are sent Norman.

I hope families learn to help each other first at the very least uses the services available to figure out what could be done. Anyhow, hope all goes well. My father was on dialysis as well and I hope I wont be in the future

The massive risk of diabetes in Philippines is because of all the condensed milk they consume!! Nestle did the same to Fiji, Solomon Islands, PNG, as far as I know most of South East Asia, it's been a topic in Australia since the 70's many organizations trying to raise awareness and Australians have boycotted Nestle over it many times!.. It falls on deaf ears!
Wow anybody that complains about you have. Look how some of the poor people live. What a beautiful country and beautiful people gosh there is severe poverty. God bleed Dustin and Reche even with a little baby still trying to help others.

Yes Diabetes can affect your organs and dialysis keeps him alive, but it isn't forever unfortunately, depending on their health and age can last up to 20 years but some patients only 5 or 10years. A kidney transplant is the only solution to live if successful. That wheelchair will make so much difference, he can leave the house now. Thank you to the people who donated, his smile got even bigger, what a nice family.

The wells are recharged by now with heavy rains,
I'm guessing he had type 2 diabetes, poor nutrition is a huge cause of metabolic syndrome and blood sugar issues because we need all of the minerals and B vitamins we can get from variety of foods. When there's poverty and just eating the same food over and over such as white rice, that's how you become deficient in so many vitamins and minerals.

On this episode of the Philippines: Dustin met a guy name Norman :( and he told us about his story about his life :( (Oh dear send him my regards :P) Then he went along with his companions :P to purchase a walker or a chair :P At first Dustin was thinking about getting on the bike but then meanwhile He noticed there was rain today :P So good thing he didn't :P Then after when they got back Norman was happy with his package but otherwise they had a good day :P (Say hi to Reche for me :P)

It's so sad that this man is suffering. Did you consider sending in maids because you always hire men but ladies clean great and it looks like some people need cleaning service but can be anyone .
