I find it funny about how the same conservative muslims that shun music are the ones pushing all the hate and intolerance. Music is not haram because it has never been forbidden in the Koran. Look it up. What is forbidden is any act that makes you forget about Allah. There are a few hadiths but they make reference to bars/taverns and other acts that music was played during. Music in itself in not the problem. People who take other peoples word as the word of Allah are. Research your religion.
