  • INGREDIENTS:
    2lb ground pork
    2 yellow onions, diced
    1 head of Napa cabbage, thinly sliced
    1 small bag of shredded carrots
    2 tsp of ginger paste, divided
    4 tsp of garlic paste (or minced garlic), divided
    1 pkg of Lumpia Wrappers (or egg roll wrappers)
    1 egg + 1 tbs of water
    Soy sauce
    Salt
    Pepper
    Garlic powder
    Onion powder
    Ground ginger
    RECIPE NOTES:
    - Start by making your filling. Sauté onion over medium-high until translucent. Add a generous amount of soy sauce, half of your garlic and ginger pastes, and seasonings. Stir to combine.
    - Turn off heat and stir in carrots. Cool slightly then add cabbage.
    - Season your ground meat w/ remaining garlic and ginger paste and other seasonings. Fold in your veggie mixture along w/ another generous drizzle of soy sauce. Mix to combine.
    - Take 1 lumpia wrapper at a time, add 2-3 tsp of filling to center roll and fold then seal with a brush of egg wash. ( if using square wrappers like mine, I recommend cutting them in half diagonally to be sure you have enough wrappers for your filling)
    - Fry lumpia in 375 degree oil about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
