The notepad referenced Hermione’s Christmas present to Ron and Harry. She gave them each planners for their homework that said various reminders to do homework such as the one on the notepad: “don’t leave it till later you big second rater”

Can we just talk about how kind Cherry is, worrying about people’s allergies and Veganism?! She is the best.
Another concern she had was how long it takes for the boxes to be shipped out and how long the edibles had been in the boxes and if they could be eaten when you get them.
Yeah and the celiac disease, I have it so I if I would buy that I couldn’t eat it

Hermione Granger gave one each to Harry Potter and Ron Weasley in 1995 as Christmaspresents. Neither of them was particularly pleased with the gift. Harry made a mental note to chuck it into the fireplace the first chance he got, though it is unknown if he ever actually did so.

I think if there are edibles in a box then when you buy it, it should have a section where it says edibles and if you click on it and put your allergy so they can give you something else

A very strong box this month. The Lestrange family emblem is a raven. According to younger Newt when not going home for the holidays to take care of the Raven baby bird.

Does anyone know if there is any actual film footage of Rik May all as Peeves? When I first read the books it was Rik that I envisioned as Peeves... literally the only person who could have pulled it off so well. When I read the books to my son I always do a Rik voice for Peeves. I'd love to see footage. Such a shame it was cut.

@@blus00p Apparently he was cut due to making the actors laugh too much and so they couldn't record the scenes - not sure if this is just hearsay or fact though! X

The Rescue Mission sticker should have been a pin badge; like in the book. When Harry and his friends dialed into the Ministry; pin badges were dropped out of the returned change slot.

I agree. It bothered me to read it. Also, the thestral print has a wording problem with the quote on the top right too. The prints are very pretty but a little proof-reading would've fixed it up fast.

Am I incorrect in thinking that there’s a spelling mistake in that print? Surely isn’t it ‘Grimmauld’ place, not ‘Grimmauled’?

I thought I was the only one! Also 'grimmauld place' itself is a pun; 'grim old place' so I can't see them justifying it by claiming it's a pun. Also don't know what their pun would be?
Maybe it’s a licensing/ trademark issue? It’s just such a shame about the quality of the print.
It's probably a mistake, but it could be referencing what happens to Sirius in HP & the Order of the Phoenix. He doesn't get mauled but it's tragic & harry mistook Sirius for the grim in HP & the Prisoner of Azkaban.
Wait one heckin' Hogwarts minute! There was an actor cast as Peeves, but the director ultimately cut his scenes from the series?? 😲 That takes the travesty of leaving him out to a whole new level.
Full Expression yeah. He did get cut from the movie. When he got home he lied and told his kids he played Hagrid.
I have heard he made the cast laugh too much and they were unable to get the needed takes due to this 😱

The quote from peeves pin comes from McGonagall - when Ubridge replaced Dumbledore and everyone was against her, Harry once saw Peeves trying to unscrew the chandelier and he heard Prof McGonagall whisper to him "it unscrews another way" :)
can i just say, ive been going through a bit of a tough time at school and doing revision for end of term tests but when i watch cherry she just makes me feel so much better and makes my day every day i cant get enough thank you so much cherry :))))

What I started doing once I started getting subscription boxes and having the tea come in. Is I found Potion shaped bottles and then decorate the bottle according to the tea flavor. :) Then I a note book with the sets of potion bottles that Have instructions for each tea. Including steeping, whats in it, the works.

As long as they properly advertise the ingredients/allergens clearly (and come in a nice keepsake or tin!) then biscuits etc are fine in subscription boxes. If you are allergic, share them with someone else and keep the tin!

Firstly, I loved your Christmas box Cherry, it was a lovely treat. I've framed your artwork, you've got a lot of talent. I am put off from any boxes that include tea, candles or edibles (unless the focus of the edible is more on the packaging) as it feels a bit lazy and the link to the theme is often very weak. Your replicas were a lot more exciting!
That little Umbridge imitation at the beginning was pretty good lol
I love the tea, what is even so cool about it is when you've had the tea you can fill it with other loose tea!

I think it’s ok to have food in as long as they give as many warnings as they can and tell you to check the ingredients for them

Oh that would have been brilliant! I'm not a huge fan of the films by any means (I'd rather just listen to the Stephen Fry audiobooks over and over), but they do have some absolute darlings of the British film/tv industry playing the adult characters, and he would have been such an amazing addition.

I have Umbridge's wand & although small it is very pretty. It is one of my favourite wands.
That list came from Hermiones' study guide that she prepared for Harry and Ron.
11:00 I THINK this was from the planner that Hermione gifted one of the boys one year for Christmas that kept shouting random "pick-me-up" phrases, to the great annoyance of Harry.
The note pad is a reference to the Christmas Present that was given to Ron and Harry from Hermione. It was a planner that would talk when you write inside of it.
About the necklace: It's the necklace Bellatrix Lestrange, the 'most loyal servant' of the Dark Lord. It's not mentioned in the books at all, but Helena as Bellatrix wears it often in all films. Who decided on it and to what it refers is debatable; both the Blacks and Lestranges have ravens in their coat of arms, so it could be that. Or Bellatrix is a goth who wears anything morbid, no questions asked. Or, even further, you could drag the Cursed Child into this and [SPOILER ALERT] then it refers to the Augurey that her daughter tattooed on her. [END OF SPOILERS] In any case, it's Bellatrix' necklace, which is neat because usually these boxes dont give Death Eater related stuff.

The peeves quote is from a scene in the book where mcgonagall tells peeves the chandelier unscrews the other way when peeves was trying to loosen it to fall on umbridge
As long as if the food is sealed I don’t have a problem. I just wish they were that way with scented (bath items, candle) items because of my allergies for that. What would be cool is if they allowed an opt out for scented or edible items. If not they should definitely do more like the tea in this box. I think this box did AMAZING on the tea! I wish more boxes did items like that. Also I got the LitJoy 7.1 box and omg they NAILED it! Love love love! Can’t wait to see your reaction!
I love the pin! The Peeves design looks exactly like he did in the PC games. I do not like edibles in the sub boxes, also more likely to get picked up at customs and delayed. Love the Wizarding Trunk boxes though they are really great.

Edibles are a big no for me. Other than allergies, it can also break or go stale if the shipping is delayed/has other problems. Tea and/or coffee are slightly preferable because they lasts a long time and can also work as home fragrance or decorations.
The raven skull necklace belonged to Bellatrix Lestrange and its a replica from the movies 😊
I don't have an issue with them adding edibles (as someone who is lactose intolerant, as well as a variety of allergies) but I think when you sign up for the box, they should ask if you have any allergies or dietary preferences, so they can accommodate. They can have the regular cookies for people without it, and dairy-free/vegan ones. I doubt nut allergies would be an issue for this, but would be good to know for future boxes.

My Mum has allergies and if she got something like that, she'd obviously be a bit disappointed but would share it with someone who could eat it. Sometimes we get items in boxes we don't like, or won't use (I'm thinking of the infamous Green Poo/Snail Throwing Stone in the November Geek Gear Box 🤣🤣🤣

Agreed. I’m vegan and I would hate hate hate knowing that I’d supported animal cruelty by receiving that box. I’d throw away the cookies and the lotion. No way do I want to pass that on to someone else. I once got a leather bracelet in a subscription box, and I had to bury it. I felt HORRIBLE.

Heidi Sherbet Please research milking and egg practices. If you watch a documentary called “Earthlings,” you will understand why those are not safe or gentle practices at all, and why “if you don’t milk them it hurts” is a misguided notion and far from the truth. Then I’ll be glad to talk to you.

Edible things and teas are okay in boxes, as long as they're completely sealed and considered an extra item. I would HATE for it to be one of the items when there's a lot of people with food allergies, and that includes teas, as it's usually not just tea leaves but flowers, fruits and spices. It would be okay if the description states that one of the items will always be a tea or something when you sign up for the box.
