@@thetruthbehindplanes how many times do I have to tell you that I love Boeing? And airbus! I love both, but I hate pro-boeing or pro-airbus fanboys like you crying around on the Internet trying to prove which is better, it's so cringe 😬
I've flown the 747-400 twice between London and Hongkong, despite it being two 12 hour flights it was incredibly smooth. I have had a soft spot for the 747 ever since.
I flew on a Lufthansa 747-8 from Frankfurt to Houston in October of 24. It was very nice. It felt like a new plane still! I sat in business class upstairs. The layout is a little odd in that the seats offer no privacy, however, it was comfortable and the service was terrific. Had any First Class seat been available, I would definitely had purchased that seat. I’m thankful for having been able to fly on one of the Queens of the Skies.
I fly once a year on a Lufthansa 747-8 from Sao Paulo to Frankfurt and I look forward to it months in advance. I hope that this aircraft will continue to be used on this route for a long time to come.
I was on the 747-8 in 2022 from Chicago to Frankfurt in economy, and the upper deck business class in 2018 from Boston to Frankfurt. I love that aircraft too. My goal is to get on the Air China and Korean Air 747-8 before they go out of service. That would be amazing!
I saw a UPS Boeing 747-8F in BLR Airport last week before I boarded my flight. It was truly a fantastic sight to see, I got a video of the 747 and even now it is the rarest plane I have ever seen with my own eyes
Probably the last operator will be LH, they need the type with its business class layout. Even more than the A380, which is too cumbersome in some cases. But well, with Germany's economic downturn that might not be needed as much as they thought? We shall see. And yeah, else the last operators are probably going to be those with freight and government planes.
Asiana recently started operating 2 used 747-400Fs from China Airlines. Since the airline will merger with Korean Air and as a merger process the cargo department will merger with Air Incheon soon, they didn’t fully painted the livery. So the livery is kind of a mixture of Asiana and China Airlines.
I remember flying on an Asiana 747-400 in 1995 or 1996 in the upper deck business class Seoul Gimpo (no incheon airport yet) to LAX (roundtrip) prior to the days of lie flat seats. I was 5 or 6 at the time. I was with my younger sister and my dad going to visit mom who came to the US first to study abroad
they HAD 747 8f. probably underdemanded cargo to fill it up. but if that was so,why is saudia trying to convert 777 300er into a cargo?maybe false news.they said that 2 years ago,and here saudia lies, with no 300erbdsf and only 4 777 cargo freighters(all origional) today so probably underdemanded
I saw a qatar 747-8i at lyon air port, this summer in front of u???ps, i know that qatar sell all of 747-8f but not 8i, did someone know what the queen was doing here in a small airport like that
If the British Empire was (at one point) the Empire where the sun never sets, It can now be said that the Queen of the skies (747) also has an empire where the sun never sets :)
The weird thing was people were crying when United retired their 747-400s, even though the -8 was a thing. Same thing with Delta retiring its MD-80s and -90s, the 717 is a thing🙄.
I would recommend Boeing to resume production of modified B747 again , as Airbus stoped A380 now the market is open sky for big jumbo jets .. also I do not see Boeing would compete with Air bus on medium and small aircraft in the future with the amazing success of A350/A330 and the benefit of A320 LR even A320 …
I do like the Trump design (calling it the Trump design because I don't know the name of the actual designer/s), but the tail needs work somehow. I understand having a full American flag, rather than just a stylized version (like American Airlines, for example), but just having the flag on a blank white tail isn't quite right. Anyone have any suggestions?
note:as per flightradar24,there are only 3 747F in service for Saudia. how sad.1 less 747. the 748 was a success, believe it or not.its mission was to prevent the 380 breaking even, and it succeeded
the A380 would not have broken even anyways. 748 or not. It took away about 40 orders from the A380. Airbus would have needed a lot more to break even. So that's not really on the 747-8.
May the queen of the skies remain flying for a long time ♥️
i thought you didnt like boeing
I think 2035 is the last year...

55 years of 747 in 2024.

I flew on the -400 a few times but I would really like to try the -8 with Luftansa, especially if they outfit it with Alegris

In India!?
My mission is to fly on a 747 before they’re retired
It's WORTH it!
But we are POOR 😢😢
Demand for airliners are increasing and deliveries of new ones are slow so I think the B747 will fly for a long time despite having 4 engines.
Never gonna forget the stopped operations of the Air China B-2445 (B747). Everyone was posting on social media about that final flight... :(
Very distinct and graceful lady! She will always be the Queen of the skies! I have fund memories of flying in the 747.200 and 747.400.
Love the 747-400 and 800!!!
Keep her flying.❤
stop daily mail attemting to try and destroy its rep as well.
👀
It will probably for a long time
You didn't mentioned National Airlines from the USA. We are a small operator but we do operate 9 B747-400 Freighters.
Indeed. You guys have beautiful planes. Hail to the Queen!
(one got tragically destroyed)
Recently had a chance to fly round trip LH 747-400 between YYZ and FRA! Long live the queen of the skies!!! 👍👍👍👌👌👌
Man, I hope to get on a -8 before they retire!!! Got on a British Airways -400 From LHR to DEN back in very early 2020, just before Covid.
Boeing 747 Queen of Skies ♥️🔥
What happened to EP-MNE, the last passenger 747-300, which was last reported to be flying for Mahan Air?
Just because production has ended doesn’t mean the 747 will stop flying. It’ll probably fly for an amazingly long time into the future!

Flew in Luftansa 747-8 ❤ recently .. FRA - BLR
lucky you
same but was SIN-FRA
You can be a first class passenger sitting ahead of the pilot because of the layout of the 747.
Wow I never knew there were that much cargo 747’s
i actually get 747s flying over my house a lot,and pax ones.
because lufthansa uses them for america, and their america routes are over my house.

The last passenger 747 should join the US Air Force soon.
