That rep rack is a beast
The auto tracking camera was just as cool as anything you’ve shown. I look forward to seeing a shorty bench review vid. Also still leaning away from the Transformer bar in favor for an SSB or a Marrs bar.
@@DerickCross34 it was a bit of a pain to balance, but I feel like it was worth it 😆 hopefully I should be switching to a shorty sometime towards the end of this month or next if all goes the way I want it to.
I love the transformer, but we also use it for more than just SSB squats. I actually find myself using it for front squats a lot just because I hate holding a front rack position. Would love to try a Marrs bar someday. I've heard so many great things about it, but it's hard to justify when we've already got the transformer.

I love my ab4100 (I have the same white color), my ab5200 just sits in the corner now. I should really be more like you and just sell it to make room.
@@CVNTGETENOUGH the 4100 is such a great bench, especially for a small or cramped gym space. Light enough to easily move around, yet still super stable under load. Sell that 5200 and use the funds for another new toy! (That's what I'd do anyway 😅)

What modifications, if any, needed to be done to get the Rogue Rhino in the Hydra rack? I’ve been debating about doing the same with a Monster Lite Rack.
@@corzatt4 zero modifications. You just need some extra 5/8" bolts instead of the provided 1" bolts.

Just finished my DIY earthquake bar and it’s so simple, cheap and great… I don’t see myself getting the real thing (sadly for Bandbell)
I got the shorty from Prime. It’s a freaking good bench. My main bench now. Even if I got the chance to get Atlantis and other great stuff, I prefer this one.
The vinyl is probably the downside along with the inability to store it upright…
But other than this, having the ability to remove the top for shoulders, but also for rows… is amazing. Chest press rows is my favourite exercise with the shorty…
The preacher curl attachment is killer too…
@@jonathantremblay3469 thanks mate! Glad the pvc bar is working out so well for you! Also really appreciate the insight on the shorty! I'm for sure going to be getting one soon. I know they're supposedly working on an attachment that lets it store vertically, but who knows when that will actually release.
I believe Jason McKee (man_who_parks_in_gym on ig) had a vertical stand attachment made by somebody. I'll have to see where he got it once I get the bench.
@@DylanKJohnsonI was one of the few lucky that won it at the GCC. I've been rocking mine since February last year.
I gave a ton of comments to Prime about it.
It's not a perfect bench... It has its strength and weaknesses.
But it's my fav so far.
I've been using Atlantis/Cybex/Hammer (and technogym, but technogym sucks) when I was in the commercial gym and a BOS FID 3.0 since I've moved to my homegym.
Atlantis always been by all time favorite... Until I got the Prime.

I also began to draw an attachment to be able to store it uprights as well but I've built a lot of other DIY instead (GHD/Reverse Hyper wall-mounted/foldable , Oak/Maple open trap bar and a couple of other things...). This will be my next project for sure...!
Just one thing about the DIY earthquake bar, I would suggest that you eventually paint it or cover it. This particular kind of PVC is very sensitive to light and UV and could lose it's elasticity and becomes brittle eventually... So the bar will eventually fail in a not good way.
I'm not saying it will happen quickly, but that it's weaknesses compared to less strong electrical PVC hat IS resistant to UV. It's plumbing pipes so it's meant to go underground or in the wall. Just covered mine with heat shrink grip pattern tubing (for tennis...) this very morning...

What is your opinion of the rep open trap bar? Other than a "belt holder" 😁
@@Timm129 😂 it's a great multi-use bar. No balance issues that I've been able to find when using it as a trap bar, and it makes for a solid camber bar. Removing the handles to use it as a camber bar is tedious and annoying though, so I wouldn't recommend trying to do so mid workout. If you're planning to use it as one or the other try to adjust it prior to your workout.
Only other possible con is that it's heavy for a trap bar (like 65lbs or something). Not as heavy as a normal camber bar (typically around 85lbs) but still heavier that some others on the market. Overall I'd say it's a solid bar. It doesn't get a lot of use simply because I am not a huge fan of trap bar deadlifts, and I have a Rogue camber bar if I want to do camber movements. My wife loves it, but she hasn't had trap bar deadlifts programmed for a while.

Prime pendulum? Where is the info on this?
@@Cd11998 they've shown a prototype and one of the first units on their story a while back, along with their hack squat. It's not officially released yet so you'd have to email them and see if they could provide more info.
