Jimin since age 11-12 studied, performed, & competed (winning every competition) in hip hop, popping,& street dancing while attending the renowned Busan Just Dance Academy while also still going to middle school! He then went on to study & perform contemporary while attending Busan High School of the Arts he also sturdier ballet & traditional Korean dance as well! When performing at a festival event concert in Busan the media called him "the rising star of Busan". Jimin even received an offer to perform oversees but he said he also wants to sing as well, to the dismay of one of his dance instructors who said 'the world of dance is losing a great artist". So he went and auditioned for BigHit Entertainment which Jimin ultimately signed him! Even though Jimin was the last to join only having less then 6 months to train before they debuted BigHit still gave him the official title of Main Dancer & Lead Vocalist since the beginning when BTS debuted! They even had Jimin in charge of being the one to sing all the high notes as well as most of the background high notes that have usually gone acknowledged.
Jimin also, since a quite young age trained in various forms of martial arts including Taekwondo which he has a blackbelt in as well as Kumdo (Korean form of kendo). Jimin was so good that he was given a scholarship to go to China to study more extensively. Jimin has been able to find a way to incorporate all the various dance styles he's learned as well as his martial arts training into his own unique outstanding dancing abilities, that you can't help but notice while he's performing. Jimin's amazing inner core strength (probably from all those years of martial arts training), has given him the ability to those amazing gravity defying moves that many dancers are unable to do! Jimin is looked up to by many other idols for his amazing stage presence, dancing, vocal ability, plus his work ethics practicing non stop continually being the absolute perfectionist that he is!! He's been even voted this year by a poll as King of Kpop.

Most of all I appreciate that you tied it all together with regard to how he’s blending them all. There is a Twitter account that I follow of two long-time dancers. They’ve highlighted how his variety of skills has generated something they’ve never seen expressed this way-a style all his own.
They’ll create whole threads on just one element, picking it apart a piece at a time. I’ve gotten lost in whole threads on his variations on pirouettes, his turnout, how he continues the move through the entire beat of music...
I really think he’s going to leave a mark on the international dance world as he gets more exposure. He deserves every bit of it.

Jimin’s background in modern dance shows through in all his dance. He has that mind-body connection and that expression of movement with his entire body, whether it’s delicate fluid movement that reaches through to his fingertips, or precisely measured powerful movements, and everything in between.
About blindfolded Jimin.... I remember reading somewhere that a person in the audience saw the preparation for that stage, that it was JHope that positioned blindfolded Jimin on his spot before going to his own half of the stage.

Watching Jimin PERFORM is like being in a trance…he pulls you in. You are held captivated by how is body speaks when he dances…how fluid and seductive each movement is. He is SEDUCTION personified. I admire how Jimin (and all the other members) work very hard at their craft. I am proud of them.

The part where Jimin is blindfolded is a part of their MAMA 2016 performance and the songs they perform are their solo songs from WINGS album . Jimin was dancing with JHope to the songs Boy meets evil and to his own solo Lie in this stage,
and you are absolutely right Jimin puts all his emotion and soul into his dance , his body moves in a Godlike way and he has incredible body control ! This man can walk and fly through air like it is nothing! but the downside is that sometimes he overwork himself and he unfortunately has chronic muscle pains in his neck and legs, but he is getting all the help he needs from Big Hit staff and medical assistants and he is doing good right now, hopefully good enough for the pain to not come back.
Also you should check out JIMIN high notes compilation ! you will loose it when you will hear what he can do with his voice too! ^^

When he ripped his jacket off is from a battle dance broadcasted in a show. The one with the cameraman is from behind the scene of "Lie" video. And at 22:22 is from "Puma" commercial.
Jimin and Jhope both are powerful and very skillful dancers. And both have got sunshine personalities. I love this duo, both on and off stage.

Ahjusshi _Brown That’s a half split. One of his legs is bent. JM is the only one we’ve seen do a full split and that’s because of his ballet and contemporary background.

Jimin goes hard! You mentioned how that could affect his body when he's older--he already suffers from chronic pain unfortunately. But he's determined to give 150% always. His dancing is magical and I hope he takes care of himself so he can always dance!
Jimin is literally THE MOST versatile dancer in Kpop. The way he’s not only dancer of many genres but he creates his OWN style by blending all the knowledge he has into his dancing! And his BODY CONTROL! He can literally move every single muscle in his body and he does in the most beautiful ways. He’s INSANELY talented 🤩

When he left dancing world to be an idol one of his dance teachers literally CRIED saying they’re loosing such a star and talent (but he still got to shine nevertheless!).

Jimin was first and foremost a contemporary dancer. He said in one of his earlier interviews that he had a hard time transitioning to hip hop. He works hard and is a perfectionist. Btw, that wooden figure is an essential part of the program, lol! Thanks for the laughs Kito and Naomi. I always look forward to your reactions. Maybe I'll check out those american tv shows with 90-year old hosts, hahaha.

Later on he started studying & performing contemporary. He went later on to Busan High school of Performing Arts receiving top honors in not just the arts but academically while attending continually! Even studied some ballet & Korean traditional dance as well. That is why Jimin found it difficult to once again ho back to dancing hip hop since a dancers body has muscle memory which is why it was hard to transition back to hip hop which uses almost opposite core muscles. Only because JIMIN first learned hip hop was shy this was not only possible for Jimin to achieve but learned how to incorporate all the various dance styles as well as his 8 years of martial arts training which includes a blackbelt in Taekwondo as well as Kumdo (Korean form of kendo) into his unique dancing ability.
A lot of trainees who hope to debut as an idol often cover Jimin’s solo dances because they look up to him and he’s well respected in the dance community. You can look up dance polls and jimin is always at the top. People in South Korea literally call Jimin the “IT Boy”. I’m always proud of jimin 💜
What I find crazy is that Jimin can dance and move like he does in the skinniest fitting jeans. He’s so satisfying to watch. You can tell he loves and believes in what he’s doing💜🔥

Jimin has the best dancing hair I have ever seen. I want to run my fingers through his hair for him. This boy is so talented and he has talented hair. I believe the white outfit was a commercial he shot for Puma. They are spokes persons for Puma along with a host of other products that they have endorsed.

The part at the end where he's all in white dancing in the warehouse is actually part of a Puma commercial that they did. There was more to it, but Jimin dancing to Butterfly is definitely the highlight of the commercial.

@@amandamichelle9426 you are right! Jimin learned Hiphop, mastered in popping, streetdance at Just Dance Academy before he did contemporary. There are even some videos of him dancing hiphop when he was in 8th grade...

you should check out Jungkook dancing. he seems like perfect mix of jimin and jhope styles that makes it his own. he smooth and hard with fast feet. add the facial expressions and you have an awesome performance.

I can't quite agree that he's a perfect mix of JHope/Jimin styles. I really like his dancing, but where JHope is like water to me, Jimin is like honey, Jungkook has a strength that feels more solid to me. As I'm sitting here, contemplating what it reminds me of, I picture birds...especially the strength and grace of falcons/hawks/eagles/etc. Yeah, the focus, clarity, speed, & strength of a hunting bird, is more how I see JK's style.
You guys should also start reacting some more of their videos that show off their personality! I would recommend bts being crackheads at award shows or any videos by the user jamjamj

It's an R-rated Jimin. 😅 As you heard from the Army, Jimin has a way of stealing your man, woman or child, including yourself. Like you said, even Tilo couldn't keep his eyes off him. 🤣 Jimin sings and dances with his heart and soul that you can't help but feel his mesmerizing genuine essence. He pushes so hard and puts so much into his performance for us that his body does take a toll. As much as we love it all, we hope he doesn't pressure himself too much and take care of himself.

@@ruthg2670 You can see him do it briefly in a sequence with J-Hope during BTS's "Airplane pt. 2" performance at the 2018 Mnet Asian Music Awards in Hong Kong. Since the sequence is so quick, Yoongi gets about 85% of the way to a full split, but the way he naturally went up and down tells me that he probably could have done a full split if it was a slower sequence. A few of my friends and I do a lot of dance, different types of dance, so I tend to pick up on someone's capabilities sometimes. Trust me, Yoongi's an underrated dancer.😂 There's an old video of Yoongi and Hobi dancing to "Danger", I recommend watching it to get a glimpse of the potential.

Also you can be biased towards all of them, that's totally fine and a large part of ARMY feel the same 😂 it's called being OT7 (which comes from the acronym OTP which stands for One True Pair and usually denotes your preference for a romantic or friendship pairing that you believe in and support. OT7 just means you support all 7 equally). You can also be OT7 and have a particular bias towards one member now and change your bias towards a different member later. And if you feel bad and don't want to pick favourites among them, then welcome to the club bc a lot of ARMYs also feel that way too 😂😂😂 you can also enjoy subunit pairings within BTS as well, as most of us do, which is where you enjoy the particular friendship between 2 of the members either bc you like the wholesome relationship, enjoy the dynamic of beauty, talent, sexiness, vocals, or get all hot and bothered imagining a more romantic/sexual relationship bw them. I want to say all of this is fervent fan behavior but BTS encourage it themselves, tho they've never confirmed any romantic/sexual connections (which is their right bc it's their business alone). Anyway, long story short, there's even more for you to enjoy when it comes to BTS than you already know. So far you've just reacted to official musical content but wait until you get into the funny vids and personality type things, bc that's where the fandom inside jokes start and make everything even more fun 💜
