GI Joe is one tough dude, I've seen him buried alive, smashed under some rocks, caught on fire and now fed to the sharks and yet he still manages to get rescued by the almighty metal detector. My little Bounty Hunter 5000 saved his butt from the sands of Pomme De Terre Lake Mo. Another great video Sir Adams thank you................
Awesome. Beautiful weather I must say. You will probably get asked those stupid questions like I do when I show people my finds and there is a marble in the group. "Wow! You can find glass too with that thing?". Yep! I found the little plastic green army man as well. Good times are to be enjoyed.
+Rasam3 thank you. Your translation to English is: Another great video, I'm from the Czech republic, we have the sea, but I've always at sea, with all the treasure in the world.
I started only watching your videos using the Excalibur II since that is what I have. Your videos are so good however I am now watching every one of them. Keep it up!
North of Kalgoorlie gold nuggets are being found even on top of the ground (sunbakers) I personally havent been up there yet. Did you check out our beaches? The surfers like Scarborough beach but from there you can see beaches in both directions for miles. Cheers HH&GL
Chris Barrett Thanks Chris, I found this about Kalgoorlie: In January 1893 prospectors Patrick (Paddy) Hannan, Tom Flanagan, and Dan O'Shea were travelling to Mount Youle when one of their horses cast a shoe. During the halt in their journey, the men noticed signs of gold in the area, and decided to stay and investigate. On 17 June 1893, Hannan filed a Reward Claim, leading to hundreds of men swarming to the area in search of gold and Kalgoorlie, originally called Hannan's, was born.@wiki/Kalgoorlie?o=2801&qsrc=999&ad=doubleDown&an=apn&ap=ask.com#cite_note-3
Absolutely correct! The history of the gold fields is taught in our schools. God bless the horse that lost his shoe lol. There is another story that's been told for a long time about a guy who was gold digging in the area and tied his horse up to the same rock each time he went to his mine. The story goes that his horse pulled the rock over one day and there it was, the biggest nugget he ever found. I'm not sure if it was under the rock or in the rock itself? Anyway he purchased a general store with his findings and made a fortune selling hardware to the flood of immigrants looking for their honey holes. Glad you have an interest in our humble beginnings. All the best to you, I'm staying in today The temperature is going to be 41 Celsius, ouch! HH&GL
Just subbed you. I really should start videoing my hunts, darned gopros are so pricy here in Oz. Love the coin and note, when you first pulled it up I thought "what the heck? Do those notes have a metal band in them" lol then you unwrapped it doh! I use a White's surf master which is old enough to vote, but, it goes real deep so why change. I'll take a look at some of your other vids. Happy new year to you and yours. Chris.
Chris Barrett Very funny, Yes that was unexpected. I have a friend with a White's like yours and he finds a lot of good things with it..Happy New Year to you too.
G'day! Does that greeting give you any idea of my homework? Perth, Western Australia is where I'm at. Although a beautiful place it is relatively new history wise. The aboriginal folk that have been here many many years didn't know how to make iron tools so our hunting is fairly limited to a couple of hundred years maximum. I collect pre decimal coins (before 1967) the old coins are really nice to find. I have a heap of jewellery which is left over after trying to find the owners. All the best for 2015, I hope you find the mother load. HH&GL Chris.
Chris Barrett Very cool Chris, Perth looks like a very interesting place to live. www.discoveraustralia.com.au/didyknow.html do you ever go hunting for gold nuggets?
KU NI Thank you KU NI, I didn't buy the Sea Hunter. A friend of mine owns a Metal Detecting company in Hialeah Florida and loaned it to me to try out. Jose's company is called Bordallo Corp. he sells locally and on the internet. His company website is www.BordalloCorp.com
I couldn't get used to the mark2 tones they sounded the same to me with all metals so it must be the at pro. But my goto is the Excalibur II amzn.to/3EVX3Le
How did you like the Sea Hunter ? Does it compare to the Whites Dual Field or Minelab Excalibur ? I use a Dual Field and love it ! have an chance to get a Sea Hunter at a great price... just wondering
Don Riley Don, I haven't used a Whites yet, but I do have an Excalibur 2. With the Sea Hunter it was hard for me to tell the difference in tones everything sounded the same. With the Excalibur you have distinctive tones. Also a plus for each is they can be used for diving up to 200 feet. Hope this help's. Try searching the forums for the pros and cons of them. One of my favorites is www.treasurenet.com/
I don't have the Sea Hunter any more but with any machine in the water TAKE OFF THE COIL COVER (sand and air get's in and will cause noise) plus I use divers grease on all the O rings for the coil and head phone connectors and battery.
I'm having an issue with mine and wanted to know if your detector is detecting metal above the coil. Tech at Garrett said it should, I dont remember mine ever doing this, thanks.
The one I used in the video was borrowed from a friend that owns a metal detecting company. I called him and he tried it from the top and it does detect above the coil.
@@RAdams Thanks so much, still trying to figure out the repeating and drifting tones dont know if it's some interference in my area. I'm going to take a drive and see if it still does it, fortunately it's under warranty.
stites outdoors I'm not sure if he is still making them. The scoop I'm using is called the Howie Scoop. It's hand made by Howie here in South Florida. It's all aluminum and very light. Search Google + for the Howie Scoop around $175 thanks for taking the time to watch. Happy hunting.
I have a Sea Hunter also, very good machine. But if I might ask what are you wearing? I get burned up like a lobster in about 30 minutes, which is too bad because I love the water.
An Excalibur II might be a little more than I can afford to start out. Does the Sea Hunter Mark II NEED Ground Balance in salt water and on the beaches ? Thanks
The Sea Hunter is a PI "Pulse Induction" machine and all metals sound the same to me and most people so you will be digging a lot of trash. The Excalibur is a VLF " Very Low Frequency" machine and different metals sound different and is what I like to use. If you can't afford a new machine try looking for a used one. I got my used excel for about $850 I think.
I've noticed from watching your videos, that you have more than one water detector. I'm also a detectorist but so far I only detect farm fields and such, as I am currently in Bayern (Bavaria) Germany. I am moving to the States soon and want to do some beach detecting as you do. I am seriously considering the Garrett Sea hunter as in this video. How do you rank it compared to your other detectors? What coil do you use on it? what kind of depth do you get? Thanks!! Happy Hunting!!
+John McDermott I water hunt about 95% of the time and I prefer the others I have because you can distinguish the different metals by tone. With the Sea Hunter everything sounds the same to me but it does go deep. They all have the standard coil and you can hear the differences of each in my testing & mods section. I hope this helps and thanks for watching.
That was the Howie scoop that is no longer made. Howie stopped making them and now I'm using the Extreme scoop by John in Texas here is a video I made to demo it ruclips.net/video/fXDkWUfYGlk/видео.html
I know you use both sea hunter and the at pro I just bought an at pro I live here in miami beach but I hear the at pro is not good for saltwater but I see you use it, please what is you opinion? thanks
jean jean bidule I think I got the magnet at Home Depot or Lowes. It helps pick up the Bobbie pins and Iron that would fall though the holes. And congratulations on your new machine happy hunting and good luck out there.
jean jean bidule The Sea Hunter is an amazing machine. Running no disc I have detected those round stretch bands that women put on their pony tails at over 2ft deep! I mean that is ridiculous, there is only a tiny piece of brass on those things. No wonder the Mel Fisher folks use this machine on their treasure dives.
joesphx19 thank you, merci ! Unfortunately, here in France, people do not bring money to the beaches, no ice cream sellers.... but it is true that it is a very good machine !
When you hunt with the Garrett Sea Hunter what do you set your machine on and do you dig every signal? I use one for fresh water and have found rings but dig a lot of hairpins and rusty nails.
benxuxova There is no simple answer to that question. They both work very well but they are two different animals. Sea hunter goes deeper but plan to dig everything and can be used for diving up to 200' AT Pro not as deep but you will get a good idea of whats there and can get wet down to 10' Try searching the on line forums for the pros and cons of each.
crusher1944 Wow very wise words from an old man. Maybe someone of your age could explain the differences from experience between the two machines instead of simply calling someone a fool. I only have the ATP, so from watching R Adams channel he uses both successfully. I was simply asking his take on both. R Adams Thank you.
+benxuxova It has been one year from when you entered your remarks. I hope this isn't to late. The sea hunter is a pulse machine. Seems to be a great machine for high mineral areas ( the ocean) But it has only one signal, so you must dig everythinnnnnngggggggggggg. I don't have that machine but am looking for another machine for the ocean. The sea Hunter looks like a contender. I have the 3030 and ATP. The ATP operation in the ocean stinks ... Now having said that, In order for me to get the ATP to operate in the wet sand or ocean I have to lower the dis and the sen so low that I don't think it is working anywhere near it's potential of 600+ $ machine. It is a frequency EMI coil machine. The machine is a knockout on land! Now my 3030 machine isn't a pulse machine but works great in the ocean without any problem. I have issues with a few things of the 3030. The battery compartment gasket is to cheap so it has a tendency to leak. ( mine not yet.... other people have ) I put a rubber band over the clips of the battery to hold it secure. There has been a correction from minelab that they put another small gasket on the battery . Will it work ????????? I paid over 2k$ to use rubber bands. The shaft extension lock is not holding the bottom shaft as tight as when it was new . ( only one year old) I have not delt with Minelab yet. ( hope I never do ) But on the videos and forums I have read it is not a nice experience. I have dealt with Garrett to find great service, Fast response time in sending equipment, no hassle . And the factory is in the USA. There are a few small things that bothered me for the price of the 3030 machine but for now it seems to be working fine in the ocean, Every once in a while i will see a coin or metal on the wet sand and the machine will not make any sound or read a number on the screen??????? I hunt in coin , sea mode. The menu is large compared to other machines. I don't see me using the majority of the menu . It takes to long to stand there and remember where your old setting were if you want to go back. The 3030 also has some sort GPS system in it. Im not into that stuff . the 3030 instruction booklet that comes with the machine is terrible. I had to by other books and call the dealer to get information. It would be nice to be able to try machine for a while before you purchase them. I don't know of people in my area or clubs nearby so it is a guessing game reading these posts since some of them have a agenda. or you can get some idiots like +crusher1944 making comments for some logical & innocent questions. If you don't mind I have a friend on RUclips who has the same metal detector you have. I was wondering if you could check out a few of her videos. And see if you could give her some help on how to improve. Her user name is SheDetector. Thanks so much take care.
I live in Denmark :) and want to start metal detecting, But .... what would be a good starter, i have watched endless sites and many sells for low price, but i don't want to buy to cheap and end up with something that dosent work. can you help out.and btw that was a nice J.I joe action figure and ring you found there
+gratismand Check the forums on www.treasurenet.com to see what machines people are using in your area and ask some questions they are very helpful. Good luck and happy hunting
Nice to see the Sea Hunter in action. I seem to have had more luck with mine in the dry sand than the water up here in N. Fl. I lived in S. Fl. in the 50s-70s and just dream of all that silver that must have been on the beaches, ripe for easy picking.
Ok. Thanks for that. I'm hoping to do similar in Australia. Do have the AT Pro, but I wasn't certain it would be up to it. Any tips you might be able to give with the Pro?
R Adams okay i was just asking it seems like you have a lot. another question what do you keep your finds and gatorare in while detecting in the water.
+agaveman It is a long sleeve surfer T shirt and it's better than sun screen. I guess it may look strange because I'm the only one in the water with a shirt.
Doug Rennick Thanks I'll keep that in mind. Most of the time I'm just into hunting and don't talk. I just turn the camera on when I get out of the car and let it run and if I have a good hunt or if something interesting happens I'll post a video. Thanks for commenting and good luck to you
jean jean bidule Very cool I'm glad I inspired you. Don't get discouraged and take your time with it. Don't expect to find gold or silver right any. Good luck and happy hunting.
+Gregory M hello ! , I like it a lot but I wear the electronic box on the belt because it strains the arm when you use it a long time. it use 8 batteries to work.but it's cheaper than the minelab excalibur 2.
The 10 dollar bill was a very nice surprise.. I wish I was near a beach, or even in an an area where lake hunting rules are sane but that area doesn't exist in Texas between the fascist Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the $25.00 limit (or turn it in to the lost and found) rule of the Army Corp of Engineers. (All our public lakes are controlled by one or the other).
With the Army Corp of Engineers they are Feds and they could search you and when you are on their lakes they have the right to seize your equipment on the slightest pretense. Texas Parks and Wildlife will just write you a large fine with the option to arrest you for using detecting equipment on their lakes, and also perhaps seize your equipment. State parks are completely off limits..I have no problem with that, but some of the lakes are also under their control and they import those restrictive rules to those areas.
+R Adams New York state and City is also hard . Anything older than 50 years you CAN'T KEEP. The beaches are 45$ on long island for each beach per day as I read the rules. and out of state plates are more too. Having said that NYC has free permits. ( so far ) Butttttt there are a lot of rules. Like any expensive rings or expensive targets MUST be turned in to the police and YOU must make am attempt to locate the owner. To apply for the next year you must list the things you found previous year. You can't hunt , dig under any tree , must be beyond the drip line of the tree. etc etc etc etc etc etc so on and so forth.
Wow with a name like "Peterdavid" I would not be criticizing others. Let's see how entertaining your videos are, ok? Come back when you decide on a name, lmao.

Nice video! I notice your using both the sea hunter and the Excalibur II in another vid. How do they compare and which do you like the best since you use both?
Thanks and HH
WV Heli I like the Excalibur II because you can distinguish the different metals by tone. With the Sea Hunter everything sounds the same to me. Here are the links: Excalibur II tones: ruclips.net/video/vJu70ftwBts/видео.html Sea Hinter tones: ruclips.net/video/l4vjs_465oU/видео.html hope this helps and thanks for watching.
Question, when you can't see the coil, what technique do you use to make sure you are putting the scoop down in the right spot?
Numisaccent With a little practice you can feel the back of the coil with the scoop some guys put there foot behind the coil then the scoop on top. Thanks for asking and watching.
Thank you Daniel Pataro for viewing
If you don't mind I have a friend on RUclips who has the same metal detector you have. I was wondering if you could check out a few of her videos. And see if you could give her some help on how to improve. Her user name is SheDetector. Thanks so much take care.
she detector is doing A ok. Give her some time and you will see a real pro.
Gregory M She is doing awesome. She has 3 metal detectors a real scoop. A pin pointer. And tons of people who support her
for sure! I have followed her from her first video.
Gregory M Same here
I live in Denmark :) and want to start metal detecting, But .... what would be a good starter, i have watched endless sites and many sells for low price, but i don't want to buy to cheap and end up with something that dosent work. can you help out.and btw that was a nice J.I joe action figure and ring you found there
+gratismand Check the forums on www.treasurenet.com to see what machines people are using in your area and ask some questions they are very helpful. Good luck and happy hunting
A quarter in a $10.00 bill= PRICELESS!
Man I like that scooper you have.....
And that was a good quarter find
Jose Gonzales Thanks Jose
Jose Gonzales The scoop is called the Howie Scoop and is hand made by Howie here in South Florida. It's very light but also very strong.
That's what I'm looking for. The one I have keeps bending and I'm getting tired of it
I tried using my at pro at the beach. Between the salt and high iron content in the rocks, I nearly had a meltdown..
Some beaches make the AT Pro go nuts.
what is your favorite salt water detector you have used?
Awesome videos, how are you recording them?
+Robert Sargent Thanks Robert, GoPro Hero Black
Cool ,how's it worn?
Hello, what is the length of the handle of your sand scoop please !
jean jean bidule 40 inches from the top of the handle to the top of the scoop.
I've seen you use several different metal detectors in the water, which one do you like the best? Trying to decide between sea hunter or sand shark
I'm not a big fan of pulse induction metal detectors, all metals sound the same to me.
The 10 bucks had me like wtf??
Nice to see the Sea Hunter in action. I seem to have had more luck with mine in the dry sand than the water up here in N. Fl. I lived in S. Fl. in the 50s-70s and just dream of all that silver that must have been on the beaches, ripe for easy picking.
joesphx19 Yep I'm sure there is more hiding on the beaches and parks. I'm a native Floridian to. Good luck out there.
R Adams
Thanks, I'll be watching for your videos, really like your style.
how long is the scoop ?
Sea hanter the king of coins
Hi
I see you use the ATX and the Sea Hunter.
Do you have any preference between these detectors?
+Boris Bevan No, I just tried them out. Right now I prefer the CTX 3030 and two backups, the Excalibur II and the AT Pro
Ok. Thanks for that. I'm hoping to do similar in Australia. Do have the AT Pro, but I wasn't certain it would be up to it. Any tips you might be able to give with the Pro?
Is the Sea Hunter the best detector for salt water?
Not sure if its the best, but I like the Excalibur II more because I can understand the tones easier.
Do you do any snorkeling while detecting?
Numisaccent I have but I like to keep my head above water to look for FINS
Super!!!
How much metal detectors do you have you use a different one in almost every video
Right now just three. The AT Pro, Excalibur II, and the CTX 3030.
R Adams okay i was just asking it seems like you have a lot. another question what do you keep your finds and gatorare in while detecting in the water.
I use a fanny pack
Is that some white sun suit?
+agaveman It is a long sleeve surfer T shirt and it's better than sun screen. I guess it may look strange because I'm the only one in the water with a shirt.
Buen vídeo.
Don't try to fib us we know you haven't stopped playing with the GI Joe figure??
Cool
Trae Jones Thanks
You found my Gi joe i lost! YO JOE
Muito bom!!!
Mr.Adams, other than chatting with the girls on the beaches, why don't you talk about what you are doing each time you go out.thanks.
Doug Rennick Thanks I'll keep that in mind. Most of the time I'm just into hunting and don't talk. I just turn the camera on when I get out of the car and let it run and if I have a good hunt or if something interesting happens I'll post a video. Thanks for commenting and good luck to you
I brought one sea hunter after watching this video
jean jean bidule Very cool I'm glad I inspired you. Don't get discouraged and take your time with it. Don't expect to find gold or silver right any. Good luck and happy hunting.
+jean jean bidule Would you report on the use of the machine? Likes, dislikes?
HH GL & God bless
+Gregory M hello ! , I like it a lot but I wear the electronic box on the belt because it strains the arm when you use it a long time. it use 8 batteries to work.but it's cheaper than the minelab excalibur 2.
thanks a lot HH GL & God bless
your intro gave me a fright!
Kreepa Sorry about that I think I'll lower it the next time.
xD no dont worry
The 10 dollar bill was a very nice surprise.. I wish I was near a beach, or even in an an area where lake hunting rules are sane but that area doesn't exist in Texas between the fascist Texas Parks and Wildlife, and the $25.00 limit (or turn it in to the lost and found) rule of the Army Corp of Engineers. (All our public lakes are controlled by one or the other).
WOW I'm sorry to hear that. Do they have Metal Detecting Police that check your findings?
With the Army Corp of Engineers they are Feds and they could search you and when you are on their lakes they have the right to seize your equipment on the slightest pretense. Texas Parks and Wildlife will just write you a large fine with the option to arrest you for using detecting equipment on their lakes, and also perhaps seize your equipment. State parks are completely off limits..I have no problem with that, but some of the lakes are also under their control and they import those restrictive rules to those areas.
I feel you pain TexasTigerDigs! It's exactly the same here on Maryland.
Matthew Summers
Wow Maryland too? I wonder how many states have these stupid laws?
+R Adams New York state and City is also hard . Anything older than 50 years you CAN'T KEEP. The beaches are 45$ on long island for each beach per day as I read the rules. and out of state plates are more too. Having said that NYC has free permits. ( so far ) Butttttt there are a lot of rules. Like any expensive rings or expensive targets MUST be turned in to the police and YOU must make am attempt to locate the owner. To apply for the next year you must list the things you found previous year. You can't hunt , dig under any tree , must be beyond the drip line of the tree. etc etc etc etc etc etc so on and so forth.
that money might be witchcraft. I've been on that beach before, I've seen some serious witchcraft.
I hope not but I did find a black bag and opened it to find a chicken without feet and what a bad smell.
R Adams yeah there is many different things. burnt coconuts, eggs, goat feet crazy stuff bro
ten dollar bonus !! lol
+the shadow people Just helped with the gas and toll money
go metal detecting and scoop up a 10, thats crazy lol
Subbed you😉
You should talk a bit
I do but I rarely talk to myself.
People learn from what you say and listen for, cheers and happy hunting.
OK I'll try
Would be better with a commentary....even a few words. You're no Beau Omelette...
Wow with a name like "Peterdavid" I would not be criticizing others. Let's see how entertaining your videos are, ok? Come back when you decide on a name, lmao.
Realistic, like my hunting days.. Bot the caps, old lawn tools, etc. These a holes that find 200 year old coin on every Videos give diarrhea..
why do people find old coins and stuff and just rub the living shit out of them....clean them at home without rubbing them....
