  • Thanks to the generous invitation of a dear friend, in mid-May I headed out to Central PA to fish a classic trout river for some native Brown Trout. We had a great time and even caught some fish despite my limited fly fishing skills. My fly rod is a 7'6" St. Croix Pro Carbon 4 weight with an Orvis Clearwater Classic III reel; spinning rod is a 5' Pfleuger President ultra light power rod with a 6925 Pfleuger President reel. Music is "Winds" from the Kwait Brothers Band (now Cabin Dogs). Enjoy!

Love central PA. Are you on the Little J near the end? Just curious. Great fish in that pic in the dark. Also, awesome shot to see SO many rising trout. Wish that happened in MD/DE more :)

Tight Lining MD thanks! Yes-Little J at the beginning and end. Beautiful place and that dusk feed was crazy. The video doesn’t even do it justice. Fish were boiling like a koi pond at feeding time. The water was alive with fish.

@@brandywineangler I have only fished there once. Water was high, but now awful. I was there mid day. I definitely was to get up there this summer. I am on the hunt for a 20" wild brown and I know there and Penns provide me one of my better chances at that given the density of fish. Thanks for responding!
