The 80's were and always will be the greatest era in music. And I'm really glad to see that Patty has continued that legacy.
I met Patty at a magic shop in Colton CA in 1983. We had Pizza sticks and Pepsi with other friends. She was performing at the swing Auditorium in San Bernardino ca. She had an amazing sense of humor. Thanks for the memories Patty.

Just heard this song for the first time. I swear she wrote this song for me and my sister. I was a teenager in the early 80's. Graduated high school in 1984 and my sister is four years older than me but has always been my best friend. We were always inseparable. But life has a way of changing things you don't necessarily want changed. We may not live close but we keep in touch regularly. This song just fits up perfectly. Soon as I heard it I sent it to her to listen to. Definitely going on my play list right at the top. WELL DONE!

I think Patty should be nominated for the RR Hall of Fame. Her voice is still right up there with Stevie and Linda. Combine that with her song writing skills. She deserves induction way more than some that are already in.

Your voice has been a part of the fabric of my growing up in the 80s-maybe more than I realized.
Then, in the early 90s when I began working in radio, there were all those great hits that you brought when top 40 radio was not in great shape.

Such a beautiful song. Patty's voice, the lyrics, the video....I got a lump in my throat from the emotional feelings it brought out in me. Those who have life long friends like that are truly blessed. For mamy of us, we have friends for however many seasons they last. The lesson is to be happy we had those seasons at all, instead of lamenting or regretting them. We learn lessons throughout all of them.
