Call me a skeptic but I seriously doubt that the voice we’re hearing in the video is truly that of the mother of this beast. She definitely sounds human, but says that the bear is her “big boy,” and that she is the bear’s “mama.” I’m just not buying it.

Imagine walking through the forest, suddenly something moves under your feet and then you see that.
Imagine coming out of a deeb sleep in the forest and hearing her.

It may have been a nice video, Except that some obnoxious womans Voice overwhelms the moment, I sure hope she had a big telephoto lens and the poor Bear could not hear her, No wonder they sometimes kill people.
I’ve met this bear. His name’s Boo and he and his twin were orphaned after their mother was shot by a poacher. His twin didn’t survive his first hibernation, but Boo now lives in a massive enclosure in British Columbia which is as close to wilderness as he could get.
I visited him on a whim when I was in the area. His team care about him so much and get so excited telling you everything they’ve learned about bear development, behaviour and communication (you get close enough to see his facial expressions) while watching him grow up. Boo can never be released into the wild, but what people have learned about bear development from him and his twin has allowed some orphan bear cubs to be successfully rehabilitated.

I too wanted her to just SHUT UP! However, based on how she was speaking to him, I suspect that, as a ranger, she's probably known this bear for a very long time. Maybe even since he was a cub. As he is in a 20 acre enclosure, Nicole is probably one of a number who work closely with him and that there is a kindred connection by which they see one another as "family." And what mother can contain herself when excited about experiencing a magic moment with a special family member? Another thought too; as the majority of bear attacks are a result of a bear being suddenly startled (cyclists are attacked the most often), I wonder if her being vocal like that probably helped the bear in his overwhelming stupor and sense of disorientation, to recognize that she was near and therefore, not be suddenly spooked and possibly react in the first part of the "fight or flight" instinct.
Looks like still some fat on him. Might not be hungry. Might still attack her for being loud though. Who wants hear that first thing in the morning amirite?

They sleep I unground burrows. The snow fell afterwards covering the burrow . They don't bury themselves in snow.

I understand the person filming this being excited, but is there any particular reason viewers have to suffer her excited shrieking? I just hope this was telephoto footage so the bear was out of earshot, because if I heard that sound when I'd just woken up I'd be right back inside the den to escape it!
But apparently there is some kind of rule on RUclips that all animal footage shot & uploaded by non-professionals must have a soundtrack that features either loud annoying sounds from people off-camera or a loud and annoying music soundtrack...

There I was, skiing some fine spring powder, thinking of my next jump, and death claws out, in front of me from under the powder snow!
