    That is actually really cool. A talking piece as you said but the fact you can take it to another valve cover later, not pay someone to drill into ya cover etc is pretty neat. Priced right too compared to getting someone to mod the valve cover which I think you made a point of in the vid.
    Gonna snag one for my SR20 and FA24 ;)

    Seems like this would be a great choice if you found a capris turbo valve cover to swap on a 1.6, since it has a different pcv/venting setup

    I just installed the QuickVent system on my turbo miata valve cover, its a cool idea, but the product needs more baffling on the cap (below the threads). The issue is, the cap is right over a cam lobe and gets a TON of oil tossage off the cam into the cap / lines and ends up in the catch can.

  • @lindkvistandreas

    what a beautiful solution.. thank you for sharing this!

  • @J4rn0
    @J4rn0 Год назад +2

    Very nice product, but what about baffling? You completely bypass the baffles in the valve cover which would mean that more oil is actualy leaving the engine then you would with increased port size in the valve cover. Do you have any experience with this? Still a very nice a quick solution regardless.

    • @NappMotorsports
      @NappMotorsports  11 месяцев назад +1

      The unit has built in baffling in it.

    Great design. Will interesting to see how long it takes to vibrate loose on high rpm engines.

    • @NappMotorsports
      @NappMotorsports  Год назад +5

      It shouldn’t if you properly tighten the nut. Your oil cap doesn’t come loose either.

    Great unit. My friends and I in Trinidad and Tobago would be into this gem.
    I have 2 questions though.
    1. What should we do with the PVC system and the other vent port?
    2. How does this affect the Baffle System in the valve cover?.

    • @NappMotorsports
      @NappMotorsports  Год назад

      You can still run the stock setup, this would just be extra, or you can cap it if you please. And it has its own baffle system, so you don’t modify the stock one.

    Thanks for sharing this product. Do you know why there are two ports and not just one? Especially if using a catch can to intake? Seems there would be quite a bit of oil loss to the catch can with this setup especially if using vacuum on the intake as it is an open hole oil filler on the Miata with no way to block splash, etc. Have you tested this? Another you tuber stated one 1/2 hour drive and the catch can was half full and he was not even boosted.

    • @NappMotorsports
      @NappMotorsports  3 месяца назад

      2 ports allows for twice the output.

    • @ajd711
      @ajd711 3 месяца назад

      @@NappMotorsports so this is really only good for track use. I can’t imagine running this for a daily driver. especially for a longer trip. The Moroso air oil separator for example is probably a better option to vacuum.

    I'm trying to build a b6 turbo engine with over 350hp. Could this be a valid solution in terms of performance, as an alternative to installing the AN fittings in the OEM PCV system? or is modifying the valve cover ventilation system still the best way?

    • @NappMotorsports

      From the oil cap to a catch can, and then back to the intake manifold or intake if you want, or get a catch can that has a filter on it and vents to atmosphere.

    I know when you run a regular catch can theres an air hose for pressure. Because there are 2 10an ports does that bypass it meaning that those 2 hoses just run straight to the catch can???
