    Great equiptment to save a fortune in unnessary escavation & quicker solution to discover the blockage or brake in piping or ducting

      Exactly. A few years ago used one to find my drain problem - the sewer line had bellied near an elbow. Digging it up we found the fitting had not been glued and settling in the ground had rotated the pipe to make it several inches below its grade.

    I picked up a similar one from Amazon that has a much tougher cable, but no locating option I was curious if there might be a way to add it? I've seen the replacement heads but not sure if they would work with my unit or not

    Thank you. A very thorough review as always. Can the wand be used for something by itself? I'm wondering why they didn't make the case large enough to house it.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  Год назад +1

      I was wondering that also, but I think the locator is an add-on feature. They sell some camera systems identical to mine without the locator built in.

    To keep me from having to search through your videos page, if you covered one you liked better and can give the video name or a link to it, please do. I have a septic tank system something this might be good for. Great job and coverage and Thanks!

    To be kind of fair to the menu thing, the monitor and control box are essentially just two separate systems combined together in a box- likely the manufacturer of the monitor, which is probably just an off the shelf monitor, is assuming if you’re changing the orientation of the display, you’re physically mounting the monitor in a different orientation, thus changing the menu orientation as well makes sense. The way it is now, with the monitor and control box being two individual systems, I think if anything the control box should be the system responsible for handling the video orientation, especially considering it’s a dynamic inspection camera and not a static security camera or something. Maybe it’s an off the shelf product as well and is typically intended for a fixed camera. But, I feel like the manufacturer of the product just kind of figured “eh, flipping the monitor is good enough”

      Old 😆 America is less than 250 years old, some people here in the UK are still living in 300 year old Georgian era houses 😅...

    Not trying to be a downer but, the issue I have with your review is, you do not appear to be in the plumbing or septic business. You are reviewing this camera at your home not in the field. You have not used the camera several times to make sure it holds up.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  Год назад +2

      The business that I am in is irrelevant. What matters is that you're getting a fair and honest review. The only valid point you stated is that there's no long-term testing. Only time will tell how well it holds up.

      Definitely low end. I've got sewer cameras that cost $12-13000. It's fine for what it is but it ain't high end.

    The wand seems really cheaply made. The foam inside the case will get stinky from the sewer water.

    • @electronicsNmore
      @electronicsNmore  Год назад +4

      Incorrect. The foam is dense, and of course you wipe dry the fiberglass cable and rinse off the camera before putting them back into the case.

      You wipe the cable with a cloth and anti bacterial spray as you rewind ; -)
