  • "The Skye Boat Song" is a late 19th-century Scottish song recalling the journey of Prince Charles Edward Stuart (Bonnie Prince Charlie) from Uist to the Isle of Skye as he evaded capture by Government troops after his defeat at the Battle of Culloden in 1746.
In this version we changed "lad" to "lass", because it´s sung by me, Daya Sea, I´m female and so I can identify better with the lyrics;-)... They also did it this way when using the song for the theme of the OUTLANDER-series.
It´s a live version from a mantra concert journey in Vienna @ Kutlturcafe 7*, March18. Thanks to Elisabeth Denscher (guit) and Florian Razocha (cajon).
