This will be our room. Can you clarify what the obstruction is? It looks like 'water' directly in front of the balcony with some railings? Hard to tell if that's part of the ship or is it the shipyard?
Thank you for watching our video. It’s a maintenance platform outside of the balcony. It’s been painted blue to match the rest of the ship. There isn’t an obstruction as such. You can look out with no obstruction but you can’t look directly down to the water. Maintenance staff have access to this area and can walk by with no warning. It wasn’t an issue for us but something you would want to be aware of. Hopefully that explains it but let us know if you have any more questions
Just watching this video ahead of possible booking, thanks very much for the information, your video is really well done. As far as you know, was most of the 6th deck with lifeboat obstructions, or just this maintenance area? I imagine it doesn't much impede the view, but no real privacy...also, any hints about when/where to go on this ship to eat in quiet setting? Thanks very, very much. David
Thank you for watching our video! I think it was just some of the cabins towards the back that had the maintenance area outside. The other obstructions I think were lifeboats. With regard to somewhere quiet, we found that the main dining room was really good if we went down when it opened (probably true of most ships). We found the buffet to be really busy on our cruise but it might be different on different itineraries. We really liked this ship - we enjoy a smaller ship. Have a great time if you choose to book 😀

Was this at the back of the ship or side please? We're going in a few weeks,deck 6 ,sunset balcony . Thankyou
This was on the side of the ship. It’s the last cabin on the side. A sunset balcony will be amazing. Have a great cruise!

Did you have noise or engine vibration problems?
We didn’t notice anything. We thought we might but we didn’t. We felt it was quite quiet
