Damn, waymo is getting good. The pacifica would have been done pulled off and called home for human takeover or went out of service all together with all the rain. Looks to be going faster and more confident too like a human driver on a mission. Not bad navigating walmart either, i have all kind or horror stories there as driver, passenger, and pedestrian with multiple vehicles.
You posted a video a couple years ago where they had a safety driver during rain because the roads get super slippery during rain because of oil slick or something. When did this change? It’s a good sign of progress on varied weather conditions, so now the next step is driving on highways!!
Does Waymo just automatically turn on its windshield wipers? I was in one when it was raining, and it never turned on, what wondering if I had to activate it
Not long ago, Tesla cult said: "Waymo sucks. It can not even drive in rain!" Me: Of course it can. They just want to be really sure. Testing you know. Now: Waymo handles rain perfectly fine. Meanwhile, Tesla still can not handle Stop signs or red light correctly.
These sort of comments always make me smile. Both systems are doing things very differently. So simply saying one can do this but the other can't is pointless. It is much better to step back and see the bigger picture. If you do that then Tesla have some obvious advantages and are set to dominate in this space.
@@thewatcher5822 If you step back and see the bigger picture you will se that Tesla is in a dead end and with what they have they will never achieve anything beyond ADAS, as they have today. Their entire approach is flawed from the start and has been since introduction ten years ago, and they have not changed, and if they do not change this will be a never ending story. Tesla is way way way in the back in the autonomy race.
@@Xanthopteryx V12 says different. Tesla have basically solved self driving. the only thing required is data and the ability to feed the system. Waymo have the flawed system, and the reasons why will become obvious as Tesla start to dominate in this space.
@@thewatcher5822 No they have not. It even drives itself into clearly visible stuff on the road. That is beyond bad. And then we have not even begun talking about sensor problems...
Will waymo use its horn to alert a pedestrian or another car of a potential accident? I haven’t seen a close call situation yet. Maybe I don’t watch enough of these videos.

Navigated that parking lot better than I would have and I've been driving longer than Waymo has been alive 😂
Waymo does a fantastic job handling parking lots! Next time I’m in town, I should go to the Walmart superstore or another big parking lot!
Those tricky turns with traffic at the beginning were handled well! Overall, Waymo did as well on this trip as any human driver would.
Cool Hi Kevin!!! Happy Friday Lol 👍🏿😷👍🏻🇨🇦🇵🇭🇺🇸

Just a few months ago, I believe

Should do 🤔 depends on the car maybe
@@JJRicks yeah! Seems like it’s mostly jaguars auto wiper feature
that is probably why squirrel and I keep on getting runned over by cars, the sudden changes.

Exactly
