What an astounding speech. Joyce tells it as she has found it to be. She is that extremely rare person, she is good and true right through. She is kind, loving, fun and, also makes the world a better place every day. Her desire is to grow better in the best possible way, and I believe this is the greatest desire of all.

“When nothing else makes sense, go back to the score.” So true. We forget why we went into this in the first place- the music.

"The world needs you, each of you. It is yearning, starving, dying for you and your healing offer of service through your art... stop taking things so damn seriously." The most joy-giving, uplifting, meaningful commencement speech I have ever heard. Gained strength from this. Thank you Joyce!

Joyce has long been one of my favorite singers, for her artistry and her lovely personality, This shows her amazingly thoughtful and articulate. Beautiful!

I went to an extremely expensive business school and my Commencement Speaker was a foul mouthed guy whose claim to fame was having sailed around the world. I think Ms. DiDonato's speech would have been more than welcomed by all there even if it was arts related vs. business (sailing business??? whatever). Bravo from someone who felt cheated out of a good speech on his day...
