She is CCM/GOSPEL SINGER of South KOREA and cancer survivor. .
She is one of the greatest vocalist in the world.But She wasn't known as well as popular because She sing for GOD and Comfort people who has hardtime Not for fame or money. ..In her youth, she turned down all offers from mega agencies for her beliefs...and now she is 42years old. .She has so many legendary live performances . She always sings with sincerity whenever and wherever. So it comforts those who listen to her song...That's why I love her...And her singing skills are the best, not to mention...
This performance is just tip of iceberg.. .
Sohyang is a South Korean gospel singer who survived uterine cancer, but after undergoing cancer surgery she lost the ability to father children, she has already refused several contracts from American labels including Michael Jackson, as her goal was never fame but rather transmitting God in her songs, if possible it makes her more reactions than RUclips releases, for me she is one of the greatest singers who have ever stepped on earth who follows her songs for a while knows this.

I didn't know a crying belt can be this beautiful and this heart-felt until I heard SoHyang sang this song.
She has the sweetest voice that can melt your heart and at the same time, it can be so powerful you can't believe it belongs to the same person.
In one word, she is the epitome of a complete package... the voice, mastery of techniques, stage presence, the delivery, and the looks.
Although she began to gather worldwide fame somewhat through the internet, she remains a humble sweet human being... God bless this lady.

If aliens came to invade earth, and they say give us one reason not to destroy you, I would send Dimash and Sohyang.
I love listening to Sohyang singing. I started listening to Dimash and shifted my direction to Sohyang. I got hooked by her voice, passion and soulful voice. I will never stop listening to her. She give me comfort and inspiration with her voice. She is a cancer survivor and devoted Christian. She is a gospel singer and an author fiction novelist- Crystal Castle and Anaxion. Too bad they don't have English version if not I will get hold of it. She is in her early 40s now. She doesn't go for wealth and fame but to inspire and comfort people with her singing. She does all the arrangement of her songs. I recommend my fav:
1) Arirang Alone (Immortal Songs 2 - singing competition) an unofficial national anthem song btw North Korea and South Korea longing for unification. It has English subtitle.
2) Lean on me ( Immortal Songs 2) a tribute to Michael Bolton

Just note that tv stations JTBC/ MBC/ KBS are very strict with copyright issues. I prefer you watch video from Vimeo instead of RUclips. I heard it is safer and moreover they provide English subtitle.

The PHENOMENAL So Hyang's English (speaking voice) is FLAWLESS. Whether singing in English or Korean, So Hyang is BRILLIANT at conveying the message/meaning of the song. Music is truly an international language. Her ANGELIC/POWERHOUSE vocals are EFFORTLESS, and her breath control is UNMATCHED.

Glad you made your acquaintance with Sohyang, who is an absolutely amazing singer we have the privilege of experiencing. I also blindly ran into her more than 4 years ago with this performance, and have never turned back as she became my favorite singer instantly.
Many can spend a lot of time talking about her impeccable skills and vocal techniques, but what you said in one sentence basically summed it up. "...she really gave me hope..." As you said, everyone has gone through dark times, this performance delivers the encouragement and inspiration for better days when you may be going through your darkest hours.

Listening from Canada ! Great reaction video! Must have missed this because I have seen a couple later videos! Followed this Angel for just over 8 years now and she is Amazing! What’s even better is that she is , in my eyes a Better Person , then a Singer! Wonderful Talented Lady ! Does pretty much all genres’ of music! She likes a challenge and is fearless !

2. Lean on me: This song was performed in front of Michael Bolton. After the performance, Michael Bolton said. Sohyang is on the level of a master. Sohyang said her wish is to do a duet with Michael Bolton here. Later, Michael Bolton invited Sohyang to his concert and performed a duet together. If you look at the video, you'll be able to see the incredible improvisation of Sohyang in the duet.

Critic of music has given her vocals are star rating the only Asian singer to accomplish this feat. She is amazing sounds like a angel and Disney princess character and can hit notes out of this world plus the fact she organises her own arrangements
Actually there are many asian singers out there who have great voices and can pull insane ranges , just that people and esp critics in the western world don't listen to them because they sing mostly in their native language instead of English. These singers are all across Asia from China to S Korea to Japan (East Asia) to Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia (SE Asia) to those in central asia to western asia. Western singers are not the only ones who have insane vocals. They are more well known because the english speaking ones sing in the lingua franca English that reaches a wider audience. You can search youtube for reactions to great singers and it will open up to a world of singers whose names you've never heard before that I daresay exceed Mariah Carey and what have you. I was blown away by the amount of talent out there we didn't know of . The wonder of youtube!

Sohyang Kim's vocal type is a Full Lyric Soprano. Her showcased vocal range spans
from D3 to A6 (consistent supported range from G♯3 to E6),a total of three octaves,
three notes and a semitone. According to Sohyang, the highest note she can sing is
an E♭7. This means that she has an overall range of approximately four octaves and

Ty 4 this friend. Did u think when your channel started, you’d see/hear vocalist from all over the world, (so impactful)? I 🖤 many diff artists, but only 3 - 4 that profoundly move me; (SoHyang being 1 of them).
SoHyang is 42, has gospel roots, is independent & a devout Christian who sings 2 comfort those in hard times, (& she’s had many...see Wikipedia). She’s 1 of the most famous vocalist who most haven’t heard of, (which is ok w/ her) but is well known & revered by many vocal experts & industry bigs globally.
This was just 1 performances, (she has many even better). For me it’s her kindness & humanity w/ the peace felt when she signs that draws me 2 her. 👼🏻
