Dude you're too kind thank you so much
Willem Verbeeck You are great photographer, you deserve a mention. Loved the fashion shoot, the colours were gorgeous, who needs digital when film can look so amazing. Your photos rock!
Filmnut Girl really means a lot thank you ❤️
please keep putting out more great content! I'm totally digging it!!
So glad for the release of Ektachrome. At least now if Fuji discontinue Provia and Velvia we still have one slide film left. In fact, the the Ektachrome release may cause a slide film resurgence and hopefully make Fuji reconsider.
Sure would be nice if Fuji stopped discontinuing film stocks!
these videos are such a great addition to the film community.
thanks! just trying to spread the love!!
Love watching these! Keep em coming
oh, dont worry! theyre gonna keep coming!!!
👍🏻You are back on the right side of the screen. Which leaves ample room for negative space. 👌🏻And I find respectful to your co-presenter✌🏻
There's no co-presenter. Just me...
Great video again, really loving these and finding out cool people to check out in the community. Since I tend to shoot low light stuff at sunset with landscapes I like to shoot Ektar, even though it's not a particularly fast film the colours it brings out when the sky is lit up right at the end of the day just look great.
Love these videos!! Creating a fantastic community around analogue photography!!
We're working on it! Growing every day!
Thanks Joey 😭😭 We gotta make a video together one of these days!
Hell yes we do! Soon!
Wow man, thanks a lot! I'm gobsmacked! Ilford 3200!
your video was awesome! fully enjoyed it!! Can't wait to explore you channel more, and see what your back catalog has to offer!
Thanks again Joey.
Another good one!
thanks so much Mike!
I like this video & how you highlight vids that you like around
Thanks so much! Glad you liked it!
Any expired film above 400 I got in my fridge haha!
Cinestill 800T for me! The weird red halos around light sources might not be for everyone but I quite like the effect, and I love the tungsten colour balance :)
Bloody love these videos man! Thanks for another feature amigo. Highly recommend the Hexar
Yaaa, now I wanna find one! Looks like a great shooter
Honestly, I get the best results with cheap films that I feel no pressure to make things perfect. In low light, probably Tmax? Daylight, I love Kodak Gold 200. I love those warm tones.
Another great wrap up, thanks for keeping the community up to date, my man.
thanks for watching!! See you next time!
Definitely Delta 3200 for low light, coupled with a 50mm 1.2 On my F3 it gives me opportunities at very low light. Keep up the vlogs - love ‘em!
Great video so far I have probably enjoyed the T-Max P3200 in low light the most. I loaded up my newly acquired yashica t4 super with some P3200 and shot my wedding reception. I got some awesome results. Delta 3200 is real nice in medium format as well. I took it camping this summer and shot it at 1600 turned out great.
nice! ive been hearing alot about the Delta shot at 1600, does it really cut down on the grain all that much?
AwesomeCameras there is a reduction in grain. I shot my last roll of delta in my Pentacon Six and it was pretty clean looking I could only see it when zooming in.
Miss those funky t-shirts
Thanks, man! Appreciate it :)
heck ya dude!~ keep the videos coming!!! would love to see some different film stocks shot through that Fujica!
Really like these videos! You still need to check out "Old Cameras" :D
Favorit film in low light is Lomographys CN800. Color is the way to go for me!
Old cameras is definitely on my sub list!
pushing HP5+ always has given me good result, and it's half the price comparing to Delta 3200 and Tmax p3200
TMax for me as well. If you are looking for ideas .... Any information about the least expensive way to develop. I am only doing black and white right now because I can do the negatives then do the scanning myself. I love film but it is spendy! Great channel, keep up the great work 👍
I have been planning on getting into the developing side of things... there are alot of options out there for developing. I have been sending most everything out to a lab lately, but want to experiment more with home development.
Nice one again dude! I was just watching Mango Street’s vid and Sam Elkins have his own RUclips channel worth watching ;) ... my favorite film to shoot in low light is Fujifilm Superia 1600
I'll have to check out Sam's channel! and everyone keeps telling me about the Superia 1600! how have I not tried it yet?!? I'll have to get on that!
AwesomeCameras you should definitely try it ese!
Just bought five super eight cartridges of Ektachrome direct from Kodak.
I shoot tri-x or Superia 1600 in low light
Do you push the Tri-x?
@@AwesomeCameras either that or I like shooting my point and shoot at night. Tri-x at box speed with flash is still gets me some pretty crisp and contrasty photos :)
I'm still super new to using film, so I've mostly avoided low light or any film higher than 400 bc I'm afraid it'll be too blurry or grainy. I just grab a tripod and extend the exposure time like a cheap skate.
nahhh, get something higher! give it a shot. you'll be surprised how easy it is, and how low of light you can actually shoot in with it!!
Lomo 400 at box speed works pretty good for me at low light saturations.
man, I havent shot Lomo film since they had a clearance on it at Urban Outfitters probably 6 years ago... I remember paying $1.95 for 3 packs of film, it was amazing!
AwesomeCameras Wow, right on! It would be nice if they do another sale like that. Lol
Thanks so much for the nice comments about my work (instagram.com/jza_tog/) really appreciate it!
A: Lately it's T-MAX 3200 (TMZ), often pulled to 1600 and soupled in XTOL. It's got grain but I find I like the contrast better than Delta 3200 (which for me at 3200 or 1600 has been a contrast monster with monster sized and very razorey grain). If it's not too dark, the look of HP5 at 800 is pretty sweet so it's my "sort of dark" film.
I need to try pushing some HP5. I dont know why I havent tried it yet?!?
Tri-X only Tri-X if I'm feeling it I'll push it to 1600 or just shoot wide open cause why but a fast lens ;)
Tmax p3200 in the fridge.. to scared to try it
Whaaaat!? Get out there and shoot it!
Don’t really shot in low light situations but if I have to give an answer
Good ole TriX pushed to 1600
Sounds like that's pretty common. May need to do. Video on that soon...
Superia/Natura 1600.. Raid your local pro photo shops cause it's drying up fast.
I'm on it!
I shoot Type-42 (bw russian aerophoto film) and develop with push
I'll have to try and find some of that film, Ive never heard of it!
HP5 pushed and developed in some good ol' microphen 😍
how far do you push it?
Usually 1600, but I have tried 3200 with usable results :)
Portra400 pushed to 1600 (and more?! Wha??) For the win every time!
Why Portra 400? and not push Portra 800? have you tried it? any difference?
No I haven’t tried pushing P800 TBH but from what I understand P400 pushes better. And it’s always given me gorgeous results. (My lab pushes via temp not time and that might make all the difference)
Kodak Tmax p3200
#shootfilmlikeabossgang
Im definitely with you on that!
I would shoot more natura 1600 if the film wasn't discontinued.
tri-x
Superia1600
I'll have to try that out! Still never shot it myself...
AwesomeCameras it’s amazing
whatever is in the fridge
That's been my policy as well lately :)
Thanks for the info I really like your channel. You should checkout Paul C Smith here on RUclips
Thanks for the suggestion! Hadn't seen that channel before! Good stuff
Enjoyed your video. I shot a good bit of low light on film. I like to use a Nikon FM because the viewfinder is easier for me to see in dim light, than some of my other Nikons. Normally I use an old 50mm F1.4 lens from the 1980s. I have been doing this for 40 years, but I still just an amateur doing it for fun not money. For shooting in bars or streets at night, I like to use Tri-X pushed to 1600 with Rodinal or HC-110. I have also used Ilford HP5 at times.
As for developing, I do a semi stand method. Rodinal 1:100 for 90 minutes gives me consistent 1600 speed.
I have examples of some photos I have taken and developed with this method, as well as detailed info on the developing, on my website. jefferyahoward.com
You have some great info on your site! I'm gonna have to try out that stand developing your outlined...
Really enjoy this series you recently started, fun to learn what's out there in the world! Don't hesitate to drop by my channel (and enjoy my Quebecer accent :P ), my latest video is about a wicked new camera that is available that very little people know about. Keep up the good work!
Subscribed!~! Derek just bought a camera similar to that! Is it from a guy in Italy? Regardless. we will have a similar camera that should be making an appearance on the channel at some point in the near future...
The Pali K6x14Vx is made in the US.. I think that the maker is in California if I'm not mistaken.. If you want more info, check out the webpage 6x14.netsoft2k.com/
Hey, great content! It would be such an honor to get featured sometime. Please check out my film content. Cheers!
Expired Tri-x
Shot at box speed?
Box speed and then pushed in development one stop. It's great! The results have been pretty consistent: contrast, grain and exposure is on point.
nice! I love hearing all the different processes!
Yeah man! I love the grain I get, it's awesome. Come down to Miami! Last I heard you were gonna make a trip?
