I just found you on Mike Rowe’s podcast. Thank you!!!
Me, too!
Same here. Watched Mike’s interview with Vinnie, immediately came here and subscribed.
I’ve been sugar and grain free, keto, for 6 years. I was 60 lbs over weight at 67 years old. I dropped the excess weight over 2 years of low carb then keto, now carnivore. At 74 I’m still at my ideal weight effortlessly and feel better and more physically active than I was at 64.
Same.
First meal is hamburger and eggs around 12 then around 6 I eat a nice steak around 7 to 8 oz ! And I’m never hungry!
How many oz of burger, how many eggs
3 to 4 oz of hamburger and 4 eggs
Me to! Organic ground beef patty, 2 eggs, pasture raised, and an ounce of cheese. 😋
I am new to you your program. I grew up eating nothing but vegetarian food. I am feeling much healthier by changing my diet by adding some meat and fish. Thank you!
My goal is to feel better.
Keep up the great work.
1. Fish
2. Chicken
3. Eggs
4. Red Meat
5. Some Vegetables
6. Some Nuts
7. Fruit Oils
8. Butter
9. Avocados
10. Olives
Love ALL these ❤ Yeah!
Thank you

I generally don’t think of anyone in the capacity of being hero-esque, but at the ripe age of freshly turning 39, I couldn’t be anymore grateful to have stumbled upon the films ‘FAT: A Documentary’ pt.1&2 and ‘Beyond Impossible’, to find you, my new personal hero. The knowledge you carry is powerful and life changing, not only for myself, but for all the lives you’ve touched and will spread to throughout into the future of humankind. I’ve waited 39 years to come along and finally find the holy-grail of truth. This is why I can call you a true hero! I can’t thank you enough!
Bethany, you are too kind!
I did keto and exercise for about a year at 63 yrs old. Lost 130 lbs and felt better than i ever did. I stalled at 220lbs and felt that i could lose more but could not. Then around the christmas holidays i started to cheat food wise and not exercising. Now months later i have gained 25 lbs back and not feeling good sbout it. A video with mike rowe and yourself came iin my feed as well as othes popped up and triggered me. I am now on the second week of sereverly limiting carbs and sugars. Eating 2x a day so i am back at it. I know that i know that I know these foods you suggested work at losing weight.
Proud to say i am back in the saddle to losing weight. Knowing now its a long slow journey but a good one none the less. Thanks Vinnie!
I appreciate you, Vinnie! Lucky for me to be a Mike Rowe fan because I was led to you and you showed me a simple way of eating that gave results. I lost 12 lbs in six weeks, mostly bloat from a high carb and sugar diet, and I didn’t feel deprived at all. I am 56 next month and have struggled with the peri menopause cravings and weight gain. My weight is stable now and where I would like to stay so I appreciate the info of examples of what you eat on a daily basis. Looking forward to your next podcast and video!
That’s how I got here!❤❤
Love ya Vinnie! You saved my life with this info 7 years ago. I’ve had my ups and downs over the years but I’ve never gotten too far off course and know exactly which way to go when I do. Keep this content coming. It’s awesome!
I’m an industrial network engineer and my first plant was a cotton seed oil plant. The whole place smells rancid. They super heat the oils and mix them with extracting chemicals. They are definitely rancid and broken down into trans fats from before bottling even takes place much less cooking.
I’m down 25 lbs in 60 days - thanks Vinnie!
Love it.
great short video!! I know some people can eat veggies. They destroy my gut. Bloating etc. I havent eaten one in over a year and I have never felt better
I've become so much better connected to what I put into my body after starting to watch your videos and reading your pdf. (and I'm losing weight doing it). I like it even more that you're not a doctor - you have a way of communicating, in common speak, how your body responds (i.e., hormones, etc) to sugar and grains. I've found it easier to understand than anything I've seen. Thank you!
I am glad you started making full RUclips videos. Thanks
Glad ur enjoying them. Stay tuned- theres a lot more to come
Excellent video! Can you do one on “Losing weight while eating at restaurants?” Like what would you order at a Sushi restaurant, Mexican, Italian, or Chinese restaurant? (OK, maybe Chinese is asking too much; since they likely put sugar and starches in every sauce!)
Thanks for the great idea! Yeah Chinese would be tough!
@@VinnieTortorichNSNG Chinese buffet is the easiest, I used to eat at one regularly. The steamed fish, peel and eat shrimp, beef and broccoli and some pork was OK. The fried foods are all full of seed oils, but in a pinch I have been able to eat them if I throw away the skin.
Met a friend for lunch, he picked the place. I had spicy ginger beef with bok choy , "no rice". No doubt cooked with seed oil and if that's less than once a month I can live with it.
What about tomatoes can I eat those often? I usually make my guacamole with tomatoes, onion, cilantro, avocados and lime.
What about olives? How often can I eat olives?
Should they be fresh or can they be canned with just vinegar, salt, water.
What about mushrooms? Are they good to eat often?
Thank you!!
You got it Vinnie. Thanks for saving lives! Never felt better!
Hi Vinnie. I just became aware of your channel and subscribed. I noticed some great information. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Fantastic! Welcome - we’re happy to have you onboard!
Great videos and now I see NSNG even clearer. Living it let’s me feel satisfied too
Yes to all of this! Your PDF sent me on a healthier path 4 1/2 years ago. Thank you, Vinnie!
Glad to hear it Marie!
Great video. This really explains how to eat and why. I only wish everyone would watch this is take this advice.
Root vegetables. Im a bit confused on this. My great grandparents and grandparents ate almost nothing but root vegetables like taro, cassava, yautia etc. They lived well into their 90s and never been fat. Its been in our diet since our indigenous times in the Caribbean.
What was their activity level? Society today barely moves much less exercises.
Thank you Vinnie. I appreciate you so much teaching me all about NSNG. It works and I have never felt better.
Keep up the great work Wendy.
A good way to eat more greens (kale included) Buy in bulk, wash and shred in food processor until it looks like parsley flakes. Then either freeze 2-4 tbl at a time.
Or, much easier/less space, dehydrate them and put into a reused spice jar. Half tbl equals about same of two tbl frozen.
Every time make something, add some greens to it. Looks like seasoning so my picky eaters get some minerals.
Bonus is if do the same with beets it turns anything with tomatoes a deep rich red.😊 Also great for the heart.
There are many more varieties of beets than just kind factories get sugar from. The greens are great too!
*Not a substitute for any seasoning. Blends in well
Argh, I missed cherries this year because I thought they’d be too sweet! We had a good season, too.
Great podcast
Great video !!!
Chicken eggs, what about duck eggs? I eat both but prefer duck eggs. Beef has been part of my life, at least 1 pound daily for almost 40 years. I grew up seeing all the "fat free" propaganda. Remember Snackwells? Used to laugh at those while I ate fatty meats and the fattiest dairy I could get. Eating lard was another thing I did for shock value along with raw liver. I hate veggies but have added it to ground beef to appease my health conscious parents. My rule was no leaves, stems, seeds or roots. Always saw seeds as toxic.
Duck eggs are just fine. And yes, SnackWell is an abomination.
As a cherry grower, please eat more fresh sweet cherries 🍒😊
Copy that Doug! Where do you grow?
@@VinnieTortorichNSNG Thanks! Eastern WA state
I grew up in the Midwest/ Great Plains and never ate fish. I despise it. Makes me gag. But I would love to learn to at least tolerate it for my health. Any recommendations for the best way to start?
what about dry wine and brut champagne? thank you
So true and u are right luv what you are doing
So true, nice work Vinnie! I'm a new subscriber and will be hanging out for a while. Carry on...
Highly appreciate and informative, thankyou
I like Brazil nuts, I like macadamia nut too but, these are hard to get that aren’t Rancid
For lunch in a diner, try a cheddar burger w a fried egg over easy. Nothing else. Have 2 eggs if you want. Works for me.
Love these videos.. Thank you, VT!
Glad you like them!
How many fruits can I eat per day?
Kalamatas are my favourites, too, Vinnie😊
I know this wasnt covered on the video, but Im on day 9 of keeping my carbs below 50 total carbs. I havent slept well in 3 days, its like an insomnia. Is that normal? Can I supplement with something to help me? Love all you do
That may happen at the beginning, but it should settle down. Taking magnesium at night will help.
Have a tbsp of butter. It helps me sleep like a baby. When you sleep sound that itself facilitates weight loss.
I am going through menopause and it works like a charm every time. 1-2tbsp of butter. I still lost weight.
@Vinnie...Kalamata for sure pizan!
They’re the best!
You said no citrus fruit. Can i have a squeeze of lemon in my water?
I lowered all my numbers, A1c, total cholesterol, ldl, tryglercerides on a all fruit, some veggies, nuts and seeds in 28 days. However, I did not find it long term solution.
This whole list is fantastic. The only thing that disappoints me is that I can't eat potatoes. I love potatoes. I even eat baked potato plain no butter or salt
Ironically butter and salt on a potato makes it marginally healthier
I am allergic to fish and just the smell of it makes me nauseous. I do take plant based omega 3, nuts and seeds…the fish eat plankton, so I am quite sure my supplements work for me. I was tested and I am in a good zone…
What about cottage cheese, feta cheese, blue cheese, etc.?
Lost 80 lbs..now stalled for over a year..how do i fix this?
I love only lard for deep frying
I think tallow is an even better choice
Thanks vinnie for your knowledge down 18 kg
Congratulations Darren - thats great. NSNG works!
We're being told that lard and beef tallow (especially grass fed) are making a comeback. How do you feel about that?
I have been taking one ounce of tart cherry juice to help with sleep and joint pain. It has helped with that. There is a noticable difference. Ive been trying to eat lower carb, this is one thing im still taking. Is it ok in the amount im ingesting? It is quite sour not very sweet pure tart cherry nothing added.
I got some Solaraybdark cherry capsules, didn’t make any difference. I love cherries, but figured they’re too sweet for this WOE.
What has happened to the you tube video of your podcast?
We actually put those on their own channel, you can easily search it out in Google. I won’t put a link here because it would just become confusing for everyone else.
I do neither carnivore nor plant based but a combination of all natural whole foods. I especially like grass fed beef and cage free eggs. Grass fed cows' butter too.
But I also eat a lot of vegetables and fruits too, and I have been steadily losing weight.
I love spinach. During the summer months I grow Egyptian spinach and Malabar spinach. Even though they are from the okra and beet families, these plants have great nutrients too, and they are good substitutes when spinach won't grow here in the summer.
I only eat dry roasted nuts. Unsalted too so I can use my own Celtic or Himalayan salts instead.
No seed oils!
I buy diet cola and then cut it 50/50 with water. I like it because this drink replaces alcoholic beverages 100%
Dairy fat is actually cardiovascular protective!
My husband asked what about lard? Bad or not
I think tallow is better and ranks with butter health wise
Ya, and the late dr. McDougall said we should eat as much sugar as we want…nothing wrong with it.
Nothing you have said is controversial to me! Been reading up on this for years….
Don’t forget to eat the egg shell. :)
Me love berries. Great list I wrote them all down in my phone notes so it’s easy to get and read Thanks
Love blackberries too!
Wow - keto for decades. I ditched all of your “healthy” veggies and all of my pain went away. So they weren’t all that healthy!
Think you mean the cartilage rather than ligaments…
We can’t afford much fish only Talapia
That is a bottom feeder junk fish. You'd be better off saving up for occasional salmon or cod.
Make sure your fish is wild caught!
Tree nuts only…
You lost me at “pizza is not a vegetable”.
More likely you should eat no food to lose weight.
Fiber is overrated, just ask any carnivore…..
Does Vinnie have two mouths. weird
adam sais "deserted island' theres no such thing as a "desert island". desert means theres no water
Deserted is not desert. One means no rainfall the other means no people.
