I just discovered correlle and am glad. After searching far and wide. Target. Walmart Williams Sonoma etc. I found in the supermarket. I wanted two rimmed soup bows one for home and one for office. I think anyone washing these in tight places should get them because hitting the hard surfaces around sinks etc these won’t chip! I broke a few regular porcelain ones and this makes sense.
I love the white frost Correlle. Been using mine since college. They never go out of style. And if I break one, which is pretty hard to do, I can easily replace the piece at any grocery store. I have a nice collection now. I also use a set of basic glasses that's easy to replace. Makes things much easier.
Living in Corning and having many relatives including myself , it was easy and economical to buy Corelle at the company store on Market St. at a discount back in the 60s and 70s. If a dish or bowl broke we could exchange it "no charge". The company would study the pieces to find out why it broke.
I purchased some of the small bowls to use as small mixing bowls for dressing and such. Light, pure white makes it easy to see the ingredients, they stack well and I can throw them around a little. I'm definitely interested in replacing my current dinner set at some point, so will consider these; just handwashing alone would be easier. I imagine seniors would like them due to their reduced weight.
Well I'm a die hard corelle lover. I have a red stripe pattern and then a bunch of white dishes I have purchased overtime. I'm suprised you guys have broken some...possibly we have broken 1 plate ever? And my kids always unload the dishwasher. I love that they are lightweight and nest really nicely in the cabinet.
I went to the goodwill today and found corelle dishes I really got lucky it was 12 dinner plates, 12 salad plates, 12 bowls, 12 saucers all for 5.00 now you can't beat that.
I ama die heart Cornell's user. We have provincial blue design. I bought the new hello kitty set. We all the matching corning ware in our pattern and the glasses. We also use the white ones to compliment our set.
That's a great idea to use white corelle. For my family we use stainless steel plates and bowls. That way they don't break and they go with everything. We don't really use a microwave so it doesn't cause us any issues.

Am looking for Corelle because I am older and broke my wrist and latest are very heavy for me.

I didn't know about that return policy, that must have gone away. That would be so cool.
Another RUclipsr said IKEA has a similar product for less than a dollar a plate. Tested and approved
I haven't heard of that. I will have to check it out!
Any idea about the 3 dots in the Corelle logo?

I think I am finding that we are breaking more bowls than plates.

That sounds like an amazing deal!
If your dishes are vintage, research corelle dishes and lead before using just to be sure they are safe.
Corelle has the white in 12 pc set, no mugs. Just bought 3 sets for our lake cabin, $29.xx per set at Wally’s. $2.47 per ea. piece
I like the trees and the paint splatters.
The paint splatters are really fun also!

I didn't even know they had Hello Kitty ones! That sounds fun!
@@laina-brown they have Spider-Man for boys. You can buy a single serving set on their website for your son. He would love it

Stainless steel should last forever! That would work great for us if we didn't microwave.
I just ordered 48 pieces online directly from Corelle for Black Friday and it was less than $150 because of the 30% off sale
That sounds like a great deal!
What was your favorite pattern? I'm thinking maybe mine was the trees.
Old Town Blue
The corelle with the color still contains lead... Only purchase the all white dishes....no color.
I checked out Amazon however Walmart has them for less money
I will have to check out Walmart the next time I'm there!
@@laina-brown I ordered mine on the Walmart app on line
you're pretty cute, keep up the good work!
Walmart (:
