Everybody who suffered at the hands of the Council Employees in Dyson Hall should come forward with their experiences. The story needs to be told what went on behind locked doors.

In 1994 (i think) Police invesstigated the alleged abuse at Dyson Hall which resulted in several shithouses going to jail (look up Phillip Savage).

Thanks for bringing this to everyone's attention, Billy. My younger brother was put in this unit aged 9. Ripped from our house by social worker and police. He cried and screamed that day. He was badly traumatised but he fought, struggled and clung on to doors until exhausted he could fight back no more. He was terrified, mate. It traumatised the whole family tbh. I was twelve and went with me mum to visit him a few weeks later. When we saw him he'd been beaten up by the older lads in there. He was just fucking 9 years old and lads 13-15 years old robbed him and beat fuck out of him. They were just cunts and the staff did fuck all to help him. In fact the staff would hit him and taunt him too. That first visit I'll never forget. There he was bruised swollen head, black eye, split lip. He was anxious and shook up by it. When it came time to go he was quietly begging me mum to take him home but she couldn't. He settled over time and started fighting back and learned to be a bit clever and sneaky in order to survive. He absconded twice and was isolated for it, which meant being alone, deprived of clothing and footwear; and then he'd be getting slapped about too by staff or by older lads who were goaded and rewarded by the staff. Later in life he tried to make good in the building game; but, he was permanently scarred by that place. It was a case of drink, drugs and violent out burst whenever he felt threatened or disrespected. He's still struggling today now in his mid fifties. Witnessing all of this has broken my heart I can tell you. May God watch over him and all who have suffered like him. And this is supposed to be a civilised society. Civilised my arse!

It was over 40 years ago so can't remember exactly how it came about but I played in an inter school five a side competition in Dyson hall but what I remember clearly to this day is the feeling of just......bad things/wrongness about the place. Felt like being in some dark horrible hole and we all felt the same. Locked doors and god only knows what was going on behind them.

Feels a little more unsettling when closer to home, these vile so called adults did what they did. Lived in the areas they did and no one would have believed the kids in there. Very sad.

He got sent there cus he was an hard kid an charged with loads of violence cus fighting against bullies in speke in the 80,s. He got sent to Dyson hall and came out a completely different kid. He said he was fighting every single day with the screws an other kids. When he came out he was changed an was turned into a violent animal an then has spent a lot if his life in mental institutions an jug. I list me best ever mate when he went in there. I still think of him an are boss funny times 30 years ago. Hope i meet kev meyler from speke some time again in me life. If he's alive.

Them secure units were dodgy as fuck. I had a childhood freind he was like my little brother and they threw him in one in Birmingham for literally nothing. They had those 2 evil shits that took Jamie Bulger in there at one point. So my mate I went to visit him soon as I could and I said how are you Tommy and he just cried and was shaking in fear. He said couple things an I stood him up and said you can cime home and just walked him out the doors past the nonce social worker's I told em stay back for your own good and then two fat four eyed lumps on the main door was literally cowering like rats guilt all over them. We got away and he never had to go back but kid was never the same was dead before he was 20 and the kid wouldn't hurt a fly. RIP TOMMY WALKER. ❤

Those places were never designed to rehabilitate, they were put in place to punish and install fear into young people.
Staff that didn't care about changing the futures of young lives.
It breaks my heart to see and hear this.
In today's system where do you draw the line between punishment and rehabilitation. Working on the root causes to why young offenders behave the way they do, instead of creating fear in them, passive aggression and giving them no future opportunities upon release.

Thought it looked just like Callington road mental unit Brislington Bristol there are at least five of these places in Bristol where the Dutchy of Lancashire co workers Sajid Javid and his mate Monica Jones and their political intentions to harm for profit the Callington road conducts sexual and violent assaults on people every day aided by the police its horrific the Doctor told someone they have Legionnaires in the filtering system in the roof they can not clear it and it is still open for victims they employ young immigrant religious men to follow young girls and women around film them on their cams and generally abuse them the police and security pass around the filming of sexual assaults and bondage events for personal gratifications you can draw a line from Lancashire to Bristol and the cities along the way to see the abuses conducted social worker Chris james Bayley senior would have worked with the Jones both now in their elghties that were active in the under generations demise to put his son same name and area in charge for the theft of a family relative misconduct in office victims still alive
