Tiong Confirms Sabah's Full Control of MM2H Program

Federal Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture, Dato Sri Tiong King Sing and Sabah Minister of Tourism, Culture and Environment, Datuk Christina Liew, emphasized the delegation of full authority over the Sabah-Malaysia My Second Home (Sabah-MM2H) programme to the state. With this transfer of authority, the Sabah-MM2H programme will be supervised by the Sabah Ministry of Tourism, Culture, and Environment, allowing the state to establish its own terms and conditions. The move provides the ministry with the autonomy to process applications and issue the MM2H pass to successful applicants. This cooperation underlines the commitment to improving the management of MM2H and Sabah-MM2H programs, ensuring the state's ability to oversee data participants’ applications and enforce its version of the program. Therefore, this change allows Sabah to implement its own policies, making the Sabah-MM2H program more tailored and unique, ultimately providing the state with the ability to offer a customized MM2H experience within the state, thereby driving new opportunities and tourism prospects for the region.
