Spent 2 years there in the Navy, 72-73. I liked Shinjuku playing pachinco (spelling) My food was miso ramen, and yakisoba. I stayed in a very old house with rice paper doors on the inside. There was a cave in the back that was used during WW11.

When I went to Japan, August 2019 I had to go to a fluffy pancake place. Their fluffy pancakes are soooooooooooo amazing. Like a little fluffy cloud out heaven lol.

Everything looks so beautiful and clean! I've been dyinggg to try those fluffy pancakes. I love dogs, but going to a cafe full of them sounds like a lot (especially when you mentioned choking on all the fur lol)

🥞 So fluffy! I had the soufflé pancakes at Innisfree Cafe in Seoul and they were scrumptious 😋. I will definitely have to try them in Tokyo when I return there. Thanks for the cafe recommendation.
