  • It is time to plant bamboo!! In three days we planted all 2,256 plants and spread mulch on the fourth day. From start to finish the process really went smoothly.
Moving forward, we are monitoring the plants daily and applying water and fertilizer to promote growth. More details on caretaking coming in later videos.

The company is smart. They don’t let u plant running bamboo.. because if u plant running, then they don’t get to sell as many starter plants like clumping bamboo. With flat land like yours, is easy to control running bamboo. When they’re mature, running and clumping bamboo are the same. You get the same shoots and the same cane. But u spend little money planting running VS. Clumping.

@@seanchao7622 with AI and architects in socal, I can gross 260k annually from bamboo (multiple product streams) out of my 5.5+ acreage, and when integrated via a permaculture lens, $980k+ US through all of the under stories. Putting aside all the benefits that bamboo can bring to a depleted ecosystem is the very thing that can turn the planet around in a positive trajectory (so, if I radically impacted snowpack, and brought back trickling streams throughout California for instance, then California might go underwater again).
      Food for thought.

Check the temperature on the black plastic. Black absorbs heat, white (sand) reflects. Your black plastic also slows the oxygen and water into the soil, it also causes your mulch to oxidize faster, as well as not letting it feed the soil below. Other than that dawg it’s strait fire man I dig it

How did you learn how to grow bamboo? I noticed in your first video that you already have another 6 acres of bamboo already growing when you make a video of this 2nd set of bamboo growing...so where did you get the knowledge of growing bamboo on the first set? Did you use certain company to guide you thru the first time, self taught or etc?? Thank you.

As far as I know, the way to plant bamboo is to need a hole with the appropriate depth to plant

As the plants mature, we will have a harvest of shoots every year. Staggering is not necessary since the harvest does not cut down the whole plant.

@@12vLife Asper is not the best option for a privacy hedge because it is a timber bamboo that grows tall with large diameter canes. Bambusa Malingensis is one of the most common privacy hedge bamboos around FL. The common name for it is Seabreeze Bamboo.
