I really like this guy! He explains every thing. I got the DJI mini 2 SE bc of him and extra battery. But I don't have a phone to fly it so now I'm thinking about sending back . Can't afford the phone that's compatible with the DJI mini 2 SE. But this guy is the best.

Thank you. I'm new to drones. The last aircraft I flew was fly by wire. We had engines and could only fly by holding a spindle that had special string attached to the model. We fly in circles, literally. This is so exciting, and about the same relative cost, but much more dynamic and versatile. Safer too.

I never know there was supposed to be a height limitation, but I guess that makes sense from a safety standpoint. Maybe you found a bug, check to see if they fix in a future update. Great guide for beginners on the Quickshot modes. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you. I've never had any problems flying over cell phone towers or powerlines. That's just my experience though, I can see how it could be a problem.👍
The radius of the circle definitely changes as it executes the maneuver. AFAIK the only way around this is to widen the radius to reduce the perceived variation.

This was really helpful. I have a new Mini 2 SE and tried to do quick shots the other day. The quick shot menu wouldn’t stay on for me to select any of them. It would just flash and go away. Was hoping you were going to recreate that when you did your low level experiments but I guess that wasn’t my problem. (I don’t think I was lower than 2m anyway but was still hoping that was my issue.) I’ll have to try again, this weekend. I’m sure it’s user error somehow. I still got a lot out of this video though, Marcus!
Thank you! Make sure you have a micro SD card installed in the drone. If you don't the QuickShots menu won't appear.

mini 2 se right joy stick pitching backward (toward the operator) will bring it back to me or move away from me. The reason I am asking this very important question is to determine the forward, backward movements are with respect to opeator (course lock) or with respect to the front position of the drone?
If the drone is facing away from you, pulling the right stick back will bring the drone back to you.
Suggesting to share on how to edit the video and post on RUclips?

Hello my co-worker buy mini 2 se and we tryed to do quickshots but when we press the ikon where you have the menu for chousing photo video and quickshots it doesnt open the menu it just switch betwen camera and photo can you give me some tip does the quckshot has to be enabeld in settings before he can use it

If you don't have an SD card inserted in the drone, the QuickShot menu will not appear. 👍
Can this drone be set to do multiple circles instead of only one circle? If not, is there a drone that can do continuous circles, and maybe slower circles?
If there is a way to make it do multiple orbits I don't know what it is. QuickShots just does one.

Yes, you can. The pause button will stop the drone in its tracks. 👍

No registration is required for a sub-250g drone. 👍
I was flying today, I hit RTH and instead of just coming home it went to a fixed point and just hovered there, what is going on ? do I have to adjust something in the menus? Rob
In the safety menu you can tell the drone what to do when initiating RTH. You may have inadvertently changed the home point and told the drone to hover rather than land.

I bought my first $100 drone from Canadian Tire 5 years ago. Took it up in the air for the first time and the wind blew it away into the forest. LOL. I did find it after a few hours and able to get it. Fortunately the signal was still connected but weak. Stronger as I got to it, stuck in a tree 30 feet up.
I waited and waited, finally invested in a DJI mini 2 SE- great video man.

Yes, you must have a memory card inserted for the QuickShots to show.
I tried in the house and quick shot wont come up. But out doors it goes.
What's the app to make sure you're allowed to fly ?

Why doesn't mine bring up the quick shot menu? DJI mini 2 se. It switches back and forth between recording and picture; also my button below the capture is grayed out and I don't understand
If you do not have a micro sd card installed, the QuickShot feature does not work.
@@IdahoQuadcopter ah thank you, last time I tried formatting my sd card it wouldn't let me so I guess it's installed into the drone but not formated like it's supposed to be. I know I have the correct type of sd card and it looks good so I'm hoping I don't have to return anything lol

Make sure you have an SD card installed. The drone will not do QuickShots without it.
They should tell you if you don't have the phone that's compatible with DJI mini 2 SE, you can't fly it .
If you have an Android phone don't forget that you can download the app direct from DJI. I hope you get it working.

Just bought 1 and love it and im a newby.... my only issue is it doesnt have follow which i thought it did when buying it
DJI never puts tracking on any of their drones that do not have obstacle avoidance.

@@IdahoQuadcopter are the mini 2 se drones waterproof? I wouldn't fly it in the rain but wondering what would happen if I had it in the air and it started to rain before I could land it.... I can't find any specs from dji on this matter
