I bought a 19 in 2010 from Bill. I run on the Wisconsin River between the Castle Rock and Wisconsin Dells dam. It’s a sand bottom river m. I’m running a 115 étec . Great boat. I often Slide Over sand bars that are a 20’ wide. At speed with no problem. I’m thinking about getting a new 21. Nice video thanks
I’ve had two Flats Cats now. A 1992 21’ and now a 2023 21’. These boats are absolutely amazing. The boat 100% sells itself. My dad and two uncles are proud Flats Cat owners as well. I think I’ve been on about every brand out there and I’m a lifer for the Flats Cat. Chris is a stand up guy and extremely sharp. The customer service from his company is unmatched.
i am interested in this boat & intend to sea trial near term but would you mind sharing your perspective on how the 21' flats cat performs in some deep, choppy river / bay water. I need to cut across or go through this type of water in order to access most flats I am interested in fishing. thank you
The 21’ takes chop like nothing. Obviously, when going through bigger waves take more caution. When I go through bigger waves I like to try to match the speed of the waves and hit them at a 45 degree angle. I’ve had better luck with the Flats Cat than many other Bay boats in rougher water. I hope this helps.
I need to replace the deck on my '75 Aquasport 170 and I was thinking of using 1/2" Nidacore with tapped aluminum backing under the console and helm seating/leaning but this "K-300" has me intrigued. I Google K-300 and I'm having trouble finding it. I thought, at one time, to use Coosa but from what I understand it too can allow screws to work loose. Can you tell me who makes K-300, maybe a link? 🤔 Would be appreciated 🫡 11:02 I like that diamond stitch 👍
That background music really kills the audio! Recording folks talking with typical factory noises is tough enough. At the 15:00 mark music finally stops. Looks like an interesting Flats boat. Be well.
Congratulations Mike.!!! I hope your new adventures are very prosperous. I personally believe Flats Cat is an awesome boat and isn't it funny to think that a boat will outlive you.? "Tight Lines and Full Limits To Ya"
Very informative video, but I would tone down on the background music a little bit. It gets a little annoying, and I’d rather hear what they have to say versus background music.
The tunnel under the boat forces water up to the prop allowing you to run much shallower. If you stop, half the prop is out of water but while moving water is pushed above the prop.
My Yamaha g3 tunnel Dlx will run in 2 inches of water; I have setup the bottom of my skeg to be level with the bottom edge of the boat, putting my prop completely above water; the forced water from the tunnel compresses water and directs it to the prop.

Awesome. Thanks for watching!
Chris Mapp is a stand up guy. Excited to see what he does with Flats Cat Boats.
I agree! Chris is a great guy.

Looks like an interesting Flats boat.
Be well.
How would a boat like this be in Florida inland lakes? How would this compare to a bass boat? Any advice is appreciated.
Ive never fished inland lakes but this boat excels in shallow running and stable performance.
Florida lakes moon raker taggt 6.5 foot draft
Do you have any owners in the SWFL area? I would really like to see one in action....
What manufacture is the support pole for your trolling moter?
StayMo
I think I want one. 21’
Im getting one built now. If you have any questions or would like to take one on a demo, please let me know. I can definitely get you set up.
How smooth is it in the chop?
Like every other boat bumpy

Ohh wow SeaArk stole this boats name!
Next time turn of music when interviewing!!! Please
Most people can afford a boat go get old trihull with trailer and put new 25on it out door for five years under 8000 with like new boat
That’s one option but definitely won’t be able to perform like a flats cat.
2in water huh? The prop to motor is bigger than 2 inches, if you don't put prop in water no way to get up on plane
