In fact, presidents Johnson and Kennedy both warned the world about the problem of global warming. Their voices were continually suppressed even today. So many Americans are still in denial. This says a lot about why the US is so behind in such a lot of things. They still haven't aligned their priorities in a productive way, and continually pursued dominance rather than self improvement.
