Yeah, but there's a bit of conjecture in there. How would he know if we fly them or not? Does he know the secrets of all black ops? Since several were seen and filmed flying over area 51 in the eighties, how is it that we don't have them in our possession? Either we back engineered them or the German scientists before WW2 invented them, and the Russians took them out of Berlin, and we got over 1200 in Operation Paperclip. My friends and I saw one off the coast of L.A. back in 1976. So, in over 50 years, people have kept the secret, either way. Well, not the claimed Air Force pilot who flew them and released a book detailing it all, which I read in 1981 while in Australia.

This guy actually gave a real scientific answer and was not afraid to go into hypotheticals.

    • @101yak

Neil is not a physicist, he does not even have a degree in physics, he is an astronomer. Michio is an actual physicist who has studied physics his entire life. The truth can be established by special methods of Open-source intelligence (TEXT MINING). Consider the use of "flying saucers" (UFOs) as a means of delivering atomic weapons. This is very important and relevant, due to the fact that air defense is sharpened against ballistic missiles and aircraft, and UFOs calmly overcome them. The risk threshold has decreased - an atomic war may begin.
It was the phenomenon of such devices in the late 80s that frightened the leadership of the USSR. All these "UFOs over Krasnoyarsk", "UFOs over Perm" + the explosion of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant... Therefore, the leaders of Communist Party went to an honorable surrender...
However, for 30 years, the Russian Federation has been able to bring its electrokinetic flying machines to mind, and now there is panic in the United States - unknown objects are flying over the territory of both NATO and the United States. They have something to be afraid of: such combat UFOs will successfully deliver nuclear bombs to decision-making centers and enemy missile silos, bypassing air defense.

My exact thoughts. How much arrogant do you need to be in order to say "that breaks our laws of physics, so it didn't happen!!!". The universe doesn't care about your laws of physics, neither about what you think is logical. These things are much more developed than us, the physics that they use is who knows how many thousands, or millions of years ahead of us. The evidence is clear (Varginha Brasil 1996, Ariel school Zimbabwe 1994, pilots, anti aircraft crews all over the world etc.), these things are here, flying in their saucers and other crafts. If that goes against your logic, it only proves that your logic is wrong.

I have the same impression about their "spacecrafts" that Joe Rogan has. I have heard Joe say "it is like pointing a laser to mess with a cat, that's how these UFOs move" (I am paraphrasing). Indeed, the way they move and behave, it is as if they are extradimensional things projected into our 3D space. We only see the 3D side of them. Maybe it is not extra dimensions, but something which is in some sense similar to dimensions. That would explain the way they move.

Yes, because advanced aliens would definitely make themselves visible flying around. As a pilot, I can tell you that 99.99999% of this stuff is easily explainable, the few that aren't? What are the odds it's aliens? Very, very low. That doesn't mean that aliens or other civilizations don't exist. Just saying it's extremely unlikely they are visiting us. He then told me this "thing" started to project red light down onto the road. This took place on the danish countryside in the late 60's near a very small town called Enslev, Djursland. He told me this out of nowhere during one of our random conversations about the mysteries of life. I was so fascinated by his story, and honestly I got chills when my digitally isolated father just indirectly confirmed the validity of several stories/sightings i've read or heard about throughout the years. He said he couldn't see anyone looking out of the windows, but he could see there were some kind of lights on inside. He said it appeared out of nowhere, hovered over him for a few seconds, then took off into the sky and was out of sight in just 2 seconds. He was never the type of guy who would lie or exaggerate or joke around either. So I believed that he truly believed that. But since he was only 10 at the time, maybe he had a wild imagination and just convinced himself it was true over the years of telling the story. Why would it need windows? I would think it would have some kind of sensors and cameras that would display the images from outside the ship on a viewer screen like the one in Star Trek. And if it was an unmanned drone, there would definitely be no need for windows. I'll need to see one myself to be 100% convinced it's true, but who knows? Maybe it is.🤔

Q-anon followers got scammed using the internet, fake Indian call centers and fake princes in Nigeria scam inexperienced people on the phone.
Way back in the 1800s, scammers were selling fake medicinal elixirs to inexperienced people. There is one of them portrayed in the movie The Outlaw Josey Wales.
Politicians lie and scam the public over and over...and yet people keep voting them back into office.
There are mega-churches and televangelists who scam people out of their money using their faith as a tool.
In The Wizard of Oz, the traveling scam artist/thief named Professor Marvel that Dorothy meets just before the tornado, becomes the wizard during her dream, scamming and lying to the people of Oz to maintain his power and authority over them.
People like Graham Hancock, Brien Forester, UnchartedX, Bright Insight, Randall Carlson and others like them are the “wizards” of the “alternative history” personality cults that thrive on RUclips these days…scamming inexperienced people, telling them all about “advanced ancient high technology" and “ancient lost civilizations.”
The hardest thing for most of the victims of RUclips pseudoscience is to face the idea that they might be getting duped in the first place. Ignorance carries a very big stigma in today’s information driven, modern world and so facing the very idea that we have been wasting our time following a lie, is naturally going to be hard for us to accept.
Plato discusses this in his allegory of the cave, how most people are not only comfortable in their ignorance about a subject they have formed an opinion on, but will fight with you and get angry at you if you try to give them new information and attempt to challenge what they have already been led to believe in.
The world is full of scammers…and inexperienced people getting scammed. There is also plausible denial…and so they will always have an excuse…about their ignorance.

I witnessed the Phoenix Lights event in 1997 and it was a massive,I mean massive, solid craft.
My brother and I went up on the mountain across the street from our house, which was on 24th street and Shea Blvd if you are familiar with Phoenix. The reason we went up there was ,it was the best night to see the Halle-Bopp comet and this is a reason that so many people witnessed the "Phoenix Lights". Because people were already looking up towards the night sky. We didn't know which direction the comet was going to be coming from so my brother was facing NW and I was facing SE. My brother says "WTF is that"!!! I turned around and noticed a set of lights coming towards us. Asit got closer we noticed that it had structure to it. It was a boomerang shaped craft with 3 lights on its bottom side with a bigger amber colored one at the tip. It was completely silent until the left "wing" came directly over or heads. It was about a football field above us. We heard but mostly felt a buzzing/humming sound like that of a powerline transformer. It also had some sort of distortion around it like when you pump gas into your vehicle and you see the fumes distorting the air around the gas nozzle. It was a ominous feeling to see something of that size,it was incredibly massive, just gliding through the night sky. It was maybe going 15-20 mph,its difficult to judge speed or distance at night but that's my best guess. I don't know what it was or where it came from but when it was directly above us something in my gut told me hat this craft was not from here. Thousands of people seen this craft. Our governor at the time Fife Symington also seen it and years later when he was ot off office he came forward and said that it was like Camelback mountain, which is a big famous mountain in Phoenix ,was gliding down Scottsdale Rd. Fife is a former Airforce pilot and he was stunned to see something that big floating through the night sky. Its been 25 years,I was 20 years old at the time of this event, and I have been looking up towards the night sky every night ever since that night hoping to see something like that again.I feel extremely lucky to have gotten a chance to see something like that at that close of a distance. I know what i seen was a solid object and that thousands of witnesses weren't hallucinating. I can still close my eyes and picture that craft. It was freaking amazing

It's the fact that it doesn't cause massive fireballs whenever it moves through our atmosphere at those high speeds. Or when it sinks below the water seemingly without interacting with it. If these are real phenomenon, something very different is going on than any conventional means of moving through space would allow, never mind the specific mode of propulsion.

I love Michio. Guy thinks centuries ahead to all kinds of possibilities. He doesn't say aliens are visiting as a certainty, but he accepts that they are nonetheless a real possibility. This is unlike most public figure physicists, like Neil Degrasse Tyson, who stick their head in the sand and absolutely refuse to accept that even as a remote possibility because it would break OUR understanding of physics. But until a little over a century ago, people thought Einstein was full of it because he said Newton was wrong. Today, we KNOW that our understanding of physics is incomplete because our two most tested and proven theories, General Relativity and Quantum Mechanics, don't get along at all. So thank you, Michio, for being one of the few dissenting voices working in physics that accepts possibilities rather than living in denial.

I think hes failing to talk about the most obvious dilemma. He mentioned that at those G forces, human bones would crush.
So would the material the craft is made out of.
To move at such a velocity alone without falling completely apart from air resistance is unfeasible. Not to mention their capability of stopping at a dime.
The air to us feels non existent... unless you stick your hand out of a fast moving car.
The faster you travel the more viscous it gets , relatively speaking.
Imagine something travelling through water at 5000mph.. movement that fast of even a dime sized object alone would evaporate the water instantly and then you would have sort of an air bubble around that you would be travelling in. Lets just pretend its an "air" bubble since im trying to make an analogy here.
Try to use this example to understand that travelling so quickly through air, could create a vacuum bubble of sorts.
I'm no physicist but i guess that would be potentially completely WRONG interpretation of our laws of physics and thermodynamics but it does dumb it down to where i can imagine it and make some sort of rational sense of what the glaringly obvious technology in question is.
Some sort of anti gravity device that allows a field to be generated around the craft itself making it impervious to outside elements.
That makes me think of atoms ! :)
Ive long posited that all the mysteries of the universe would much quickly get solved if scientists tried to look at things with much more emphasis on SCALE.
This will be tricky to explain without drawing but i did in fact draw it and pose a question to one of my college professors over a decade ago.
I drew a small circle to represent the proton of an atom.
Then i drew a small dot few inches away.
Then i asked.. is it possible.. that since the atom is so small.. and since its travelling SO FAST .. that to us its just a force field ?
Imagine one electron moving so fast around a proton that from our point of view.. its literally everywhere at once, like an electric bubble surrounding the proton.
Could that be thats why we have this idea that its location depends on whether we observe it or not ?
I believe that our observance of it plays no role in its location , it is simply travelling so stupidly fast that it ACTUALLY is wherever we try to look for it.
On top of this i asked, where does the energy come from for this electron to infinitely travel and such immense speed and why it never stops.
He said, i was looking for answers to the mysteries of the universe.
We figured out we can split the atom and blow shit up but it stopped there , at least in terms of anything productive as far as i can tell.
Wish someone could explain things to me so i don't sound so stupid when i make these comments or when i wonder about these things.
I Found this when googling :
Using these values along with the dielectric constant of free space to be 8.854 x 10 {+-} {+1}{+2} Farad per meter, it is possible to make an estimate of the speed of the electron in the circular orbit of the hydrogen atom to be about 2.188 x 10 {+6} meters per second or 2188 km/sec
Thats not too far off from what we claim to be the speed of light and whos to say that we even measured it correctly. Or if we did.. is it possible that other atoms of other elements have much faster moving electrons ? What about elements we haven't even encountered ?
We should be focused more on atoms and on speed relative to size.
Why doesn't the electron make a sonic boom ? =)
Im hoping one day someone can educate me , even if only to make fun of me.

That's because Michio is a theoretical physicist. It's literally in his job description, and lots of theoretical physicists deal with and think about issues like the ones in this video with an incredibly open mind.
Lots of experimental physicists (the other kind) won't "discredit because it sounds crazy", but rather they just spend their time testing hypothesis that are actually testable. That's in *their* job description. Because they are dealing with practical problems in the now -- things that can actually be experimented on. They don't deal with hypothetical topics that cannot be actually put to the test.
That being said, all scientists are people too, and some of them definitely have biases like you're alluding to. It's just that playing around with "wild" hypothetical situations like this one fall more into the line of work that Michio does, and aren't really applicable to most other physicists. So I think it's pretty reasonable that lots of physicists aren't quite as "open minded" (as in spending most of their time thinking about aliens, alternate dimensions, the Kardashev scale , etc.). But I assure you there are LOTS of theoretical physicists that are just as open minded as Michio, and just as fun to listen to!

I don't. Out of all the science popularisers, Kaku is the worst. He sensationalises things, talks about speculative ideas as if they are established fact, hypes are crazy ideas etc... Worst of all, if you watch him for about 90 mins, you never need to watch him again. He has an approx 90 min mantra, that he repeats in every single interview.
Stick to Brian green and Sean Carroll in my opinion.

You shouldn't. He lies about his accomplishments and contributions, and exaggerates quite a bit. He speaks to areas of science like an authority when he doesn't have a clue. He's been called out by hundreds of scientists and colleagues for getting a LOT wrong and he refuses to course correct. He's trying to be a celebrity and cash in because he was a nobody prof at a relatively unknown college.
In the case of this interview, he gets a LOT 100% wrong. The UFO videos he's referring to where proven to be optical illusions. This video proves and illustrates how and why they are optical illusions.

When Michio Kaku talks about UFOs as alien visitors, you know it's getting serious, and to the point of making it real.

    • @r.davidsen
      @r.davidsen 2 года назад +10

@btwgrfqfeqfew That's what I was thinking too, once upon a time. It's not exactly how he currently talks like, as shown in the documentary he's promoting. You also have to take into consideration that he's deep into quantum physics and membrane theory, where pretty much anything is possible. It seems to me he's much more open to the subject than he used to be. If you asked him 10 years ago, he would agree with you, but in every recent interview I've seen, he has changed his opinion in some regards, as most scientists do when there is, as he said, multiple sources of proof.

His ability to relate to things he’s learned in a ‘real-world’ sense is truly impressive. Without a doubt has helped me in college from a motivational standpoint when I was *down on the amount of work Calc 3 & Diffy Q presented. Not too long after (if you genuinely search and put in the time) to learn you will reach a point where things don’t start to add up. If the diameter of the Earth is roughly 25,000 miles for instance that would bring the curvature 8 inches for every mile traveled. The problems associated w/ a propulsion based engine traveling in a vacuum. And many others start to add up. The fact that 60 years after we went to the moon, Elon and co. & NASA (literally stands for ‘DECEIT’ in Alphanumerics) next mission is still questionable as to what that is and at this point their timeline of Mars is just a budget-black-hole that would take decades if not another 50 years at the very least. At this point, it doesn’t matter if you think I’m an alien, the Earth is flat, or the world is a simulated game…if you haven’t caught on to the ‘Elites’ plan and called BS on all this…you are so far behind idk where to start. You must know at the very very least you are being played.
