FS Thunderbolt 1003 Plant Siren Test With Ambiance, Lawrenceburg, IN

- 30 second blast of the Thunderbolt 1003 on top of the old Seagrams Distillery Complex in Lawrenceburg, IN. I've been past this siren numerous times over the years and is was up until last month I always thought It was abandoned in place. Turns out its still active but used as a plant siren and not tied with Dearborn County's weather siren system. To my knowledge this is the only active Bolt in Southeastern Indiana. There is another 1003 in Moores Hill at the Fire Dept. but a new FS 2001-130 now stands next to it as the current weather siren. That bolt is still standing currently, but may be decommissioned unless its used as a backup or a firecall siren who knows. It surprised me that Dearborn Tested at noon since I always thought they tested in the evening on the first Wednesday. A bit after 12:00 you hear the Distillery PA system activate with a few tones and a message regarding the siren test followed by 2 alarm tones before the Bolt spools up. You also hear Dearborn's 2001s fire up at the same time with the PA System which I could only pick out 2 different sirens. The lower pitched one likely being the SRNB along US-50 in front of the Fairgrounds/Speedway. The higher pitched I believe is a new 130 coming from Greendale proper. I have not personally laid my eyes on it, but according to Google Maps Aerial View A 2001 now stands in place or perhaps next to the old STH-10 on Mary Ave. Streetview still shows the STH in place but the image is a few years old. Dearborn County sirens run a 3 minute alert, you can barely hear them wind down before I zoom out at the end of the clip. Enjoy!

Being a plant siren they may only test at noon but good luck!
Glad there's still a few of these dinosaurs around. I thought for sure they'd be all gone by now.
I’ll be dipped. Dearborn tests at 12 & 7 - so your comment about the evening text is not off base - and Moore’s Hill is completely dead, unfortunately.
