Watching this made me realize how KPOP definitely was inspired and influenced by JPOP, especially with SM groups I noticed that the iconic 'SM' sound is definitely heavily influenced by JPOP in general, the harmonization and dance breaks especially. It is what I like the most when listening to SM songs back then from SNSD, SuJu, SHINee, etc. Even the fantasy concept, I prefer JPOP more they seem to focus more on the art in itself instead of overly selling the looks of the idols, their rap to singing is also well done. The dance especially, imo I prefer JPOP's dance performances, they seem to go all out on the singing and dancing itself which is so rare to find in KPOP. It's either the singing is needed intense vocals and with easy simple movements, or vice versa, hardcore choreography with little sing lines and more on instrumentals or EDM pop.
To the owner of the channel. Pop music isnt only about idols. Please showcase japans finest pop songs in the mix to give a fair comparison. Show these shallow kpop fans that jpop is a very diverse space with variety that exceeds the typical beat drops and dancing idol groups.

Here is my honest opinion. I don't like idol concept, no matter what country is it. Japan, Korea, China, etc if its idol thing then its a no for me. As for the music, i prefer japanese songs (may be because i do watch anime alot) i rarely listen to kpop, so maybe my opinion not that accurate. Kpop songs are typically hip hop style with 1 or 2 person to rap and i personally not a fan of that. Meanwhile the Japanese songs offer more variety of music, thats why they catch my attention more. And when i say jpop, its more like King Gnu, Kenshi Yonezu, Yoasobi, etc. This is my personal opinion and no hate to kpop tho.

Korea invests alot of money and production value in idols its not fair to compare it to another country like Japan who invests more into band and solo artist production. Sony and universal japan are some of the most high quality song producers in the world its a shame not to showcase their best products.

I know there are soloist but their numbers are not as big as idol group. But when you say jpop then people will most likely think about kenshi yonezu, utada hikaru, yui, LiSA, etc. Because japanese idol group is not as popular as korean idol group. So how can you blame people having stereotypes when it is in basically what kpop is in people's eyes.

私は日本人ですがダンスポップだとやっぱり韓国の方が盛りやがりがありますよね、日本はアイドルという文化もありますがやっぱりバンドやソロ歌手の方などの方が好きです！最近の日本のアイドルは韓国寄せようとしていてあんまり昔のアイドルの良さがなくなっていて本当に悲しいです。ジャニーズも昔は大好きだったんですが今いろんな問題に直面していて離れてしまっています。韓国の方はよくダンスポップを聴いているイメージなので他のバンドの曲なども聞いてくださるとうれしいです！おすすめはミセスグリーンアップルズ、ゆず、GReeeeN、宇多田ヒカル、安室奈美恵さんなどです！
