      When I was in the Bat I kept a wrist slingshot and a long 550 long corded one like the one you demonstrated. I was always hunting small game when in the field.A lot of rabbit snake a few birds, nutria, small pigs. We competed in the platoon who was better. Always kept carrots onions and rice. Wow, Pathfinder struck gold in getting you to join them. Every single video is 100% education and no BS. Love it! Love that Crusader mug too. My canteen cup is one of my favorite pieces of gear, I don't think they even issue them anymore. The secret to using the very versatile poncho is to carry TWO of them! 🤣 Killer video, always.

      @@OPSTuT I'd love to know the inside story of why GB2 left, I love that guy. And the whole mess with Shawn Kelly, what the hell? Dave is moving on just fine though.

    • @jeremymoses7401
      @jeremymoses7401 7 месяцев назад +7

      @@asmith7876i believe GB² has mentioned before that it was just a character issue between him and Dave; no ill will, just didnt click. Shawn is easy, he wants to be his own boss; but that puts him in direct competition with Dave and in his shadow following the same footprint as he persues the same path. I like Shawn, how i found Dave, but Shawn's own ego gets in his way🤷‍♂️.

    I saw a method of using branches as filters. Presumably, one could scale that as large as a garbage bag using two garbage bags and some saplings carrying lightweight materials. How much water could be effectively processed using a canteen cup kit and at what point do we have to scale up. Do you have any experience with this method? Could it be used with limited effect on sea water, perhaps in a daisy chain, where each leg reduces the salt content by half?

      Check surplus shops for old ponchos. Thats where I found mine. I also recommend Helikon they make a good poncho. Could always get two of the cheaper models and lay them together.

    Andrew brother you got to do some field treatment of different types of medical situations. I.e. wound treatment for infection, poisonous bites situations, botanical treatment of injuries. Also something I'm thinking a lot about is long term really long term survival in disaster scenarios where you are going to be alone. Psychological part I think is a big one. I've been in situations where I have been so alone for such long periods of time the silence, as you know becomes deafeningly loud. Basically how to break up this silence and also find the small spark inside of hope to keep going. I know I am asking a lot on this but I think you might have ideas on these things.
